ill be only to watch my hero academia but is it dumb that ill pass this season on anime i just got myself into an apartment and ive become to busy for anime also sometime can i recommend an yuri anime to sometime?
George Lecter yeah I don't think him crying is for comedy. You read aot? I'll give you few examples of madman. When Erwin loses his arm and he doesn't even blink he doesn't care about himself he only cares about the mission and says "advance" While being munched on by a Titan. Someone like that is what I call madman.
the scene when he starts losing hope thinking he's gonna die then starts saying I'm sorry mom , reminds me of that iconic spider man scene in the comics , the cartoon , and the homecoming movie where peter is stuck under tons of rubble and thinks he's going to die slowly giving up then he remembers he gotta save gwen even if it makes means destroying his body , he stands back up , lifts the rubble in so much pain and saves the day , just like deku in this fight , scenes like that feel so scary it shows you how far a human will go to survive and how far a hero will go to save someone , just like tetsutetsu said .."crisis" , crisis can make humans go beyond their body limits and that's true , adrenaline pumps you up and you yourself won't believe how much you did in some situation
wow the episode was a masterpiece, I really appreciate that deku didn't convince kota with the common talk-no jutsu, he really showed him what's the heroes's job and why his parent's sacrificed themself.
FOR REAL!!!!!!!!! Both the dub and the sub did an INCREDIBLE JOB but the sub took it to a whole different LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shaking and crying for Midoriya and Kota
Muscular was more than just a cliche bad guy, he actually has some Joker level crazy ideology. He's known to be the Glee Killer/Hedonistic Murderer, to him everything is just for fun, and everything is a fair game, he wants to kill people, and the heroes want to stop him, they are both trying to do the things they want, it's a fair game, so even if the heroes failed to stop him and died, nobody should blame him, because the fault is on the heroes who's not strong enough to stop him. It's kinda like what Stain said: "If we clash, of course, the weaker will be culled." Even when he lost his eye, he didn't blamed Kota's parents, because the game was fair and square, it's just a good old insane villainous philosophy.
He reminds me more of Carnage than the Joker truth to be told, more direct physical violence less theatrics, nevermind than Deku is more similar to spiderman than batman.
I think you are reading too much into him. He's not that complex, just a psycho brute, and he isnt right in the slightiest, He's blaming the heroes for dying for trying to stop him from killing people.
@The Beast No Im not, the guy was reading too much into it. The My Hero fans are the ones who tend to think that every detail and aspect of this show is unique and special.
@The Beast Childish me or the one who got butthurt and angry because someone told him the show he likes isnt that special? Childish me or the one who started to throw insults like some enraged fanboy over an anime series for kids? Muscular is a one dimentional villain, he wasnt in the right and he wasnt as complex as this guy portrayed him, he was a one note villain introduced for a big moment in Midoriya's character.
@The Beast Child me or the one who keeps acting like a little child throwing a tantum over what other guy told him? Joke me or the one who got ape shit angry and started to throw insults because of a kids show? What that guy said about muscular was almost all assumptions coming from him, because the only thing that was presented in the series is that he's a psychopath who likes to kill people. End of the story, anything else are fanmade theories about him.
When I read the manga I was under the impression that Izuku was screaming at the end of the fight, not just reeling from the unspeakable amount of pain.
Maybe next week will open up with a scream. Pretty sure he did scream but the frame froze so it was shown from a more artistic point of view in this episode
That was insanely good. And of course some salty f*****s appear to claim that HeroAca is overrated. Seems like their favourite series isn't doing so well compared to this greatness ;D
It wasn't a power up. all that happened was that when people are intense situations that surpass their limits. Like a mother lifting a car to save her baby, or somebody jumping far from a burning building etc. This is what Izuku did with OFA he temporarily passed his limits. Anytime someone does this tho the have extreme draw backs. The brain limits the full use of muscles and power because it can harm the body, just like Izuku with his damaged arm and you will see the full extent of the damage later. But when it's bodily harm or die the brain releases those restrains and that's what happened with Izuku. It was more like 110% instead of 1,000,000%. Also there is plently of backstory of Izuku harming himself to protect others. Or going plus ultra. But hey maybe that's a generic asspull to you.
