Pokemon Stadium 2 (N64) - Gym Leader Castle Round 2 Speedrun in

Woo, finally got an improvement here and boy was it a big one. Really happy with this time, was only shooting for under 2:50, to get it under 2:40 is super good. Only 3 deaths (yes only, that's very good) and 2 of them were really fast as well. Also had a super clutch ending, feel like it's the perfect way to move on.

Werster, a good speedrun to try if you want to do something different is Pokemon Stadium Round 1 Gym Leader Castle mono-Flying. It's actually still quite easy (because you can use Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and there are other good Flying-type rentals like Charizard, Scyther and Dodrio), but you have to use different strategies.

Is it worth it to play through GS again just to make teams to beat this part of the game with? I doubt it, because the level-specific stuff might fuck me over sometimes, but I don't know.

Well are we talking legit or emulator or gameshark? Legit to make a great team for the stadium games only on the gameboy thats not really worth it unless you really have nothing else to play. You could get pokemons and moveset to lv50 only thats not too much. But if we talk level 100 perfect or great iv and ev's then its not worth it at except you gonna transfer them to your new gens. I dont know how to transfer in emulator how that works. With gameshark you can go for it quick and not too tedious.

Question for you pros- So if he loses any one of these matches does he need to restart all the way from round one again for his run to be legit ? For example if I was trying to work on a personal best record myself and then lost a match would have to restart again from very begging of the game?

No, HJK doesn't do that. Maybe you mixed it up with Sky Uppercut?

Nah he could attack itself since High Jump Kick tries to hit a Flying Pokémon but fails.
Some moves like Thunder, Gust, etc could hit flying types tho
