What pisses me off the most is that the movie admits ecological forces are at stake here with the locusts with no natural predators absolutely obliterating farm land but then pretend the big ass dinosaurs that Earth's animals could never compete with wouldn't fuck up the earth the same way. When Chris Pratt just waves goodbye to those raptors at the end I was absolutely pissed. They're gonna multiply en mass seeing blue can reproduce without a mate. They're going to annihilate all the prey and predators of the area and then kill everyone nearby when that food supply runs out. Chris Pratt has single handedly murdered every small unattended child near that forest
@@zacharyalfano9846 I was getting bored after the chase scene, it was barely about the dinosaurs here, it was mostly locusts and a company commiting famine for profit.
Indeed. Releasing a mink from a fur farm into wild where it isn't native is disastrous enough. Imagine the havok that releasing predators such as tyrannosaurus, mosasaurus or Hollywood velociraptor wreaks to animal populations. Not only that, but I'm not sure many ecosystems can sustain a sudden introduction of large herbivorous dinosaurs. It is so stupid to suggest that dinosaurs can easily live alongside modern life.
MrJasonRed As soon as I saw that the trailer had explosions in it, I knew it was gonna be bad. They turned Jurassic Park from a horror to a Micheal Bay action flick.
I like how Alex said that they're just taking things from more talented people like John and Steven and blatantly shitting on their work. Sounds like most of entertainment these days.
of course, if you don't know enough to make something good yourself it becomes very difficult to improve something someone much better than you made for you.
Evil cannot create anything new, they can only make poor imitation of things that already exist. Yeah, "evil" sounds outrageous, more like narcissm with inferiority complex.
My 10 year old niece who's only seen Jurassic Park and Jurassic World even said to me during the climax of this film "Why are the originals always better?" This is not a kid who grew up with older movies. Jurassic Park is literally one of maybe 3 other older films that she's seen. The other two are The Sandlot and E.T..
Franchises on list: Star Wars Star Trek DC Jurassic park Transformers Terminator Predator Doctor who Marvel (for me personally) Fantastic beasts Fast and furious Next up Lord of the rings
I think fallen kingdom greatly affected the direction of the franchise by going into the direction of cloning humans. It was really a can of worms to not go back from. You would think from the first movie the idea of doing all these genetics to bring dinosaurs back was applicable to doing the same of medical stuff for humans. I think because of that plot it no longer fit Jurassic park. Thought the underground market of dinosaurs should have been the central plot
I thought the cloning thing was genius, and after having this cloned girl with dino dna in Fallen Kingdom I f**king hoped they went somewhere with that in this film. Also Alex critiques the “weaponizing dinosaurs” plot of the first movie, and again, I thought that was genius. This isn’t Jurassic Park, this is Jurassic World. New ideas, higher stakes.
One big issue I had with Dominion is that there were too many main characters. It was obvious that none of them were in any danger, so the stakes were non-existent every time they were on screen. Compare it to the first film where Ian is disabled, Tim gets nearly electrocuted, and Arnold and Muldoon get killed by raptors. The Gigantosaurus in Dominion looked like it was just playing with the main characters. It just stood there and waited for them all to run, and there were way too many of them in the same scene near the end of the movie.
Yeah, that's one of my issues with the movie. I was ready to see one of the main characters, mainly Ian Malcolm, to die in front of my eyes..... but nope..... no one dies! In fact, no one actually got extremely hurt. They all live happily ever after! I sadly had to accept the fwct that this movie wasn't thr perfect rap up for the Jurassic Saga I was promised, so I'm slowly listening to other criticism for the movie. But obviously I'm not watching this one, mainly cause these three were already biased of the movie from the start. -_-
"You read what others have done, and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge yourselves, so you don't take any of the responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses, to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a lunchbox and now you're selling it." - Ian Malcolm Pretty much describes the JW franchise, or any major Hollywood IP now.
Lmao yeah, I find that really funny that Ian Malcolm in the first movie basically, unintentionally of course, foreshadowed how Jurassic Park was going to be handled in future movies.
Well, I kinda wished Fury Road was more like its opening 10 minutes throughout, and it kinda got meh when it focused on Furiosa. The best parts are the action sequences with Max, honestly.
I can't believe I waited all this time so that insects are the biggest danger ... Sometimes the chase scenes felt ridiculous. For example the T-Rex standing right in front of them and than they go around the car? And again he is right there and everyone can climp the latter in time... I really hoped we see dinos in the real world. The story with the black market would have been interesting. All the sub plots should have been the main focus and not the kid. Its about dinosaurs, not humans.. Overall it was okay, I enjoyed some action scenes and the family theme. It was cute, but I wouldn't watch it again.
I'll be honest the moment you said "we don't spend too much time with dinosaurs in the real world" I immediately lost interest in it. That's the only reason to get excited for this movie, was to see the chaos of dinosaurs invading the modern world. Like the climax of Lost World, but a whole movie. If its not that, why bother?
If you haven’t watch it, let me encourage you some more. The first act, all of if was dinosaurs. The second act is to plot heavy and less dinosaurs, the third act… its nostalgia trip and some dinosaurs I love the film for the first time, but I will pass for rewatching.
