lately i always knew how i wanna start my music, because i'm working on a concept album. the concept forces me to think of the things with a certain goal in mind. but usually i'm making beats like you, just starting with any pleasant sound trying to get somewhere, being guided mostly by my emotions

Nice video. Regarding mixing while producing: I wouldn't worry about doing it - I do some basic mixing just to make samples etc sound the way I want, knowing that I will do a final mix at the end. I think having a "rule" to not do any mixing while producing is counterproductive since EQs / compression can really change the feel of a sound and make you look at the whole track differently. Also something I suggest: try to pitch your drum samples up and down (like a non-destructive pitch without any timestretching) to potentially change the way they sound and fit the key of your chords. I notice for example that your snare could work better if it was a few semitones higher.

I can surely say that this is the best, absolutely the best, free autotune in the scene, just a question: i guess it makes the vocals mono or anyway it narrows the stereo image, is it possible to keep the vocals stereo after the pitch correction or it could create some technical problems?

finishaphobia. A lot of people have it! :) I have probably a thousand snips of stuff on my PC that are just an idea. I have tons of pages in MS Word of story ideas. I doubt I'll finish 3% of it all because I'm just not motivated to work on any of it because of too many other things I need to do and dabbling is like being a couch potato. Easy to throw down an idea and walk away. Very hard to work on that idea for 2 weeks and finish it w/o doing other ideas. Good luck, man!

oho interesting. I was actually doing a bit of doing the opposite, had been troubling on finishing anything, just starting the DAW and not much doing anything. So I started ,as I actually planed in the beginning but had not the appropriate gear. So now I stream at least once a week, joined a nice community. Growing my reach a bit. Have fun. i can tell you from experience trying to accomplish weekly uploads takes a lot of your precious plugin development time. it also forces you to find something interesting to talk about every week and let's be honest, some weeks are just ok. they are not crazy nice, they are just fine. nothing to talk about, but alright and that's ok. but it can also push you to be more creative, because you have the goal to actually accomplish stuff not just for yourself, but as a responsibility for the world. that's motivating. so it can definitely help if you feel too unproductive now. i've talked to many devs who also say they have too less time to actually make music anymore. albums are totally out of question. but i try to fight against that as well. it's important to stay close to the music to have good plugin ideas after all.

I just tried this on a dance cover of the 80s classic Every Breath You Take. I use an AI female voice Synthesizer V. Then I use Spoton with both knobs on max. Sounds awesome after correcting the notes for scale. I have two suggestions. 1. Have an option to show the key letters. 2. Don't waste too much times on theming. The important thing is the function and that it looks good. I will probably support you by buying some other plugin at some point. You do great things and I hope you get paid for your work. 🎉

Does it also do a bit of formant correction under the hood? Just interested because i found out that the width/chorus sounding signature antares autotune effect can be achieved by using 1-10 percent of formant correction. And im pretty sure that Antares uses a bit of formant correction even if its turned completely off in the plugin. Tried it with bx tuner. Great plugin btw :)