*+Kevin* He used his true 100% while using his fingers (Delaware) to blow up the majority of Muscular's muscle mass defense before landing his first solid hit against the near defenseless Muscular with his fist (Detroit). That's not a generic asspull power up. While Muscular is pretty irrelevant to the overall plot, he's important for character development.
All this time I was wondering why Horikoshi didn't give Izuku's new move a new name, but now thanks to Bones, I finally get what actually happened during that last scene, Izuku used 5 of his fingers to release Delaware Smash to break Muscular's fibers, and then used Detroit Smash to knock him out. That was so badass!!!!!!
I'm pretty sure the thumbnail should be labeled "Swole boy vs even more swole boy". You know, it didn't occur to me when the manga covered these events, but Magne's quirk and her gender have a bit of a relation, don't they? There's...something here. Something about poles we could take to be symbolic, but I can't quite put it into words for now.
This is spoiler-ish, because it will probably be covered later, but Magne's power is magnetism (duh) where the poles assigned correspond to the gender of the person affected (opossite genders attract, same genders repel), and she can alter her's freely, so both things are deeply connected.
To me the relation is that her power directly goes against her identity. Magnetizing men vs women would basically prove to them the transgender women that you cannot truly transition between the two. However she cannot magnetize herself so she just ignores that contradiction. Very interesting to me
I have an interesting thought. Stop reading if you don’t want spoilers from the manga. Okay so we see in the opening song when all might is powering up his energy coming out of his body is purple but we know that from the OFA (one for all) that all might’s energy is yellow. This is the interesting part upon reading the manga it’s explained that all might’s teacher was killed by AFO and he uses this against all might to throw him off mentally during the fight. All for one summons the power of previous users so it’s almost as if I’m the moment the reminder of loss of his master is so strong that he’s literally manifesting her energy which is simply an underlying powerful metaphor that I hope the animators thought of when they made the animation.
As a man in my 30's this episode had me in TEARS, which is extreamly rare. No lie, at the end of the episods, I yelled out "MIDORIA, YOU'RE SO FU**ING COOL!!!". It great being a anime only type sometimes. EDIT: Damn Chibit, thanks for the warning. I make sure to drink plenty of water.
You know who is my hero? Studio Bones. They took an absolutely amazing moment in the manga and somehow made it even more amazing in anime form. I sometimes wish BnHA was a running anime instead of a seasonal one. We could have greatness like this all year round.
Yeah I thought too. In the manga the fire seemed black or at least a darker color but personally I don't really mind them being blue. It was weird at first, of course, but in my mind black flames= Amaterasu
if you think about it because he didn't grow up with a quirk he started late in the game. I know usually a dad teaches his son how to fight and I haven't seen any male influence other than All-Might in his life. You also got to remember that he was rather wimpy and a huge cry baby. With an attitude like he had at the beginning of the show it's no surprise that he doesn't have any fighting style. One would think that getting chased and bullied he might learn a thing or two in self-defense.
Shoot style IS a fighting style. Irl it's more commonly known as shoot wrestling; a Japanese pro wrestling style that relies heavily on kicks, knee strikes and a lot of full contact moves.
The fact is the writer and people who write noticed that this was a friendship power up but yet the fans can't seems to see it with their own eyes. It's pretty bad when the author sees it and you don't see it. Naruto,Gon,Goku show strategy in their fights, cleverness along with skills and training. Deku just throws one punch every time. None of his punches were getting through then all of a sudden super friendship power up. No actual skill was displayed. The thing that disappoints me is the quickness of the forest training and the training in general and most importantly the fights. None of these fights are top notch epic. I wouldn't compare any of these fights to the other great anime fights.
Once again I just wanted to say that recently your reviews have improved a lot!! I think it's great to show images and short clips from the episode you're discussing and also panels from the manga. Amazing Chibi!!!
Wonder why they didn't use you say run during the 1million punch (similar to the deku vs todoroki ending) You think they're saving it for "that" fight?
