    Thank you for every time coming back to basics (mixing paint with water, replacing water after metalic etc)

    Excellent instruction. I'm not doing this Legio but it was definitely still worth watching. I'd love to see you do other Legios (Krytos or Oberon)!

    Great guide, i'd love to see you do Mortis and Tempestus armor. The body frame would likely be the same but maybe just paint some armor plates? I only say Tempestus cause they are one of the two legios that get rules in the initial book.

    these videos are therapeutic for me; i haven't painted a model in quite some time. however, the new warlord titan looks super spicy, and this'll help tons if i ever get it.

    Thanks for this video, I have several examples of a paint scheme I like, but your tutorial and the model will represent my first time trying to paint a Titan - thank you - lots of great tips!

    I really like this tutorial! I love the slightly more advanced (or at least non-trivial) steps you dhow that makes the model stand out! such as the shade for grease effect or the gradient of the plates. Very nice!

    this is fantastic. i watched the GW tutorial and found it sorely lacking and i don't understand how they recommend putting the panels on then painting. This video totally makes sense to me and i feel like putting down the money for a Warlord titan might be worthwhile after all.

      Thank you :D. I find that even though it requires a little extra work to rebuild the model once it's been painted it's much easier to paint models disassembled. You're not having to battle to reach into those nooks and crannies.

    Can never understand why the main body section are silver. every thing would rust if its steel, if it was aluminium it would lose it shine and become grey. or is it stainless steel.
    if you paint it in colour then you can have rust coming through or flakes coming of this giving you more options to weather.

    • @hammer1349
      @hammer1349 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suppose it would be made of adamantium and I don't know how that weathers and wears. For my titans personally i used leadbelcher and give it a thinned down coat of black templar contrast paint with agrax earthshade either before or after the contrast depending on how I want things

    Hey wargamer, any ideas on converting Valhallan ice warriors using 3rd party or even better, gw parts?
    I think a good starting point using 3rd party sets would be using the Soviet Winter Infantry from bolt action.
    By the way, f you'd want to make a video about that you will be the first on youtube to do so =D.

    • @PeteTheWargamer
      @PeteTheWargamer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm suspecting that GW will be releasing some House Delaque miniatures for Necromunda at some point which are well known for their great coats. If they get released, expect to see some Valhallan conversions :)

      @machasenau 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      NICE !!

    • @ryan8850
      @ryan8850 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd recommend Victoria Miniatures' Svargan's who were clearly designed as 'not Valhallans'. If you used Bolt Action Soviets, I'd recommend an armswap with a cadian or third party set as I doubt you could fit a lasgun into the smaller soviet arms

  • @B1iztwing

    Did you add a medium to your Necron Compound? All my GW dry paints are quite chalky?

    • @PeteTheWargamer
      @PeteTheWargamer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, it sounds like you might have a bad batch :(

    • @YGOrochi
      @YGOrochi 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They shouldn't be chalky, do you buy your paints online say from eBay or do you buy them from GW. com or in store?
      Buying them online is risky business as there are a lot of knock off or refilled and watered down paints sold cheep online as "official" products (believe me... Sigh...) however, if you bought them in store or from the GW website, then they are a dodgy batch. 👍

    • @happy45rm
      @happy45rm 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine are also all of a similar dry non pourable blob of paint. Your necron compound looked no different to a regular silver paint. Are all you dry paints like that?

    • @PeteTheWargamer
      @PeteTheWargamer  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're a thicker consistency than the regular paints. I think that I might not have shook up my paint enough for that particular shot hence why it looks a little more runny than usual.

    • @duerf5826
      @duerf5826 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even within a same category (ie dry), some GW paints are more aqueous than others. This might also due to how they were stored before being shipped to retailers. For example, despite being all base paint, my Ceramite White and Averland Sunset are notably thicker than Zandri Dust or Baltasar Gold.

    What size is this model, would it work as a proxy 40k Knight?

    • @PeteTheWargamer

      Size wise it's somewhere between an armiger and a knight so I would probably stick to using a knight

    Step 1, sell your Adeptus Titanicus models so you can afford Epic models which people actually use.

      Logic 101: don't invest money in something you don't want to use in the first place.

    • @ChrisDaRed0709
      @ChrisDaRed0709 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Which people are you talking about? The older players that still have their collections from 20 years ago? This is a new entry point, for a new generation. Don’t fight it; be happy other players can enjoy small scale gaming.

    • @mrwri
      @mrwri 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChrisDaRed0709 there are plenty of existing epic 40k/spec games communities who would have welcomed new models. theyre not going to buy new models that are incompatible with the game most people play. making them compatible would have brought those communities and new players together. GW is competing with itself here, those are their own customers. theres a huge market online for epic models, whereas this game will be dead in a few months. the price doesnt help either. you can get the AdTi box in epic models for half the price and it will be a lot easier to find a game with epic players.

    • @mrwri
      @mrwri 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@martynsmith820 I think you're projecting a little bitterness where there is none, I'm just disappointed more than anything, and grossly underestimating the size of the epic 40k community. Our local spec games group is 100+, the local gw barely sees double digit foot traffic. Most spec games communities from what ive seen online seem to operate the same way. In any case you seem very defensive for a product that according to you has no problems. If theres nothing wrong with it and I'm just totally wrong, why bother defending the game at all? Theres an existing community with tournaments, organization, it would have been so easy for GW to sell its new spec games products to those groups, but theyve deliberately designed their product to compete against a product they originally sold. But as I say, if I'm just totally wrong and retarded as you suggest, youd have no reason to reply to this post. Why bother right? Unless you have something to prove, or rather, feel you have to prove me wrong. Thanks for your reply in any case it was enlightening :)

    • @martynsmith820
      @martynsmith820 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the comment about not even starting and buying epic smacks of "bitter vet" syndrome. Times change and GW shifts focus. I had a full resin HH army when it was first released, however I didn't whine and complain about the new plastics because it was a good thing that expanded the player base into the local stores. The justification has already been given that 8mm was chosen to support a potential release of infantry (allowing you to see the different armour marks). I can only imagine how rustled you will be when/if that gets released and supplants the old epic