@@hijikili2656 It should be called Locust world what a pile of shit, that was supposed to be about the consequences of dinosaurs in the world. not the consequences of locusts
A person with half a brain would understand dinosaurs in modern world is a concept you can stretch out into 3-6 films with no problem, fuck it, even into a TV show, give things time to breath, but nooo, they have to cram 3 films into one, held together by nostalgia. From Treverrow to J.J. Abrams, from Transformers, Terminator, Aquaman, always the same problem.
Like, make it a shitty disaster blockbuster but with dinosaurs. That's all I want. Even gimme the stolen kid plot, have Owen and Blu go on a goose chase to get the kid while society goes to shit, that could be fun
When does he not have that face? Alex is the greatest writer in the world. Nothing is on his level. He hates everything because it’s not too his liking.
after reading a good number of Chrichton's novels, I want to give this discussion point, the point of Jurassic Park isn't about the dinosaurs, or about their scientific accuracy in the novels. the Point is about the worries of Unchecked Science gone rampant. the dinosaurs are just a medium for the horrible things that could go. instead of dinosaurs, the subject matter could be about genetically engineered roaches that feed on radiation but become hazardous to the world around them when they spread too far beyond control, or about Mosquitos who are engineered to carry a super virus. the real danger within the novel Jurassic park is about the horror that could happen with unchecked, unrestrained genetic science.
I really wish this comment was highlighted. Because that's exactly what it is. Good luck on convincing the masses to open their brain that much though...
Very well said , all complaints on writing are exoteric, but the esoteric is where its at in this film. Why else would Ian put the password "1984" for his first guess? Thought police anyone?
I found it hilarous that with the amount of dinosaurs AND people in the movie, not a drop of blood splattered during the entire film Gotta make it super child friendly for those green dollar bills from kids somehow!
Yep. Crichton wrote about chaos theory, and used cloning dinosaurs as an example. Jurassic Park is a VERRRYYYYYY underrated novel. It's actually quite deep.
People tell me the same thing with Disney Star Wars; "Just turn your brain off and enjoy it!" If you have to turn your brain off to enjoy something, that just screams at how bad it is.
The biggest problem with the new trilogy is that they chose to make it an Action/Adventure versus Thriller/Adventure that the original trilogy captured.
Also, the first one was more than just a generic flashy action with dinosaurs, it was more than that. It told a better story, had better characters, it had a better direction, visuals that still hold up, there was such an amazing sense of awe! When the dinosaurs showed up it was incredible, now they’re just there. And I think the biggest difference between the first one and all of the others is just how thought-provoking and overall clever it is.
@@Howlingburd19 I gotta say I have an amazing idea for what this trilogy should have been as a pitch: imagine if Jurassic World was about not just one park that had dinosaurs but a large handful already located in the States and the European continent. You have a band of eco terrorists who are so sick of these corporations not learning from Hammonds past mistakes they orchestrate a global catastrophic release of all the dinosaurs. Maybe a part of the reason for this is that the leader lost his daughter or someone he loved to an accident from the past sequels, like the San Diego incident. This could be a great sci-fi mystery thriller about Owen and Claire working at different parks training dinosaurs not because they are like dogs but because of the genetic coding. The operation runs with the idea that they are not making authenticated dinosaurs and we could have a brilliant commentary on how far paleontology has evolved as a science. I would even have a more cooler looking version of the Indominus Rex in there too. More intelligent, more terrifying, and more hard to kill. Picture something for the Indominus Rex like Kothoga from the Relic, a brilliant creature design from Stan Winston. I would also have Indominus survive to be the core Dino-villian of the trilogy. Now for Fallen Kingdom, I would just have this be about living with dinosaurs all over the planet. JURASSIC WORLD. I would also have the legacy cast show up here working on helping the CIA bust Biosyn who was trying to cover their tracks in the creation of the Indominus. NO INDO-RAPTOR. It's not as scary to me. And no silly plot armor set pieces where the cast feel like their in an Indiana Jones film or Mission Impossible, be more survival horror where Owen and Claire have to meet Grant, Malcolm, and Elle at the rendezvous points escorting a cloned child who is important to Biosyn's one goal as part of a sub-plot to find a possible cure for cancer. Make it more like the Last of Us and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Unfortunately just like Last of Us, the child would die from the operation. Explaining why Owen and Claire keep her hidden. I would have some very emotional risks taken with the story too. The child Maisie as a clone could be failing as a successful experiment and developing cancer herself...yes I would go there. Her last wish would be to just help save some dinosaurs as any child's/young adult's fantasy would be in this scenario. I would make her likable and very similar to Joel and Ellie from the Last of Us. Saw this coming as soon as they confirmed the old cast was coming back. These days whenever a franchise brings the old cast back, I just assume it's trash. It happened with Terminator, Star Wars, Indiana Jones. They're just trying to cover up their crap with nostalgia.
I'm usually not that great at criticizing movies when watching them the first time, but with this one, even I could tell that there were a LOT of coincidences and moments where the protagonists got lucky. And they really went overboard with the action sequences in some parts, where you'd maybe get 2 minutes of calm before another dino goes "I smell protagonists!" and another chase sequence starts. The old cast coming back with the old leitmotifs playing in the music did also feel a bit like they were pandering for nostalgia.

