Absolute BS. Effort generally hasn't been an issue this season. The players have largely tried their best to play an unworkable system. Appalling tactics (and signings) from this bald imbecile combined with a horrific injury record are what's done for it. Even tonight's shambles wasn't caused by the players "downing tools". Casemiro dived in like a complete idiot in the build-up to the first goal, 36 year old Jonny Evans just coming back from injury got beasted by one of the most physical strikers in the league for the second, etc. Nothing to do with a lack of effort.

Erik top hat is arrogant and has been since he came to MU. He didn't even have the decency to meet with Ralf Rangnick before the club let him go and then they didn't even keep him on as sporting director. ETH was basically given an open cheque book and here is where we are 2 years later... RR came in as interim manager and was pretty much given zero support (except for the fans!) and was called a shite manager! Beyond ridiculous! If he was kept on and been able to recruit the players he wanted, and worked with the team with an actual plan, MU would be contending at the very least for the Champions league right now. Crystal Palace looked great and made MU look like a bunch of schoolboys today. No excuses.

If players aren't following the script, maybe there is no script (tactics). A manager should be able to draw out his tactics from his players. But Hag failing to do this whole season, is shocking. Every team got injuries, every team got good players and medicore players. The managers job is to bring his idea on the pitch.

They don't respect or trust the Manager enough to follow his instructions.
They do not understand the instructions or have not been trained well enough to follow them.
The opposition team blows the plan out of the water from kick-off and the players never get a chance to follow the initial script. Which means the plan wasn't good enough to start with.
Either way, it's on the Manager.

Interestingly enough, when Mr Hag speaks after a loss it is always the players fault. Soccer is supposed to be a fun game for everyone involved even at the highest level. I'm very disappointed 😞! Cassemiro was struggling with that position. At least 3 of the 4 goals he was directly involved in, but ETH continued to play him in the same position. On the positive side, we have seen worse.
Who should he have put there? Amrabat? At least fans can now see how crucial Bruno is to this team. We literally had no bench and you cannot put all that on kids plus our u21 defenders are not good at all.

Did you see how quickly Ten Hag left his chair at the end of the interview by the press. The man is not long for this job. Of that I am sure. We have the cup final to look forward to PERIOD!! How have we got to this point. My answer:is :-the team needs to offload quite a few players/ to be sold this summer. Youth is the way forward from now on. Our under 14s and under 18s have done us proud winning their respective leagues this season. More academy players need to be given a chance in the first team from now on, and scouts need to do better in assessing potential players to be chosen to be bought from now on.