After Boku no Hero is done completely by Bones they should get the right to adapt Berserk again because they know how to do this shit properly and maybe we can finally get the adaptation Berserk deserves. With that said..this episode was by far one of the best of the series alongside the Todoroki/Izuku fight and Stain's Fight. Kota finally realizing what Izuku is to him hit me right in the feels and although it was a bit clichee it was still very impactful. I can't wait to see what happens next because there are a lot of villains left and a lot of fights to be had in the next upcoming episodes. ;D
The voice actor isnt getting enough credit imo. They PERFECTLY captured dekus complete and utter madness and insanity in this moment. Dekus heroic to the point of turning into an absolute madman, and the voice actor and animation staff portrayed that so perfectly i love it so much
Izuku's voice acting is sooooooooooooo good, especially in the end when he is getting crushed and saying sorry, you can feel his emotions, really makes the show even that much better
This episode deserves more praise than it is receiving. *slow clap* one of the best episode in the anime adaptation. *NOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR KIRISHIMA AND LEMILLION'S ARC WITH THE YAKUZA GUYS IF EVER BNH GETS A FREAKING 4TH SEASON NEXT YEAR!!*
See this! This guy is the shit! He knows what this episode was meant to represent and the message it was showing. I appreciate it how he can explain and discover all the tiny nuggets of detail this show has unlike the people who just say "oh, this figh is so over done, its ruined". Respect man
I think izuku did help bakugo in the end bcuz if he didn't jump in to try and save bakugo I feel like all might wouldn't have done anything due to his state. Remember, all might even says that you can't save everyone. In this case, bakugo would have been a casualty of all might not being able to power up at the time. But due to izukus heroics, all might said fuxk my limits and did the job. Come to think of it, I'm sure instences where all might couldn't use his abilities where bountiful so it's not uncommon for bakugo to be one of the unlucky ppl that all might couldn't save. Even tho he felt responsible, he was going to leave the scene until izuku stepped in
This adaptation is absolutely stunning. They handled this episode so freaking well. I knew what was going to happen, but still couldn't help but get emotional
A few things i want to get out of the way. This fight was amazing i honestly believe that this was better than the manga. The animation and ost were absolutely amazing (along with that spectacular voice acting like "HORY SHITO"). Speaking of the ost there were a lot of people kinda dissapointed by the lack of you say run all i have to say to that is "things get stale when used too much" you say run is great but let the studio show off its other osts for this season. Finally would be about how this seemed like and asspull to some. I have to disagree. Midoriya would have fucking DIED if kota wasnt there lol he was literally crying for his mommy before kota distractes musular. Also would be how Midoriya used his power. Deku has ALWAYS been this strong however he cant just use it whenever which is why hes going trying to take a different approach to the one for all. To me this was an amazing episode. That is all.
The most striking part for me in this episode was when Izuku got the light back in his eye after Kouta did the little water-shot. That hue of green, and the way it stood out against the rest of his eye reaaaaaaaaaaaally reminded me of All Might's eyes when he goes all out. Which I felt was a nice touch.
as a manga reader, i seriously can't wait until later in the season when they animate *that* fight and one of my favourite scenes that comes shortly after *that* fight. anime onlys... y'all are in for it. the anime is seriously amazing, the added sound effects for certain things only makes it better.
I like how people that read the manga aren't spoiling it for anime onlys. I thinks thats pretty cool tbh. We're both at the edge of our seats and it's only just starting!
I don’t understand, Deku punching nomu with 100% in season 1 caused a lot of wind pressure and looked really strong, but with muscular a lot of area destruction wasn’t caused??
Alex Green I believe musculars muscles absorb a lot of the impact which is why you don't see a lot of damage. This could also explain why the final hit was so devasting because it got pass his muscle and actually connected
It's great that you didn't explain the whole story even though you already know everything about the story. Your a good reviewer I think anime only will appreciate it
Izuku's voice actor did a phenomenal job in this episode sub or dub, those screams as he tries to push muscular off of him were powerful to say the least.
When deciding started saying mom I'm sorry and all night it sent chills down my spine and tears started to form even though I read the manga I still felt the emotion and the voice c Acting was on point
I really like who they cast as the VA for Muscular. It wasn’t as apparent in manga, but the rapid voice inflections and jarring impulsive lines really highlight his helter-skelter moral compass. His voice goes from normal speaking to sadistic excitement and yelling in a split second back and forth throughout the episode with no build up. It really adds something to his character. The anime definitely gets a plus one there over the manga.