“If you simply want to be entertained” and “turn your brain off” are defenses for bad movies. I have some terrible movies that I love that I can turn my brain off and enjoy, but if you have to flip a switch and ignore inconsistencies and your lack of suspension of disbelief, that’s your first red flag that you have a bad film and usually means the writing is shit.
This. Which is exactly why I say if I ever become a movie director I'm only making c rate action films and horror films. The quality doesn't matter since people will watch anyway.
Exactly, you don't have to turn your brain off for good movies. And there's also a line between I can forgive some plotholes in exchange for really cool and well shot sequences. Vs this movie is complete trash and hurts to watch. I see that difference very clearly in the Pacific Rim movies. Both didn't have that great of a story, but 1 made it acceptable and 1 didn't.
Though I have to wonder, is there ever a movie where it's a "turn off the brain" movie but well made (the closest I can think of is like a popcorn flick).
I think the biggest problem I have with the world movies is you weren’t supposed to turn your brain off for the first Jurassic park. Why arent we holding the sequels to that standard?

at the same time i have started to understand movie studios. because ajs for example barely qualifies as a "review" since they tell everything that happens almost minute by minute. so if a movie doesnt seem interesting i just listen these reviews and i already get pretty much the experience. its not like the 200 word reviews you used to read in newspapers.
The movie studios are at a Impass... Make good movies that draw people in and draw more in via good word... or flop into a bed of money and take a nap.
Yeah that's literally untrue. This movie will make a billion dollars and live in film history. This TH-cam review will fall away into obscurity in 3 days from now. Sorry bud.
I was 5 years old when the first Jurassic Park movie came out and that film was my entire childhood. My mom bought the VHS tape three times because I played the movie until the film broke. Seeing where the film franchise is at now from where it was with Jurassic Park and Lost World really hurts. I'll say that Dominion was significantly better than Fallen Kingdom, but I still walked out thinking wtf was that? One pro I'll give it is that I thought the supporting cast did an excellent job. I liked the pilot, I thought she was cool and I liked the guy who helped Malcolm. The Tim Cook looking villain was complete joke.
I hated the pilot. She was barely allowed to do anything except look badass. When people were running around she was slowly strutting to a weapon. i hated the whole movie lol
I mean it's ridiculous to think that the amount of hunters in the world wouldn't have made all these dinosaurs extinct before they ever got a chance to take hold.
They would never have a chance if they grew to a huge number ..this ain't deer ..they don't go down in 1 shot ..have you played Dino crisis on hard lol
Damon, humans about made the meanest and most deadliest predators extinct with bows and single shot black powder rifles. I think dinosaurs would be easy prey with the amount of semi auto high caliber rifles we have available.
I feel that movies lost the mystery after the internet blew up. When the trailers are so long and show majority of the good parts of the film, there's really no surprise. And being able to watch or talk about everything with anyone around the world also had an affect since spoilers are everywhere.
No it didn't dude. I know why you say that because it does feel like it but actually the good movies were made with hugeeee efforts and pushing throughs against corporate demands and public/market/idiots opinions. Some of those movies exist against everything and everyone. It was just a matter of time before the quality dropped... The bs was ALWAYS there! The people that pushed through get weeded out, because they can't stand all the bs... The people that made it were the ones who had an obsessive passion about the thing. With the internet it makes things sort of more spread out and generalized... So you get more of it. You can't blame the wheels of a car if the motor sucks you get it? And actually, I'm not being totally fair... Because I've heard some actors (from those special movies) saying that the film crew can also be big jerks and a brake to the movie development and/or quality. So it's not just the corporate or public's fault... It can also so be due to internal factors of the movie making. Not just external factors like I implied. Hell even the actors can be a brake. Making movies is difficult dude! It's a battlefield. Lots of forces, lots of moving parts, sometimes you have to step up, sometimes you have to swallow your pride. Only those with strong will and a clear vision make it
