TheSunCat yeah, it would have been cool if you would have been able to remove the pokio, the frog at the end and been able to change the bowser section.

Seriously, I'd advise you to have some respect for these people. Getting videos out consistently is very hard, I can say from experience. He made one little mistake, probably because my mod is packaged a bit weirdly. Do you think that's enough to start throwing insults around?
Tristan L2 first of all, the level is split into multiple files. The pokio and bowser secions are spearate files. At first, the download of the mod in my video was not explained correctly and only told you to load the first file, IIRC. So all he did was follow the instructions. Second, what's the point in insulting him? He made a mistake. He's not perfect. Are you perfect?

This would be great for a 3D Super Mario Maker.
The perfect run from SMG2 is still harder. With that level you’re constantly moving and if you stop, you’re dead. This level allows you to take a break at most of the platforms.

This is decently challenging but nowhere near Kaizo level. Kaizo requires memorization and frame perfect inputs every second practically.

That's not actually true. Kaizo has a pretty wide range of difficulty, the thing that makes something kaizo is each section having a specific intended method to get past it. This falls firmly into the intermediate kaizo category. Of course it's pretty typical for your average TH-cam commenter that only watches but never plays to only be exposed to the absolute hardest of the genre, so it's a common misunderstanding to have. And even the hardest RTA-viable kaizo levels don't require frame perfect inputs every second, that's a subgenre called pit, essentially TAS-only puzzles.

So cool to see a level specifically made for people who've mastered the trick jumps the devs put in the game, I would physically die if I played this but it's cool to watch

Definitely the easiest final level for a 3D Mario game. I still haven't beaten Crown World in 3D World... Fucking Piranhas, bumpers, and that damn timer.
If you want a Kaizo level, just use the Invisible Cap.

Yeah with the patch you now fall a lot faster plus they added a slightly higher wall making the pit before Bowser's painting impossible to pass with Glydon.
Small Weiner Eric Did you update the game? Cause now it's literally impossible to make that clearing with Glydon. Any attempts to bring Glydon pass the the warp pipe results in him instantly poofing away.

I beat the Darker Side using the Frog Glitch.
I honestly never found Darker Side to be all that challenging, just a nice celebration level, and because of that, I'm glad people could make it harder.

But in all seriousness, no. There is nothing with that given the option is in the game. My nephew also struggled, so he turn on assist mode and finally start making progress. He's not good at exploring at his own pace.
I was about to say that this level didn't seem too bad by Kaizo standards, until you reached the tornado section.
Imagine if you could move like Mario in real life and had a magic hat like Cappy.

Not really. Some things could hace been changed to make it way harder. I don't really think it's a lot harder compared to the original
Go play original kaizo. That's hard. Or ninja gaiden black on master ninja; that's some real man challenge. Or god hand in very hard. All those are quite fucking hard while having extremely well overall design.
For that yoshi elevator section when you are grabbing those coins, if you quickly tap the tongue button yoshi's tongue won't extend that far and you can grab all the coins from one side, it is a lot easier and it is a lot faster.

For the most part, it’s almost like the same stage, but with a few changes. This isn’t really that special other than the beginning. I’m a little disappointed.

I don't know how someone could dislike this. It's nightmarishly hard at the beginning for sure. I like the fact that you took some damage. Keeps things real. I am very very glad that Nintendo did not make the level that hard 😄
It's funny because in a decade or so this level will just be considered mildy difficult compared to the newer levels

I get it's only been a year, but it would be cooler to see a custom level that has more than just a "you have to do this section CAPLESS" gimmick to it. The sections where the difficulty was actually ramped up were great though! Hope to see more creativity in the future

It'd be for PC and cost a ton of data, but you could make 3D Mario levels with 64, Sunshine, and Odyssey texture packs, sound files, and assets.

It's cool! My biggest issue though is that you don't always see where you go which usually isn't a great thing in level design, but maybe that's voluntary

man i think this just goes to show how easy mario odyssey is, this hack basically just removed some elements from the original yet it was still possible. The level design in odyssey feels like they didn't know half of mario's moveset

Idk how they’d be able to do it but I really hope Mario Maker 2 includes 3D Mario games as well like 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and Odyssey. If they added those plus everything Mario maker 1 had just updated, it would be a game changer
as a joke there should've been a block ontop of the scarecrow at the end and a section where you need cappy to get to the pipe so that if you use the scarecrow you won't be able to get cappy back
