Thank you for posting this video. I used a Viking Range for 10 years and purchased the RG36 for my new home kitchen reno. I have been stressing about the flames being too high for months... had no idea you could adjust the flames. I had read in some reviews that the flame levels on this range were not ideal but thought I'd live with it. I'll be sending in a request for the screwdriver.
Here is an important update!! For all of you who have this model of range, but don't have holes in your burner stems to allow the use of the little screwdriver -- you can adjust the flame by this method: After you have pulled the main knob off, then remove the LOWER BLACK SCREW, just underneath the brass burner stem. This screw has a star shaped head -- so you will need that shape screwdriver or drill bit. Once that lower black screw is off, place the little screwdriver in the same hole where the screw was and you can find a connection to the gauge that regulates the height of the flame. When you feel the connection you will know it, and then just lower it as much as you can without letting the flame go out. That will be the LOW SETTING for your burner. Then replace the black screw and the knob. Repeat for all your burners!! I was ready to return the whole stove -- as I couldn't reach anyone from Customer Service on a Saturday -- another thing Zline should be ashamed of! But thanks to a post on this thread -- I found the solution from the comments of other frustrated consumers!! A stove that costs about $3000 -- and you can't adjust the flame of the burners!!! Zline -- you can do better than this!

If you contact Zline they will send you the screwdriver you need promptly and for free! If you want to try it on your own, it is a small flathead screwdriver. I have one for eyeglasses I thought might work but stem was not long enough. Ordered a set from Amazon labeled flame adjustment screwdrivers and they were too thick to fit the hole. Love my stove, but always complained my burners did not go down low enough. Now that I have adjusted I can simmer to my hearts delight!

Couple problem with this stove is first takes forever to heat up the oven the second issue is when it's heated and ready you there's no noise to let you know that is ready it's just a lamp that goes off but you have to keep your eye on its all the time!

It would have been so much more convenient for Z-Line to have included this with the package, instead of the propane kit that I'm sure is an option for just a few. My problem was the opposite that on high the flames weren’t high enough. Mine all just seemed low between high and low. Hoping this will help fine tune the spread of high and low

@@darriusthomas6032 yes! I called them and i was asked to remove the screws and then to insert the little screwdriver 🪛 that the stove came with. But, just to mention i never actually did it. As the low setting has been great. So you should call them for a better explanation.
For those people looking for an answer: Remove the screw under the center piece that should have the hole in it. The adjustment is in there; it is slightly to the right.

For all of you wondering -- how can they sell a stove that has a video showing how to adjust the burner flame -- but the details of the burner knobs shown are not the same as your model???? Apparently the RG36 full size range with an oven (not just a cooktop) does not have burner stems that have a hole in them to allow you to use the little screwdriver to adjust the flame. April figured out that once you've taken the knob off (that is easy) then you have to remove the plate which is held on by two black screws. Actually you don't even have to remove the whole plate! Just remove the one LOWER black screw underneath that stem piece. Then insert the screwdriver in that same screw hole and search for the connection that will adjust the flame. Once we did this we were able to adjust all the 6 burners in 15 minutes. But without this knowledge -- I was ready to send the whole oven back!! Zline --- shame on you for having this problem documented on this thread for upwards of 3 years -- and yet you haven't fixed this problem in the merchandise that you continue to sell!! For a lot of money! How hard would it be to make this change and put a small hole in your burner stems? I'm going to post another comment elsewhere here to try and help people who were where I was yesterday -- spending the whole day trying to solve a problem that never should have existed!

ACE sells a slotted precision screwdriver 1/16" x 2 1/2". Item #2167013. This fit my RA48 zline snug but works great.

@@aprilmccarthy8134 -- thank you so much!! Yours is the post that solved the problem!! For all of you wondering -- how can they sell a stove that has a video showing how to adjust the burner flame -- but the details of the burner knobs shown are not the same as your model???? Apparently the RG36 full size range with an oven (not just a cooktop) does not have burner stems that have a hole in them to allow you to use the little screwdriver to adjust the flame. April figured out that once you've taken the knob off (that is easy) then you have to remove the plate which is held on by two black screws. Actually you don't even have to remove the whole plate! Just remove the one LOWER black screw underneath that stem piece. Then insert the screwdriver in that same screw hole and search for the connection that will adjust the flame. Once we did this we were able to adjust all the 6 burners in 15 minutes. But without this knowledge -- I was ready to send the whole oven back!! Zline --- shame on you for having this problem documented on this thread for upwards of 3 years -- and yet you haven't fixed this problem in the merchandise that you continue to sell!! For a lot of money! How hard would it be to make this change and put a small hole in your burner stems? I'm going to post another comment elsewhere here to try and help people who were where I was yesterday -- spending the whole day trying to solve a problem that never should have existed!

How do I adjust my rg36?

@@ZLINEKitchen The RT36 is a rangetop. The RG36 is full gas range w/ oven. RG36 model doesn't have the hole in the center of the peg.
