Food is life. The amount of time we spend cooking and preparing delicious meals for our loved ones make up a huge part of our daily routine. No matter who's cooking, getting the right equipment for the job can really lighten up this task that we do.
When we moved into this new home a few years back, there was a need to fill the stove space in the kitchen. Among the huge variety of stove tops available in the market, we had to make a choice on using gas, ceramic or induction.
Finally we casted our eyes on the Rangemaster Falcon Kitchener 90 Dual Fuel Black Chrome. It features a really sleek and gorgeous black finish with stainless steel and chrome trims that easily fits into the colour scheme of the existing kitchen.
Thankfully the dimensions supplied on their official site was precise, we had no problem filling the allocated stove gap left by the previous owner. The only thing we had to ensure was the electrical strength of the wall socket and the gas connection which in our case is a 10kg butane gas cylinder.
While there are plenty of configurations you can choose from, this particular model has 5 hotplate burners, a glide out grill, 2 fan ovens and comes with 2 add on attachments which is a wok cradle and a griddle.
The main oven has a handy rack for you to add ingredients quickly anytime during the cooking cycle without the hassle of putting on your oven mitts and taking the cooking tray out etc.
Also , it has a 6 button clock with functions like a minute minder/timer and the automatic main oven program.
The tall fan oven is unfortunately not programmable but it is very useful for baking cakes and desserts. It even has a plate warming rack for you to serve food on warm plates like a top chef.
The best thing I appreciate most is how the enamel stove top enables you to clean it really easily with warm soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth. I love also how everything can be removed without any tool for cleaning.
While this beautiful Kitchener 90 has ergonomic design, it has also some minor areas to improve which I highlighted in the video. A sleek piano black stove does a great job hiding the dirtiness however if you're a little rough, scratches and dents can be very obvious.
If you're in the market with a budget for a kitchen centrepiece that is timeless and easy to maintain, the Kitchener 90 is one to consider.