If someone can explain to me why his arm didn't shatter, or just broke beyond repair after the 1M percent smash? I mean at 100 percent his arms break and are bruised as hell, so at 1M he should lose his arms entirely no? And what's more he uses 1M percent smash after having his arms fucked up by his 100 percent smashes, so it really surprises me he still has his arms attached to his body
I mean chibi already explained this in his video but just read check this link horikoshi (the author) explains the 1 million percent smash. www.reddit.com/r/BokuNoHeroAcademia/comments/6bcw1t/kohei_horikoshi_regarding_the_asspull_on_chapter/
I love how they animated dekus expressions, the pain and desperation he was in, not to forget his determination as well, studio bones really are amazing (side eyes studio pierrot)
The animation in this episode definitely helped make more sense out of Muscular's defeat than the manga. The red OFA power lines only appearing when Izuku rises from the ground visually tells us that he's pushing past his limits, and the 5-fingered Delaware Smash is more clearly shown dispersing the bulk of Muscular's fibres (which he needed to tank the previous and subsequent 100% Detroit Smashes).
But Izuku’s 100% punch isn’t All Might’s 100% punch right? All Might’s punches can change the weather so I feel like Izuku’s 100% isn’t All Might level. confused idk
Probably easiest way to frame it is that Deku overthinks. He assigns power levels mentally to different things because he’s a fan boy at heart and fans like power scales. He probably also vastly underestimates the power All Might holds and thinks his idea of 100% must be one for all’s actual 100%. (Anime only so just making a guess though)
I refuse to read the manga at this point cuz the animation as well as the soumd design accompanying my first exposure to the story is such an amazing time. If i read then sure i can still watch the anime but by the time i watch it its just what ive seen before but kinda better. Id rather just have the full great experience straight up
Anime onlys this is only the beginning
Chibi Reviews let's be honest noo! Body cares for class's B. Lol
The final attack of you know what would be a good name for a sex tape.
ill be only to watch my hero academia but is it dumb that ill pass this season on anime i just got myself into an apartment and ive become to busy for anime also sometime can i recommend an yuri anime to sometime?
there is a class B?
This episode is goddamn good. *AND HERE I AM WAITING FOR KIRISHIMA AND LEMILLION'S ARC*
When Kota said "boku no... boku no hero" my soul was filled with joy
Martin Garra We all did too ;-;
th-cam.com/video/l1aR8oifo7o/w-d-xo.html
My heart is like
"Rooooll CREDITS!!"
My boy Dabi didn't even let Eraserhead breathe before he lit his ass up. I love this guy.
john smith every scene with him brings me joy. Him Twice and Compess are my favorites from the League of villains
Ikr.
Bro wait until next week
Why is this comment so funny lol
I appreciate logic in writing. A smart villain would do exactly that. Not a long speech about how evil they are and how smart they are. Just BLAP.
but why eraserhead always gettin fucked up tho
Midoriya continues being an absolute madman!
G_Spark233 ABSOLUTE UNIT
He is still a crybaby a little bit but this was a good development he is not on a level of madman yet.
George Lecter yeah I don't think him crying is for comedy. You read aot? I'll give you few examples of madman. When Erwin loses his arm and he doesn't even blink he doesn't care about himself he only cares about the mission and says "advance" While being munched on by a Titan. Someone like that is what I call madman.
the scene when he starts losing hope thinking he's gonna die then starts saying I'm sorry mom , reminds me of that iconic spider man scene in the comics , the cartoon , and the homecoming movie where peter is stuck under tons of rubble and thinks he's going to die slowly giving up then he remembers he gotta save gwen even if it makes means destroying his body , he stands back up , lifts the rubble in so much pain and saves the day , just like deku in this fight , scenes like that feel so scary it shows you how far a human will go to survive and how far a hero will go to save someone , just like tetsutetsu said .."crisis" , crisis can make humans go beyond their body limits and that's true , adrenaline pumps you up and you yourself won't believe how much you did in some situation
yasser montasser yeah me too
scientific term for this phenomenon is hysterical strength,
yasser montasser I know,Izuku Parker
That scene actually made me legit cry like a baby ;-;
I like the scene after that when Kota shoots water at muscular man and he looks at Kota, like wtf man.
wow the episode was a masterpiece, I really appreciate that deku didn't convince kota with the common talk-no jutsu, he really showed him what's the heroes's job and why his parent's sacrificed themself.