I will never get over the moment from the Fallen Kingdom, when that stupid kid basically unleashed a horde of apex predators upon innocent people because "they are alive, just like me". Yeah, screw logic and billions in property damage ... and thousands if innocent people dead ... everything caused by a damn cloned kid, because "them feels are importanter than common sense and logic". There is single thing I liked in Fallen Kingdom - the moment when Claire asked Owen if he's willing to let Blue die and he said 'yes'. That was it. The entire new Jurassic Park trilogy can be described by the fact, that my 6-yo loves it. It's a kid. He likes dinosaurs. He couldn't care less about the plot, characters, writing. It's just a dumb CGI WOW-fest. They are relying on heavy Memberberries to drag our - 1993 Jurassic Park generation into theaters, but it doesn't work. And it never will. Shame!
Mine was the auction. One of the most ridiculous scenes put to film and it shows how much they don't give a shit about this franchise. I HATE fallen kingdom. Although I feel I'm in the minority because I actually liked Jurassic World, didn't love it, but enjoyed it.
Anyone remember the original Jurassic Park? Remember how it was a film that had something to say about genetic engineering being taken too far, too fast? Remember how it made you think and reflect? Remember how it made you care about its characters? Remember how it was actually scary? Remember? Hollywood: Hur-de-hur, munny go BURRRRR
We need to CBT them every time they say member. Remember when that organ used to work? Me neither! We need more molten gold for this one! That would be painfully ironic, a gilden cage quite literally.
The franchise went from thought-provoking science fiction genius with a fair share of action and awe, to generic flashy action movies with CGI dinosaurs…
Good thing is, they didn't throw away the old cast like Disney Star Wars, loved their arc. They should really only focus on the Dinos around the world & the new Island with the pure gen accurate Dinos, instead of the locust. Kinda like stopping a third park/world to happen again, sounds cheesy but it'll be more interesting imo.
Honestly they felt nothing like their original selves. Alan is an out of touch old man, Ellie is very bitchy to Alan especially when Ian is around and Ian himself is just Goldblum hamming up his lines like he doesn't particularly want to be there. I was hoping we'd get a more cautious/jaded Alan but we got a love sick puppy instead
Totally agree, the movie is a mess but I kept thinking “at least they didn’t pull a Star Wars and destroyed the cast from the original”. Still better than the sequel trilogy for me.
Lol in Star Wars… Ford hates the franchise and wanted to die in return of the Jedi Fisher actually died Hamill we will never know his real opinion Williams… who cares, lando is a boring character
Nothing in this franchise will ever come close to the original. Especially how magical that movie felt in the theatres back in '93. To this day it still holds very well, it's a masterpiece.
It was made at the right place at the right time. A true once in a lifetime film that even Speilberg himself couldn't top because there never was or will be a way to top it
I surprisingly didnt think the movie was complete garbage. There was some things to like. But to me the biggest problem was just how convoluted the plot was. So many things going on. Jurassic Park 1993 was a simple movie. Small cast, an island, and dinosaurs. It was simple, sweet, and contained. This movie is so overcomplicated and so long. It's just too much. It's too much. During the whole MALTA sequence I was like. Is this still a Jurassic Park movie or what? I was kinda expecting Dwayne Johnson to show up.
@AtheJbaka that whiny fucker isn’t right. There are still a plethora of artistic movies that continuously come out. Movies like JW are always gonna be present in cinema
The second Jurassic World might be one of the worst movies I've ever seen to where I actually walked out of the theater. It is EXTREMELY rare for me to do that

