    One of the points Sal mentioned is super important (healthy lean). Particularly for women that tend to store fat in their lower midsection and they are lean everywhere else, it could be super difficult and even dangerous to get the low body fat percentages that allow them to get rid of little pouch - amenorrea and pre-menopouse syntoms could come (women need body fat to produce key hormones).

      Funny thing is i swear women hold their fat in legs/ass and men hold it all in their stomach. I've seen girls who don't even workout who have a smooth stomach and they're not skinny. If I have any excess bodyfat it's all in my stomach.

    1. Lower body fat percentage
    --- decrease carb and empty calorie intake and perform cardio, HIIT, etc.
    2. Work the TVA as these guys recommend
    3. STRETCH
    --- having tight legs, hip flexors, or lower back muscles (other areas may exacerbate) can cause a "sway back" and cause the stomach to protrude. This is a big reason why a lot of skinny guys can have a belly.

    Caloric deficit and intermittent fast. High protein and healthy fats as well as get your micronutrients in. That paired with a great routine will get you lean and rid of that

    • @SoullessPolack
      @SoullessPolack 3 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      Almost spot on. The intermittent fasting aspect is largely irrelevant. It certainly can work, but there's nothing inherently special about it. You can lose weight just as well with keto, with low fat high carb, low carb high fat, etc. Diet type largely doesn't matter, rather, calorie deficit is by far more important than anything other than adherence/consistency. That said, IF works well for some people because they just do well on it, it fits their lifestyle.
      I used to do it for years. At that point in my life it was great. Now, with a kid and my current job, it's much easier for me to eat 5 or 6 meals a day, and that works just as well now as IF did back in the day.

    Ahhh the age old question. Check out Lyle McDonald’s work. He has some interesting theories on this. Women tend to get the low abs faster when dieting. For me, I had to get sub 10 percent body fat to finally tighten up the lower abs. They were visible before then, but the ab veins and shredded low abs and hip flexors very pronounced takes a LOT of digging. Lyles work speculates that fasted cardio with yohimbine can help free up the stubborn fat faster, but I can’t tell if it’s the protocol or just the diet continually that made them reveal. I also think hanging leg raises a few days per week helps them pop too in combination. I do agree that each time you diet down with more muscle you can make them pop more.

    I like what the guy said about reverse dieting and then cutting again. I had 20 years of fat that I whittled down over the last 2 years and now I’m pretty lean everywhere but my lower stomach. I think I would lose too much muscle if I keep going. I’m going to try the reverse diet and then cut again like he said.

      sort of true but not necessarily. I do believe you can increase oxidation in areas....for instance....someone with fat/soft calves....make them walk long distance for even 3 days....now consider each step taken as a rep. their calves become noticeable very fast. This same approach can happen to any body part but we're talking an extreme amount of reps...several hundred a day...daily...
      Arnold talks about it in one of his books...high crunches in between cardio...

    • @canttakeanymore
      @canttakeanymore 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Joker200084how does what Arnold did (which is about a LEAN BODYBUILDER targeting a specific muscle for growth, not fat spot reduction) have to do with reducing belly fat with crunches or some other fad? Growing muscle like you describe can certainly be done, but that specific targeting is not going to increase overall lean body mass on it's own--i.e. reduce body fat in one place or ANY place. Like I said: you can look it up. Muscles grow and get stronger under the fat covering them, if you work them like you describe.

      @@Emiliah1996 anterior pelvic tilt just means your hips rotate forward so it looks like your stomach comes out and the front, and your bum at the back - the reason is usually mainly genetic but can also be related to muscle imbalances, so you could ask a physio. If you hold a lotta water easily it’s most likely too much carbs or salt, or maybe just inflammation in the body generally. Try different diets/foods and see what works

      Not really.
      If you eat the exact same thing every day, you just eat a little less.
      There is 0 tracking needed.
      If you eat more varied foods more often then you need to track.
      I haven't tracked a single calorie on a scale in many many moons and I've gotten just as ripped (if not more) by just eating the exact same things every day and then peeling back a slice of bread here, or replacing a food source with another (replacing a starchy carb like potato for a more fiberous vegetable).
      Most pros don't track calories, they track what they eat then eat it the same day and peel back what's in that meal plan. No MFP necessary.
