      Dude, didn't say it wasn't. This is not me saying the UGA RB room is bad or weak. I'm just saying relative to every other position on the team it is the weakest. What position unit would you rank it over right now?

      @@gloryuga hahaha well, that isn't much of a problem:) I'd have to say the the DBs may be the most untested...

    • @gloryuga

      @@batmandeltaforceuntested, maybe, but we also have a returning first-team All-American at safety and project to potentially have 4-5 former 5-star players starting in the secondary. RB room doesn’t have close to that top-level talent and is no more experienced. With the unknowns with Branson’s injury, outside of Etienne, no fully healthy player has more than 24 career carries.

      I very much agree! When I ranked out the position units on the podcast, in no way did I go into thinking I would end up ranking the RB room last, but that's just how it shook out. As I said in the video, 90+% of programs would kill for our RB room, but when stacked up against our loaded roster at virtually every other position, with the inexperience and youth in the RB room right now, I'm just not sure what position unit you would rank it ahead of this season. But it's still a very talented unit!

      @@robertbennett9081 weak is not an adjective that describes the UGA team at any position. I think if there is any questions on RBs maybe depth due to injury. But regardless of who gets the totes, they will be running behind some talented Monsters on the O' line that will be a huge advantage.

    Branson Robinson is the "Little Hulk". The order of precedence in the RB room will be Branson Robinson, Etienne, Broderick Robinson in the red area.

      I would agree, assuming Branson is healthy. However, that is a big assumption right now. It seems as though he is trending in the right direction, but still very much an unknown right now.

    I'm still thinking it'll be the dline. I know we return Stack and Brinson but I just don't think they're true impact players. Jordan Hall has the potential to be but with his injury who knows how long he'll be out. Haven't heard any buzz from Jarrett or any of the other going guys at that position. An impact player from the portal would've been clutch.

      Brinson going to eat this year watch and see

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's fair. I think you can make an argument for the DL, but I still count Mykel Williams as a DL because he is very much still going to be playing a good bit of DE. When you have a future first round pick and probable top-10 pick in that unit, it's really tough for me to put the RB unit ahead of it. It's a good unit, it just doesn't have that kind of pop at the top.
      I also think Christen Miller is about to breakout this year on the DL. I agree with you that we know what Naz and Brinson are. Good, but not elite. It's the young guys on the DL that have the highest ceilings. Miller, Hall, Jarrett, and McCleod all have the potential to be DUDES and I believe more than one of them will take that step this year.

    I think etienne and Roderick will get majority of the Carries, but I think Branson will get a load too if he’s healthy. I’d expect maybe 800-1000 yards out of etienne and 650-700 from Roderick and somewhere from 500-700 if Branson stays healthy. I agree the running back room isn’t in a bad spot, it’s just there’s been a lot of turnover from years past and a lot of unknowns from outside etienne.

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would encourage you to watch the video before flaming away. Tell me, what other unit on the team would you have this RB unit ahead of? It's a very talented unit, but there is A LOT of projection involved with it right now. The only truly known commodity is Etienne, and he's awesome. I THINK Rod Robinson will have a really good year and I THINK Nate Frazier is going to be a star eventually, but we don't know that right now. It's a really strong unit, but it's also likely our weakest unit coming into the season. Both things can be true.

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's some really wishful thinking regarding Branson Robinson. I sincerely hope he is ready to be that type of impact player early in the season, but that is a MAJOR question mark. If he is ready, that is great for Georgia and that is really all I care about. I just want what's best for the Dawgs. I like Rod, too. However, I think you are very much underselling Trevor Etienne. This guy was the #1 option all spring long and is BY FAR the most experienced back on the team. We will see what happens in fall camp. You might be right, and that would be great b/c that would mean that I am WAY off and we would have maybe the best RB unit in the country.

      @@chewbaka1496I would absolutely love for that to end up being true, but right now we have one healthy scholarship player with any experience to speak of. Etienne is awesome and I THINK Rod will have a big year and Frazier will turn into a star eventually, but we haven’t seen that yet. As I said in the video, if Branson is healthy, all bets are off and this unit will be much higher in my middseason position rankings.
      Also, look, I love the Dawgs, but Penn State and Ohio State have insane talent at RB and WVU and UCF have a lot more experience and production returning than we do.