What we need is a Jurrasic trilogy that takes everything down to primal fundamentals. This strangely ignores Isla Sorna, so we all just assumed the dinosaurs from Site B didn’t exist anymore, were moved or retconned. But NOW, Dominion specifically explains and shows that the dinosaurs from Sorna were moved to the sanctuary in Italy. So what was the point of Fallen Kingdom? And why the hell would you remove the dinosaurs from Sorna where they were safe, isolated and thriving and put them in Europe?
I am all for the fact that the franchise wanted to have Dinosaurs on the mainland and thus a "Jurassic World". Everyone complaining and criticizing how that would lead to a logistical nightmare, property damage, ethical concerns, innocent people being killed, ecological disasters, etc etc don't realize that those all AREN'T problems with the franchise, they are opportunities for good stories and conflicts and dilemmas to explore narratively. MY problem with Jurassic World is that it didn't put in the required effort to organically arrive to that point and doesn't make any fucking sense on how it got there. So it all rings hollow and feels shallow. Great. Doomed from the start.
The problem isnt that it would cause mass panic. The problem is that the gov would come in with the army and kill every dinosaur in about a week. Hell, normal citizens would just start hunting them down. You think Im going to just give up my safety so that Trex's can just roam around my neighborhood?
@@TheNichq That's not how that works lol Invasive species don't just immediately roam into human neighborhoods and they are a constant factor in America all the time and we absolutely struggle with controlling their populations or counteracting the problem. It really grates my mind when people think that something as simple as "just gun them all down lol" would work when that hasn't worked against Emus, Deer, Wild Pigs, cats, etc. And the government getting involved would lead to a massive and costly logistical nightmare. One that would probably prove ineffective and see massive pushback from multiple organizations, both conservational and corporate interest. Hell, it would be much more likely that corporate interest would incentivize recapturing and housing as many as possible in sanctuaries/reserves or zoos. It is not that easy to just cull a population as people seem to think it is, especially once it makes it out into the deep wild and proliferates. America can't even kill a bunch of Hogs, but people out in these comments really thinking it is gonna wipe out a population of asexually reproducing animals that have no natural predators lmfao
This movie definitely sealed that this is the end of the Jurassic franchise. It's not a good movie in a lot of ways, and considering the producers said they'd wait and see what the future is, obviously that means the critical and financial reception of Dominion, all the reviews say enough.
They said the same about Jurassic world... then they released crappy Fallen Kingdom... and then said the same thing... then they released this junk. Colin Trevorrow is a terrible director, Writer and producer... literately has never been involved in anything good and used his bank account to get his name on the famous title.
That’s a damn shame. I had hope, but given how atrocious the last one was, I shouldn’t have been surprised. Doesn’t matter that I still wish they could have ended it off strong.
Considering everyone made fun of the premise of this movie when it was announced, you had to be deluded to think this was gonna turn out well. Sure it would have been nice to be proven wrong but Hollywood has no talent left.