Neoshadow Reigns the most OP ninjutsu, bad guys can't handle it
One of the many reasons to love Deku, he more likely to break his fingers to prove a point than just talking.
Well it was a good episode but not a masterpiece
Rick Grimes maybe it is in their opinion perhaps
So glad garbage in the franxx isnt coming out this week so it can be buried down by my hero academia's popularity
Studio Bones are the real heroes.
Ah ah, I think Horikoshi also deserves a tiny bit of credit, no? :p
Yohohohoho
+Alerion Horizon
yep Bones did the manga justice
Luis Pereira of course, that goes without saying.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate Izuku's voice actor going PLUS ULTRA this episode during the fight??!
He was amazing !!!! PLUS ULTRA!!!
FOR REAL!!!!!!!!! Both the dub and the sub did an INCREDIBLE JOB but the sub took it to a whole different LEVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shaking and crying for Midoriya and Kota
Studio bones censorship, done everything right compared to studio pierrot.
LOL
iimSky terraformars reminder😱😱😱
Yeah even the stuff they did to TG is kinda meh
the uncensored version is soooo much better
Yeah they ruined tokyo ghoul , fck them
Wrong, this is where Izuku becomes a man who will be a hero! The Greatest Hero!! I nearly cried while watching that fight
Karl Singh same man it was such a great episode
Karl Singh
Same man same.....
same XDDDDDDDD
i thought i was the only one HAHAHA
Same here man that was emotional 1,000,000 smash
Studio Bones is the goat for making me feel like an anime-only
Jello Jelly hell yeah bones getting the love it deserves. One of my two favorite studios.
Leo Hernandez And I'm guessing you also like madhouse??
gainax/trigger & Bones. Madhouse is definitely a top tier studio though.
Trigger is my favorite overall
Yeah gurren lagann fan for life

Thank you
You'r god damn right
In Chibi we trust
CozmicSaber's Opinions same here
CozmicSaber's Opinions nice 20 minute videos :D
When I read the manga I was under the impression that Izuku was screaming at the end of the fight, not just reeling from the unspeakable amount of pain.
Hououin Kyouma! There wasn’t any sound effects shown so I didn’t think he was screaming.
He was screaming but nothing came out.
Fenrigus That may be the case.
My head cannon is Deku is screaming at such a high frequency that humans can't heard it because you know his arms are FUCKED.
Maybe next week will open up with a scream. Pretty sure he did scream but the frame froze so it was shown from a more artistic point of view in this episode
Now he could actually _deserve_ to win Best Hero in the anime awards this year!
Nah, that goes for All Might
Could, not would.
Dude he already won best hero for both 2016 and 17 .
Yeah, and I'm saying he shouldn'tve.
well it's your opinion :)
Muscles reminds me of Reiner tbh
Justin Y. Because he is, comment guy
Justin Y. He looks like Bakugou but older.
Reiner's Seiyuu iz the same as Tokoyami
Muscular*
Justin why are u everywhere
"SORRY, MOM!! MOM!! I'M SO SORRY!! -- ALL MIGHT!! ALL MIGHT!!!"
The way Midoriya said really hit me. It had so much feeling!
hmm
Yo Chibi! Love your videos. Especially the MHA ones. Keep up the good work man! Just don't push yourself too much :)
I don't think that was in the manga tho
Y U R I It was actually
That was insanely good. And of course some salty f*****s appear to claim that HeroAca is overrated. Seems like their favourite series isn't doing so well compared to this greatness ;D
SAY IT AGAIN SO THE PPL AT THE BACK CAN HEAR YOU :D
It is overrated tho, this was your generic asspull power up for the hero to beat some random villain with no backstory.....yay?
