I’ve used them in genesis escort missions and they are INSANE on some of them. They’re pretty good for most missions on gen 1 in general
These things are insane in Orbital Supply Drops on Extinction. And on Genesis Part 2 for the Hunt missions. Except the Ferox Cull does require special care. You need to hop off any Carcharodontosaurus you are riding so you don't get dismount killed by the Ferox slam ability.
The game code for the saddle drops that gets added to the GameUserSettings.ini by the update puts a lot of Carcharo saddles and prints in the red drops on the Skylord Cave of Fjordur. Otherwise, best of luck at finding a saddle.
Sucks that they decided to make them not spawn there naturally, they had a chance and decided to make it so you need to transfer them in

Tips for easy tame on pve. 1 giant metal behemoth gat. Several regular metal dino gates on one side of the behemoth gate so you can Trap carch. After you've trapped it stand on other side of gate so carch cant see you, kill your sacrifice tame(high level tek rexes work well and only take one) drag body and open gate, wait for carch to free itself and if it runs off, follow it with dead body. When you get into friend mode try and at least get 20% tamed before trapping it again so you only have to do that 5 times
There is a trick where if u right click just after left click you will bite them but make them fly back. great if you get surrounded, its like a quick tail whip.

I bought one before
I use a mod to speed up my mutations, and I've maxed out Carcha's melee. And I'll tell you, it's glorious. I solo'd a purple drop with that thing. You barely need to touch its health because it heals so fast. It just doesn't get hurt unless you /let/ five enraged rexes chew on you, and it'll still just tear through them, everything else, and still be healed in mere minutes.
Just found out by running the tek cave the carc can actually replace the gigas in there
And also carch can go in tek cave .They are really op there.
Its just their health thata a bit off putting
But does the healing work that well?
Havent really tried them out for their health being really low compared to my other creatures

They can be level 600+ unlike the giga too but the.l car only spawns at the end of the cave on alpha
I heard the diplos are the best tame food for them with heath points added but that works
Can’t wait to see what damage they deal when you have mutated the melee stat to the maximum and it has like the 100% buff from killing dinos.I know you are gonna do that for sure because during the last couple years I need that no grind in this game is to much for you even though it’s gonna take a bunch of time.
Also please do all the other cool things with them like killing titanosaurs, Gigas, Titans etc.

Oh btw if you press C to roar you loose all the stacks you have collected in exchange for a speed boost to all dinos and players nearby for a short duration (duration is inceased the more stacks you have). this is both a tip and a warning because you sure gain buffs for your dinos but you do lose ALL stacks.

Really glad you address people's comments about roaring to drop the blood lust count down. I had seen those comments as well and wasn't sure if it worked or not. Thanks for confirming that it does not work with the wild one!
Amazing video bro, i love all your content. By the way, i think they tested it and actually a fully buffed/ferenzied charca should be able to do up to 50% more dmg than a same stat giga!

The best things to use for PVE are diplos. You can get a bunch of wild ones in a pen pretty easily, they have a ton of health, and importantly, can deal no damage, unless they push you off a cliff and you take fall damage, which does still count.

The only thing that matters for stage 1 is the drag weight. Yutys and Rexes, no matter the level or stats will always fill to full because they are over 550 drag weight. Wyverns are just under that so you need 2 to fill the friendly bar. However, yea the health matters for stage 2
Maybe low level brontos could do a better job.

FUN FACT: Biting down trees is super effective when leveling tames for quite a few levels
I play on a server that has some kind of inverted xp system (the first level takes the longest and the last 10-20 typically arrive all at once), and I have found trees are the fastest (AND SAFEST!) way to get a few levels under a tame's belt to avoid combat right out of the gate.
i think that the fact that only one died in 11 rounds is pretty amazing because they only had mutations and no level ups from battling yet, keep up the amazing work Syntac!
I love coming back to old videos and seeing how bad the strategies were before learning the right ways to tame these things

did a purple osd to wave 25 today on pve. sat on one carch, had three more on a dinoleash and they didnt loose more than 5k health. in pve corrupted dinos cant destroy metal so just surrounding the drop with spikes works really well :) got a nice mek blueprint and crafting skill potioned it. the ark gods must have been watching me because i got a juicy 67.7 % on that one. 35.k health and 320 % damage :) this is very nice

If he does not eat, try leaving the corps next to him, and go out of render. He will eat it, and be ready to ride when you get back to him. If you need more corpses to get him rideable, just leave more corpses 👌😁

OSD farming was the first thing I though of when I saw what carchas can do, enemies have high hp, carchas can regen during and in between waves a lot, its just perfect. Got a 300%(56 points) carcha on my solo play and I can't wait to mutate and try OSD's with it, it was the second one I tamed, but so far I got just 2 high lvl males so its gonna take a while to get a high lvl female.
Just tame a low level female, and then clone her for breeders, if you have a cloner. You are unlikely to find a better melee stat, and the other stats do not matter much anyways for carchars.
What are your ark settings? How you get high level dinos like that?

Finally caught up found you randomly a few months back took forever to catch up to this series, you will not believe the binge.
You might be able to use the s+ gun off the back on pve to kill your own creatures, it works for killing tames for exp so perhaps the Carc as well. Not tested myself because i just mutate like mad but a possibility in the air for any other modded pve players
I tried that but i couldnt kill my tames, tried claimed and unclaimed, BUT i was trying to kill baby gigas that are quite small so im gona try fully grown gigas…

I never see anyone mention this. If you run out of time. And regain the trust the efficiency resets to 100%. Get your catch to 99 percent run out of time intentionally, then regain trust and your taming bar will stay at 99 and efficiency will be at 100. Then you’ll have 100% perf tame carch
The starving carchar at 29:25 was due to it using up all its food to heal. Passive healing drains food, and since they’re constantly regenerating their health crazy fast (at max rage I want to say it’s something ridiculous like 1k health a minute) their food plummets like a daedon when they heal. Basically, they’re healing faster than they can eat!
Might be a good idea to do food mutations on the things so they can heal for longer.

If you looking for saddle Fjordur is the place where you should go. The wolf twins drop quite a lot! I already got an ascendant saddle.

A good managarmr is great for OSD’s and Element veins only problem is it’s crap, and i mean it spends half its time taking craps where you can’t attack and it can get stun locked, also you need to be careful you don’t shoot out of rage and lose the drop, but apart from that it’s definitely recommended

Syntac you are very good TH-camr and me and my friend talk about your videos and you are a good TH-camr and I loved your raft video and your ark content
So when I tamed my Carch's I used rex eggs and an air con and tek generator(you need s+ with the ground placement enabled) I used a corpse from a random creature got the tek gen powered and placed 2 air cons down, mounted the carch, I threw down between 10 and 20 eggs(my taming rates are 6x, I know it's stupid high but I am on difficulty 12 and my rexes are about lvl 600 fresh from the egg) I killed the babies as they hatched and the Carch kicked me off from frenzy mode but it tamed as it kicked me off.
I now have an army of Carch's that at Max level with full frenzy do 20k damage!
Those with access to mods can use immersive taming on Carcha.

I managed to beat a pink OSD with 8 Unmutated carchas, 50 points in melee. I *am* using the safe OSD and Element vein mod, but I think the fact that I got to round 8 without even losing a carcha first try is a testament to how crazy overpowered they are for them.
For the purple OSD the maximal loot (more waves wont give you more loot) is 14 so if you do 100 you get the same loot that you would get if you do only 14.
Killing a wyvern gives 20 frenzy a bronto is only 3 you could kill 33 bronto without capping frenzy. Allowing you to tame without dropping friendship at all.