“This is the last film” Fast and Furious has labeled Furious 7, Fate of the Furious and F9 as “the last film.” Universal won’t let this franchise rest for longer than 15 years and they’ll get Chris Pratt to cameo mark my words.
Is it kind of sad that Kong vs Godzilla was better then this movie? And I love the original Jurassic park. Kong vs Godzilla had heart and fun action scenes. This movie I don't know what was. They wasted potential of a epic story about Dinos and humans adapting together which could have been fun to see in our world. But they wasted that full potential
Jesus, I guess I needed to hear it from someone else. I really couldn't stand Fallen Kingdom after they made half the movie take place inside that mansion and that whole thing. Really loved the first Jurassic World as it felt much closer to the adventure from Jurassic Park. The only reason I'll see this eventually is to see the og Park cast really...
For me to enjoy movies like these my suspension of disbelief needs to be tied up, gagged, thrown into a space shuttle, then sent off to the far ends of the galaxy... and that's just to get me in the theater.
I think that's how I went into it after seeing it today. however towards the end I started to slowly realize something is wrong with this. Despite that, I left the theater happy.... Some people might not be happy with me having said that but hey, grandma wanted to see it with me so I went.
The bad guy looks exactly like the Apple CEO Tim Cook and the Dinobase looks like exactly like the Apple headquarters. The bad guy is from Jurrasic Park. Lewis Dodgson, the guy who bribe Dennis Nedry to smuggle dinosaur embryos off the island.
As bad as this movie probably is, I still recall that there was a moment when they were considering making a Jurassic Park movie about genetically modified soldiers with dinosaur DNA. And that actually reminds me that Rambo 5 was almost a weird sci-fi story where he has to hunt down a man whose has been genetically spliced with animal DNA. Now I'm thinking that terrible Jurassic Park 4 idea might actually be worth watching if you just add Rambo to it.
There's always something to learn in this movies though. Take, for example, the Atrociraptor. Well, the film illustrates one of its peculiarities: it is a predator that is able to adapt its running speed to that of its prey, but not to reach it, but to make it feel its breath on the neck. Thus, as we have seen, when the human flees on foot, the atrociraptor follows him relentlessly, making him believe he can reach him at any moment; when the human gets on a motorcycle, the atrociraptor, wickedly, increases its speed of pursuit, always with the aim of terrorizing its prey. It goes without saying that the Acrociraptor, precisely because of this curious feature, did not have to wait for the arrival of an asteroid to become extinct ...
Just saw the movie last night, and this is what I think. SPOILERS pros 1) Really good mixture of practical effects and CGI. 2) seeing both groups of main cast members interacting was probably one of the highlights of the movie. Especially when Alan Grant and Owen Grady heard of each other and were fascinated by each other’s field of work. 3) Action is pretty hyped up and adrenaline building, from the chase in Malta, two the battle against the Giga. 4) None of the main characters die! Not even Blue and Rexy! Cons 1) Repetitive storyline and setting. I wanted to see more dinosaurs in human settlements, 2) Aside from Dimetrodons, all we get are Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and the Mosasaur. We have seen in Camp Cretaceous other extinct animals have been brought back, from Anomilacaris to Sabre-tooth’s and Wooly Mammoths. Yet we see none of them. Not even an Easter egg. The Jurassic Saga creatures are not strictly dinosaurs. 3) The two groups meet does take a long time to actually happened. While it’s not the last 15 minutes, I would have liked them to meet half way through the film. 4) Hardly any Blue and Rexy! Two dinosaur individuals that have developed such character arch’s of their own, being treated more as cameo characters in the apparent final movie. Blue especially. 5) False advertising. The trailers gave it this whole humanity is facing extinction. While the ending is ok, the overall story just doesn’t make me feel that “ok, one species will remain as the dominant species”. Instead it just coexists from the start. Improvements- If I made the movie 1) Obviously improve on the negatives. 2) Leave an ending where it’s satisfied that the franchise can end here, but still leave that ponder that how long can this coexistence last? Maybe a mid credits scene showing a run down city, with a T-Rex roaring in the street. Showing that dinosaurs reclaimed the planet. 2) Find a way for Blue to be added more into the story. She gets captured with her young? Just wanted to give her more screen time. 3) Reveal the fate of some other characters. E.g. Tim and Lex, Roland, the Kirbys, Billy, Zach and Gray. 4) Mention events of Camp Cretaceous. Not a lot of adults I know will watch it because it’s too kiddy. But for the fans be nice to add some elements of the show, while also encourage others to give it a shot. 5) While the Therezinasaurus was awesome. I wouldn’t have added the dinosaur into the final fight between Rexy and Giga. If it was me, for pure nostalgia, I would have added Spinosaurus. The rivalry on the lovers and haters of Spino could be resolved peacefully if the Dino was involved in the fight. On one side helping Rexy, on the other maybe it gets killed by the Giga. THEN Thera can get in or let Rexy go solo. But that’s a big personal nostalgia that me and a lot of my friends would have liked to see. Features the three big carnivorous dinos in one scene.
Dude it’s 2022.. we’ve got to stop praising special effects, it’s not hard for these arseholes to do this anymore. The writing of movies now is shit, creativity is long dead and has been for years now. All that matters now is MONEY
I wanted this movie to be like dino crisis 2, or planet of the apes meets Jurassic Park. i wanted to see dinosaurs taking back over the forests, breeding out of control, survivalist type situations where people have stopped living in population centers and have to hide in the forests among the dinosaurs, if the beginning of the movie opened up like a zombie apocalypse, where its dark, the dinos are out of control, they are beginning to reclaim parts of the cities and using them as hunting grounds.... thats what i want out of a movie like this
Yeah, but it's starting to come off as try-hard. He strikes me as someone you'd never want to talk about your favorite movies, shows or games with, because he's very likely going to spend the next ten minutes telling you all the reasons you're an idiot for liking any of them.