It wasn't a power up. all that happened was that when people are intense situations that surpass their limits. Like a mother lifting a car to save her baby, or somebody jumping far from a burning building etc. This is what Izuku did with OFA he temporarily passed his limits. Kevin Delgado literally happens in every shounen
Did anyone else get shiver watching izuku comeback from that punch 😭😭😭😭
Naiel Joseph I got a shiver reading this comment
Damn it was nice adapted.... My ass was sweating troughout the fight
BakaBaka
Ass sweat
Great
If your ass ain't swampin, you aint feelin.
I see EvilEye
Brendan Goh I see a man of culture
BakaBaka I was really salty that they didn't play "you say run"
All this time I was wondering why Horikoshi didn't give Izuku's new move a new name, but now thanks to Bones, I finally get what actually happened during that last scene, Izuku used 5 of his fingers to release Delaware Smash to break Muscular's fibers, and then used Detroit Smash to knock him out.

Izuku went PLUS ULTRA for sure

Psychronia do u know if magne was born make or female?
I assume she was born male, since she currently identifies as female.
Psychronia I was thinking that too, just wanted to be sure
This is spoiler-ish, because it will probably be covered later, but Magne's power is magnetism (duh) where the poles assigned correspond to the gender of the person affected (opossite genders attract, same genders repel), and she can alter her's freely, so both things are deeply connected.

Studio Madhouse or Studio Bones should get the rights for OPM season two
evandragonfire that's because madhouse doesn't make seasons 2s very often.
Anime studios are dope. Is there a way a man can support them directly?
Karl Singh madhouse used to have it but they dropped it
And reboot Tokyo ghoul
Do not worry, basically OPM is a freelance work
I have an interesting thought. Stop reading if you don’t want spoilers from the manga. I've never felt so hyped in my life when Izuku had that final comeback.
Muscular was Deku's Nomu and he Plus Ultra'd him and set him in his place.
David and Goliath: *My Hero Edition*
A perfect way to describe this ep, esp. The Scene.
I'M SO PROOOOOOUD
ME TO BRO!
Chibi Reviews two*
Gama spy wrong......it's too lol
No why can't you all understand that is written "tou"?
As a man in my 30's this episode had me in TEARS, which is extreamly rare. No lie, at the end of the episods, I yelled out "MIDORIA, YOU'RE SO FU**ING COOL!!!". It great being a anime only type sometimes.
EDIT: Damn Chibit, thanks for the warning. I make sure to drink plenty of water.
chibi I'm a man I can admit defeat, you were right. I WAS NOT READY FOR THIS
Donta Smith If you haven't read the manga, you will also not be ready for what happens at the end of this arc
Xavier Parker Bro you cant do this to me i barely got pasted this how am I expected to survive
Donta Smith Man idk lol. Next season will be even better than this one.
Xavier Parker Send for the fucking police
Xavier Parker Ehhhhh that's debatable, but it will certainly be great.
You know who is my hero? Studio Bones. They took an absolutely amazing moment in the manga and somehow made it even more amazing in anime form. I sometimes wish BnHA was a running anime instead of a seasonal one. We could have greatness like this all year round.
If it was a long running it would eventually run into issues. Its better for it to go on breaks
Chibi Reviews Yeah, you're right. I just love this series so freaking much.
Izuku gonna need some flex tape in order to fix that arm of his.
SoulFox THAT‘S A LOTTA DAMAGE
HOW ABOUT A LITTLE MORE
Sero is COMING TO HELP !!!!!!
Midoriya's voice actor made me cry... He did such a well job...
Am I the only one that thought Dabi’s flames were gonna be black?
i thought it was going to be black smoke in the manga similar to delsin from the infamous games
Jorge Gutierrez
Same
Jorge Gutierrez I thought he had the amaterasu, the blue flames look cool though
Yeah I thought too. In the manga the fire seemed black or at least a darker color but personally I don't really mind them being blue. It was weird at first, of course, but in my mind black flames= Amaterasu
Blue fire is the hottest fire
Literally been refreshing my sub box for hours waiting for this video
Bones RIGHT!!
Bones guilty as charged
Your discussions are the best man. So much analysis, thought, and passion goes into what you choose to review. Keep up that work my guy :D
I have watched this fight so many times I have memorized the dialogue.
