Its better to first remove the shell, the vein and guts. Then wash the flesh in a basin of water, its faster and safer this way
Hi Xeronim, thank you for the comment 😄 Yes, the shells, veins and guts can be removed first before washing the prawns. I usually wash the prawns twice before cooking, once to remove dirt and debris from the market, and the second time after removing the shells, veins, guts and head (depending on the meal on the day).
