Even with a move slot wasted, Toxic Chansey is still an absolute beast, surprised Werster seems to underestimate her. Chansey(or Blissey) has been OP in basically every generation until she got Thanos snapped in SwSh

Man, this was incredible. I wonder if Gen 2 had an EV system, because it seems odd that, IIRC, your Sandslash (base 65) outsped a Girafarig (Base 85 speed.), a Dewgong (base 70), and seemingly speed tied with a Stantler (Also Base 85.) but it was incredible. I was amused when you thought Lanturn, with its 67 Base speed would outrun Girafarig. Also, I did some research on Gen 2, and there are 3 Pokemon that could have fulfilled Slowbro's role... as far as being able to use Surf, Zap Cannon and being immune to Ground goes: Gyarados (Gen 2, Zap Cannon TM, crazily enough.), Dragonite, and Lugia. Although, I'm doubtful the AI in Ultra Ball Cup would've used a Legendary or a Pseudo-Legendary, and of those 3, only Lugia can learn Psychic. All 3 can use Swagger, though, as SO MANY Pokemon can. I was a little disappointed though that Foretress didn't get to see much use, though, with its Protect, Pin Missile, Rollout, Reflect set. Admittedly, its low speed and lack of especially strong opening attacks and such could've been problems, no doubt. I mean, maybe it could help Chansey, but yeah, still. Not much else it could do, even if you weren't worried about it Exploding as you were here. Oh, also: When you were thinking on whether to send out Lanturn or Sandslash against Kadabra, one of Kadabra's idle animations played, where it played its cry. I'm not sure if you considered this a "speed run" or such as much as a challenge run of sorts, but would you consider it cheating or such to wait for other Pokemon to do an animation where they play their cry like that, to give you another shot at guessing what they are, Werster? In any case, great run, Werster! It was tons of fun to watch!!
sagacious03 As for the EV system question, yes, there was a system similar to the EV system in Gen 1 and 2. But the difference is, you can have all stats maxed out, instead of having only 2.
The pokemon you receive have higher values than your opponents initially and as you progress, their values can match or exceed yours, like saybyou had a sandblast and round 1 guy had a sandblast. Yours would always be better Stat wise but round 8 guy with a sandslash could be better Stat wise than yours
I hope they put the announcer and some stadium like gameplay in the Galar stadium(s), unless those are just one gym, which would suck, but be unsurprising.
@@AgainstRoyalProtocol The sets aren't "actual competitive" sets, although they are definitely usually better than the rentals! The game will give you 2-3 attacking moves, usually 1 STAB (often 2 STAB if you are dual type). But you don't always get STAB moves, if your Pokemon is of an awkward type and doesn't get many STAB moves, for example, Forretress won't always have Pin Missile, Golbat won't always have Wing Attack, but Ponyta will always have a Fire attack. For the remaining move you get either a stat change move, a status/annoyer move, or one of each if you only have 2 attacks. You will never get moves like Recover, Hidden Power, etc. They balance out the attacks. So if you have Lanturn you will never get Surf and Thunderbolt in the same moveset. You will get things like Water Gun/Thunderbolt, Waterfall/Spark, Hydro Pump/Thundershock, etc. The Pokemon themselves are randomised, but they balance your team, you will not ever get more than 2 of the same type. The DVs and Stat EXP are randomised (I'm not sure if it's completely random, they might balance it by always giving your Pokemon some high stats and some low stats), but the values you get are lower in Round 2 than Round 1 (I think). The hold items are randomised, but some are excluded like Leftovers and Berserk Gene. You won't ever get a useless item, so you will never get Light Ball on a Tangela, Magnet on a Pokemon with no Electric attack or PSNCureBerry on a Poison type.

Chuva Rova every time you start challenge cup it gives you a random team of actual competitive sets. Better movesets than the rentals have.