Who else had tears
I change my name a lot 2 .0 Meee
i like how muscular did not stop and talk about their plans like all shounen villans do
Now that I think about it, Izuku has this amazing quirk but he doesn't really have any fighting skills...
Aun The Geek spoilers
hé will have some skills next Season i Guess. Thé shoot style i think it was
if you think about it because he didn't grow up with a quirk he started late in the game. I know usually a dad teaches his son how to fight and I haven't seen any male influence other than All-Might in his life. You also got to remember that he was rather wimpy and a huge cry baby. With an attitude like he had at the beginning of the show it's no surprise that he doesn't have any fighting style. One would think that getting chased and bullied he might learn a thing or two in self-defense.
noureddinee kouroghlii Well shoot style is just a different use of OFA, not really a fighting skill
Shoot style IS a fighting style. Irl it's more commonly known as shoot wrestling; a Japanese pro wrestling style that relies heavily on kicks, knee strikes and a lot of full contact moves.
Aliklnk but shoot style didn't do shit against overhaul
That fight is so beautiful. My pants can only handle so much. This is only the beginning tho....
HOLY SHIT THEY DID IT BOIS! THEY FINALLY DID IT!!
This goddamn anime always makes me tear up a little bit. When little dude calls deku his hero I lost it lmao
The way stain laughed at Deku in season 2, looked more like a ninja turtle
some manly tears were shed in this episode
This episode gave me chills. Plus Ultra!!!!!
I just love your passion and how you contain yourself from giving spoilers since you're caught up in the manga , respect 💜
Thank god for Bone's adaptation!!! This episode was phenomenal!!
Wonder why they didn't use you say run during the 1million punch (similar to the deku vs todoroki ending) You think they're saving it for "that" fight?
Most likely a remixed version of it for that fight
I'll have high hopes for them! They'll make it work
Good decision from the director to not overuse it
Sleeping in the bus
Fair point actually, glad you made me take that into consideration!
*THEY HAVE TO USE IT FOR THE NEXT FIGHT*
After Boku no Hero is done completely by Bones they should get the right to adapt Berserk again because they know how to do this shit properly and maybe we can finally get the adaptation Berserk deserves.
With that said..this episode was by far one of the best of the series alongside the Todoroki/Izuku fight and Stain's Fight. Kota finally realizing what Izuku is to him hit me right in the feels and although it was a bit clichee it was still very impactful.
I can't wait to see what happens next because there are a lot of villains left and a lot of fights to be had in the next upcoming episodes. ;D
Bruh I love this guys review cause I feel like he catches everything I catch and it’s always relatable, chibi my nigga fr
Deku getting his arm broke reminded me of Kurapika vs Uvogin.
That One Guy at 7/11 Yep
That One Guy at 7/11
Ooh I now thought of that yeah it's a really similar scene......
Only difference Deku can't heal the arm..
No giant black spots
Trust me this Arc is one of the best. Just trust me Anime only viewers.
The voice actor isnt getting enough credit imo. They PERFECTLY captured dekus complete and utter madness and insanity in this moment. Dekus heroic to the point of turning into an absolute madman, and the voice actor and animation staff portrayed that so perfectly i love it so much
*_It was at this moment, where Izku became a True Hero_*
Bro this was a great review, like detailed analysis. Better than any youtuber I've watched, had to subscribe
Even manga readers aren't ready
Izuku's voice acting is sooooooooooooo good, especially in the end when he is getting crushed and saying sorry, you can feel his emotions, really makes the show even that much better
This episode deserves more praise than it is receiving. *slow clap* one of the best episode in the anime adaptation. *NOW I CAN'T WAIT FOR KIRISHIMA AND LEMILLION'S ARC WITH THE YAKUZA GUYS IF EVER BNH GETS A FREAKING 4TH SEASON NEXT YEAR!!*
The Anti-Social Teitoku Yyyyyaaaaaassssss
Lemillion vs Overhaul episode will be dope as hell
Pipehiguita Heck yeah
Thank you so much for giving a detailed review and explaining a lot of stuff I didnt understand. Awesome review!!
