I’m in the process of revamping my 00 gauge layout. I would love to model a smaller and more niche heritage railway, like the Volk’s Electric Railway in Brighton.
Thanks for videoing our show. General comment - why do so many layout operating teams run incongruous mixes of loco & stock? I don't mean complete trains of alternative periods, I can live with that on club layouts, but a train made up of stock completely out of period both within the train and between loco and train. Is it just lack of basic knowledge?
I enjoyed visiting the exhibition, filming the layouts and chatting with some of the exhibitors. As for the incongruous train make-up, you would have to ask the operators!
Another great show you made me want to visit in the forthcoming two years!!
Chard Junction brings back memories of my childhood. I spent four years at boarding school just outside Wincanton.
I love watching Benjamin's Barton St. David. A delightful layout for sure.
So do I. Not a complex layout and well operated.
@KeithTucker45 Yes, always very well operated. Unlike mine most of the time! 😂😂
What a fantastic show it was, and thank you for once again showcasing my layout, Barton St David.
@@BJP_Sim well deserved Benjamin. It's a wonderful layout.
My favourite layout in this video is the Benbridge layout because I love the steam hauled passenger trains!
I've seen this layout quite a few times and I think it has a good mixture of late steam and early diesels.

i think the 009 tittleshaw had to be my favourite, with all they managed in a fairley small area..
Having worked with a heritage railway - the Epping Ongar Railway - I can confirm that for me, it has to be steam or electric. My choice is steam!!

I haven’t seen a large American steam locomotive over here, so on which heritage railway line are you modelling?
What’s a Small Prairie doing hauling two Southern carriages? This isn’t prototypical!!
