We had our only child in a cabin in the woods (1970's hippie types back then). As my wife was being cleaned up, I gave our daughter a leboyer bath. I filled a full tub half full of womb temperature water and floated her around in it with my hand under her head. She cooed and looked around... It was the greatest bonding time and to this day we're as close as can be. Maybe give it a thought. One thing... hospitals butcher these baths by using a tiny thing of water. You need a full bathtub or it won't work. Best. The old guy in Oregon.

My mom would say a parable that goes ‘eyes are the laziest parts of the body as to see a task too overwhelming but are hands aren’t, and are quick! I’m so glad they have Christian hypnobirthing. I’v never heard of it here in Australia. I’m sure they have it though. Regular hypnobirthing involves new age stuff, affirmations, breathwork and getting yourself into a relaxed meditative state. It’s one of those things where I feel Christian’s could get involved in without realising

My youngest is 11 months now and ive had all 3 of my kids unmedicated in the hospital but my first birth i feel like was my best since i didnt know what to expect. With my second and third since i knew what to expect and what was coming it definitely gave me more anxiety for theirs. Everyone is SO different and i always hear people say theyre excited for their second since they know what to expect but i never felt like that. Prayers for a safe and easier delivery for your sweet baby boy 💙

I took gentle birth at 35 weeks with both babies and I didn’t give birth until 39+ but it did amazing things!

Good luck with your second birth, how exciting! Just a little heads up, in Germany, our midwives do no longer recommend drinking rasperry leaf tea as a new study has shown that the risks for bleeding post partum increases and my midwife told me that the vaginal tissue sometimes gets TOO soft when women drink a lot of this tea so that stiches after tearing do not hold well together.

Any mama here that’s trying to learn more about pregnancy and birth I would definitely recommend” mama naturals” birth course. There’s other ones out there but that’s the one I did and I had such a wonderful natural 1st birth experience. It was worth every penny ,coming from someone that’s a baby when it comes to pain. It helped me stay calm the whole time and even take naps in between contractions.🙌🏼

I cannot believe how time has flown by with pregnancy# 2! Have you done some baby yoga during this pregnancy? I have heard it works wonders when preparing for birth, especially helping with the pelvic ligaments and the hip joints. I'm excited for y'all! ❤

Not that you asked lol but I named my firstborn boy Yonah which is the Hebrew version of Jonah and the Hebrew word itself literally means „dove“. His middle name is Shalom. I really felt to give him a name meaning „peace“ when I was pregnant with him and I still love his name so much 😊
I love the name Tobias/ Toby (God is good) and middle name Ebenezer (stone of help) but don’t feel called to have more children 😂😢