When the review is as long as the episode
See this! This guy is the shit! He knows what this episode was meant to represent and the message it was showing. I appreciate it how he can explain and discover all the tiny nuggets of detail this show has unlike the people who just say "oh, this figh is so over done, its ruined". Respect man
This episode was amazing they truly did the manga justice with this one!
Chibi's reviews are always on point. This is fun to watch!
Which I felt was a nice touch.
good info on the 1000000% thing i was wondering about that thanks chibi
best episode of the season so far holy shit I was almost in tears!!
Great episode!! Great Review.
as a manga reader, i seriously can't wait until later in the season when they animate *that* fight and one of my favourite scenes that comes shortly after *that* fight. anime onlys... y'all are in for it.
the anime is seriously amazing, the added sound effects for certain things only makes it better.
Yo the DUB THO????!
Unblessed Soul dub was hype!
Unblessed Soul Ikr I dont watch the dub but WOW THAT VOICE ACTING IN THE DUB WAS AMAZINGG
Might need to see it
Jocelyn Reyes Muscular's voice was pretty damn good
Chibi Reviews some scenes in the dub were said differently though but overall amazing
Honestly, your content is amazing, you are so good
Does "The Scene" have anything to do with the hand Bakugo and Shoto found next to Moonfish?
Not a manga reader yet, so please, without spoiling much.
That is one scene but not the one I'm talking about
Awesome sauce, back to being clueless then.
Appreciate the no-spoiler answer.
Dw just wait like 4 episodes maybe 5 i don't really now and you'll understand xD
Aww man, the way he says it made it seem, for me at least, that it was going to be in the next episode.
Let's just say it involves Almight's greatest enemy...yeahhh, Chachinggggg!!!!
Alex Green hard rock
He punched him a quarter way through a mountain.
Alex Green what exactly would wind pressure do to a freaking mountain?
Alex Green I believe musculars muscles absorb a lot of the impact which is why you don't see a lot of damage. This could also explain why the final hit was so devasting because it got pass his muscle and actually connected
Muscular doesn't have shock absorption but his big muscle mass works similar
It's great that you didn't explain the whole story even though you already know everything about the story. Your a good reviewer I think anime only will appreciate it
I CRIED IN THIS EPISODE
Izuku's voice actor did a phenomenal job in this episode sub or dub, those screams as he tries to push muscular off of him were powerful to say the least.
when i read the manga i thought dabis flames were smoke like delsin from infamous because it looked black to me
I ended up crying at how beautiful this scene was and how Deku was ready to die to save Kota. That determination!
The irony behind getting a condom ad before this.
LOL
I got a Barbie commercial
Karen LM ...The duality of man.
They are trying to say, before you 1,000,000% delawere detroit smash a girl. You should wear protection.
When deciding started saying mom I'm sorry and all night it sent chills down my spine and tears started to form even though I read the manga I still felt the emotion and the voice c
Acting was on point
Makes me feel bad for the anime onlys cuz they don't know whats coming lol
Thanks chibi i was waiting for this video soo bad and gesus christ i'm now 100% more hiped than before
Probably my favorite episode so far
Dude just watch the video.
I love how they animated dekus expressions, the pain and desperation he was in, not to forget his determination as well, studio bones really are amazing (side eyes studio pierrot)
Better than Infinity War.
How?
S S you’re on the right track. His 100% isn’t as strong as All Might’s 100% *yet*.
Dekus true 100% punch can turn back time
S S it was probably the level of the weighted All Might from the final exams
I Changed My Username lol no
Probably easiest way to frame it is that Deku overthinks. He assigns power levels mentally to different things because he’s a fan boy at heart and fans like power scales. He probably also vastly underestimates the power All Might holds and thinks his idea of 100% must be one for all’s actual 100%. (Anime only so just making a guess though)
Man Chibi you are my favorite My Hero Academia reviewer whether it's the anime or the manga
I refuse to read the manga at this point cuz the animation as well as the soumd design accompanying my first exposure to the story is such an amazing time. If i read then sure i can still watch the anime but by the time i watch it its just what ive seen before but kinda better. Id rather just have the full great experience straight up
I was watching this on the train to vacation, had to contain my excitement.
But when Kota said, my hero, i shed a tear