Now that this trilogy is over, I’d argue there almost as much wasted potential for this trilogy as the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Solid start for both trilogies, both derailed by overly ambitious middle entries, and both ended with movies that felt like 3 separate movies shoved into one trying too hard to wrap things up. In short, I think the remake era of movie franchises should end.
I was so confused when they give blue's baby back and it like summertime. Like wasn't this is over like a day or two when they left it was winter time and now it's summer?
It was dumb but was a fun movie
@@zacharyalfano9846 I was getting bored after the chase scene, it was barely about the dinosaurs here, it was mostly locusts and a company commiting famine for profit.

That, and Dr. Cardigan's asinine solution literally leads to Children of Men.

You're giving Disney IQ too much credit there
@@M419.99 Disney? This universal💀
@@M419.99 Disney? Wtf you talking about 😂
Yeahhh! The underground market would have been amazing 😭
You stood on the shoulders of geniuses, to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a lunchbox and now you're selling it." - Ian Malcolm
Pretty much describes the JW franchise, or any major Hollywood IP now.
Lmao yeah, I find that really funny that Ian Malcolm in the first movie basically, unintentionally of course, foreshadowed how Jurassic Park was going to be handled in future movies.
Exactly. The perfect analogy here

The second act is to plot heavy and less dinosaurs, the third act… its nostalgia trip and some dinosaurs

after reading a good number of Chrichton's novels, I want to give this discussion point, the point of Jurassic Park isn't about the dinosaurs, or about their scientific accuracy in the novels. the Point is about the worries of Unchecked Science gone rampant. the dinosaurs are just a medium for the horrible things that could go.
instead of dinosaurs, the subject matter could be about genetically engineered roaches that feed on radiation but become hazardous to the world around them when they spread too far beyond control, or about Mosquitos who are engineered to carry a super virus.
the real danger within the novel Jurassic park is about the horror that could happen with unchecked, unrestrained genetic science.
Man I still need to read it. This is a really, really good point about the dinosaurs being interchangeable with something else.
I found it hilarous that with the amount of dinosaurs AND people in the movie, not a drop of blood splattered during the entire film
Gotta make it super child friendly for those green dollar bills from kids somehow!

It's a real joker Dino that wants to watch the world burn, not the Giga. And that would be my setup for the first film. Make it less silly and B grade and more a serious creature feature where a corperation wanted to create this monster for the sake of making a domestic creature that evolved to be bigger than they thought it would be and more intelligent then they thought. Not to weaponize dinosaurs. I would just have the breed of raptors Owen trains be genetically modified to be less like a Dinonynchus and more like an actual mutation of a science fiction creature.
The relationship with Owen and his raptor Blue would also be more developed as the two work on finding the eco terrorists from the first installment. Some dangerous set pieces here and there. Nothing bombastic, only small scale and visceral like the Jeep attack from the T-Rex in the first film. I would have the journey of the legacy cast take Grant, Malcolm, and Elle from the locations we saw I think in the Middle East to the same locations as Owen in Utah during the winter. With a climax culminating in the death of the central human villain and a terrifying cliffhanger with our legacy cast seriously injured, maybe near death. Like the second season of Hannibal you would all need to wait for the final installment in this trilogy to see who survived the bloodbath from the Indominus Rex and it's large army of disciplined genetically engineered dinsouears who have evolved since the last eight years of the first film in the trilogy. Becoming almost as intelligent and hard to kill as the Indominus, even being able to live in the harsh snowy climate of Utah or Oklahoma. A very Planet of the Apes concept that reinvigorates those prophetic words of Ian Malcolm instead of just winning people over with nostalgia, that when you try and control life itself and put a price tag on it as a lunch box, selling it with absolute apathy, life will soon find a way. And also.........no Dodgson is in this whole trilogy.
You could all use your imagination for that last chapter as it were for what it could have been. I would call it as a trilogy JURASSIC PARKS, THE NEW WORLD JURASSIC PARK, AND THEN WE HAVE JURASSIC WORLD. 🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕🦖🦕 😎🤠👩🏻🦳 Last three emojis are supposed to be Malcolm, Grant, and Sadler. I'm pasting this comment around TH-cam to see what people have to say about it as a lengthy pitch.

I was excited with the premise of Dinosaurs co-existing with Humans in modern timeline. But I’m disappointed how they tackled it
But it wouldn't work in any way cause there not meant for the modern world. To be realistic would be humans hunting each dinosaur down to extinction again with nine trying to save them.

Agreed
The movie studios are at a Impass... Make good movies that draw people in and draw more in via good word... or flop into a bed of money and take a nap.

The first one sucks too, you were just a stupid kid who remembers it fondly.
All of these movies are corporate commercials and nothing more.
I hated the pilot. She was barely allowed to do anything except look badass. When people were running around she was slowly strutting to a weapon. i hated the whole movie lol

Only those with strong will and a clear vision make it
I just saw the movie today, 2 months after release. Never watched a trailer or had anything spoiled. Movie still sucked.
Shame!

What we need is a Jurrasic trilogy that takes everything down to primal fundamentals. A series of movies that explores the dismantling of a park that ends with the whole thing collapsing all while exploring the wonder and terror of intricate personal human conflict when you introduce dinosaurs on an island. Why have the park fail from the start only to explore something less compelling.
I gotta say I have an amazing idea for what this trilogy should have been as a pitch: imagine if Jurassic World was about not just one park that had dinosaurs but a large handful already located in the States and the European continent.
When Ellie and Alan are sneaking through a laboratory to carefully retrieve a giant prehistoric bug to get a DNA sample to prove to the world that Biosyn is responsible for a forthcoming mass extinction with entire flocks of said prehistoric bugs, I wanted to scream, "WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH JURASSIC PARK!?"

@@justinwilliams2522 well apparently she isn't an exact clone and the person she is a clone of is now her creator. Which makes no sense. Unless I am a narcissist, why would I ever clone myself?

And that actually reminds me that Rambo 5 was almost a weird sci-fi story where he has to hunt down a man whose has been genetically spliced with animal DNA. Now I'm thinking that terrible Jurassic Park 4 idea might actually be worth watching if you just add Rambo to it.
It not bad second best film in Jurassic Park films
Alex is rapidly becoming my favorite reviewer lmao his face alone at the beginning
Unless it's a marvel movie he's extremely biased when it comes to anything marvel.
He got a cute face
SPOILERS
pros
1) Really good mixture of practical effects and CGI.
Cons
1) Repetitive storyline and setting. I wanted to see more dinosaurs in human settlements,
2) Aside from Dimetrodons, all we get are Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and the Mosasaur.
Improvements- If I made the movie
1) Obviously improve on the negatives.
Good take I surprisingly enjoyed this movie I thought I would hate some parts are actually pretty good, I loved the chase scene.
I love this comment
Dude it’s 2022.. we’ve got to stop praising special effects, it’s not hard for these arseholes to do this anymore. The writing of movies now is shit, creativity is long dead and has been for years now. All that matters now is MONEY
Jurrasic Park World out of the trilogy is still the best one of the three but nothing beats the original 👑🦖
So you’re a Jurassic Park Defender?
@@MegaMr46 sounds more like he has an opinion? I know it’s a strange concept
@@linken0879 ah nah man, I defended the Jurassic Park Trilogy. Because of the dinosaur, I was asking you if you are, but if not…that’s fine
I don't think I like any of them. I feel like Jurassic World is still bad. But people will watch anyway
Jurassic World beats the original Jurassic Park film??? LOOOL what
I wanted this movie to be like dino crisis 2, or planet of the apes meets Jurassic Park. i wanted to see dinosaurs taking back over the forests, breeding out of control, survivalist type situations where people have stopped living in population centers and have to hide in the forests among the dinosaurs, if the beginning of the movie opened up like a zombie apocalypse, where its dark, the dinos are out of control, they are beginning to reclaim parts of the cities and using them as hunting grounds.... thats what i want out of a movie like this
I totally expected that! Sort of an intro like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
I'm so happy for people like Alex who say it blunt and to the point.
You mean people who dont like anything?
Alex hates fucking everything and doesn't understand why people would like this movie on any level other than YAY DINOSAURS
Yeah, but it's starting to come off as try-hard. He strikes me as someone you'd never want to talk about your favorite movies, shows or games with, because he's very likely going to spend the next ten minutes telling you all the reasons you're an idiot for liking any of them.
@@AirahsELL he just gave a 10 to Maverick yo
@@Shatterhand2049 doubt he's like that off camera, this is a show remember. They're reviewing a movie but they also want to make the review entertaining to watch with differing and blunt opinions. I guess you also think IRL Joe gets angry af and screams at people all the time?
18:06 - THIS, thanks Alex. I thought that nothing can be more dumb than previous JW movie, but I was wrong.
In short, I think the remake era of movie franchises should end.
super happy with the first film, Jurassic Park (1993).
....good enough for me.
I loved when the Dinobots came and Chris Pratt said dinovengers engage! Much movie, good time.
I was so confused when they give blue's baby back and it like summertime. Like wasn't this is over like a day or two when they left it was winter time and now it's summer?
Alex's face says it all
I did enjoy the original Jurassic Park (1993) and the Lost World (1997). Everything after that I thought lost quality and charm
