- Unlocking VW Cars. If you have forgot your Polo or Vento key inside the car then you can open it using a long hard wire. This video shows the technique to open Volkswagen Car without any key.

Locked keys in the car. Called locksmith and they gave me a ridiculous quote. Ran to nearby house and asked for a wire coat hanger the window was slightly lowered my mother who I was will helped to open is so I could put the coat hanger in and we managed to open it. Thank you

If you close a vw with the key, you won't be able to open it like this because the lock is designed NOT to open from inside. You can do it like this only if you closed the car from inside by the button. At least this is how my golf works.
Yes, You are right Skoda/VW cars has dead lock mechanism. The video shown here is also correct as VW Polo and Vento (Polo Sedan) sold in India are without this mechanism. You can always confirm this in advance by sitting in your car and asking someone to lock the car from outside (by remote or key) and then try to open it manually. If you are successful then you can use this trick when needed.
There are also 2 buttons (unlock, lock) next to the door hendle, wasn't it easier just to press the unlock button?

Flip Keys No it wont... I had to brake the glass of my 2008 VW Passat because locked the car with the key and left it on the trunk. I know this, because when the glass was broken I pressed that button but that didnt work at all. Had to jump to the back seat of the car, pull the seats down to acess the trunk and get my hands on the key.
I'm sure that VW must have a way of doing it without breaking the glass, but still dont know it.

Fake. Once you lock the car using remote key, all the handles and buttons will be disabled. So pulling the handle will not open the door.
Very true, but not in all VAG cars, this video was made on my car and I can confirm that there are few car models Atleast in India which doesn't have the feature you mentioned

All VAG models are equipped with supercondnation. if the vehicle is locked, it is impossible to unlock it by pulling the interior handle.

I literally struggled to get the car unlocked. Earlier I used a thin wire. That didn't work. Used thick wire as you shown. I was able to unlock. Honda city Indian 2018 model.

Always Welcome. You can open new Volkswagen Polo and new Volkswagen Vento with this technique. I even found that this technique is equally good for new Skoda Fabia and Skoda Rapid incase key is forgot inside the car and needs to be unlocked....
@mkdpeter Yes you are absolutely right. Cars which are dead locked can be opened using Lishi or other similar tool. New Polo and Vento sold in India can be unlocked using this technique

@mkdpeter You may always confirm in advance whether this technique is applicable on your Volkswagen car by sitting in car, locking it with remote or by key (asking someone standing outside to do it for you) and trying to unlock manually sitting inside. If confirmed then you may use this technique in crisis.
You can also try this technique on New Skoda Fabia and Rapid. They can also be unlocked with this technique

Volkswagen come with a safety feature that the car cant not be opened from inside once locked. If you have this disabled then, yes this might work but by default you cant open it from inside. The only option is to get the duplicate keys !!

First thing the car does not get lock on its own if you doit on purpose and use this y didnt he just press te unlock button on inside door handle by that string rather than pulling latch
Sometimes key gets locked inside boot

this is true every car can be opened from the inside nomatter how you lock it, it's the law, they are that way so people can't be locked in your car, I'm a locksmith and that's basics 101 every car can be opened from the inside.

Tyler Bruntzel nope thats not true. Volkswagen is inpossible to open from inside if the car is locked, i know this because i work here at the factory in Wolfsburg, and i own multiple volkswagens.

Actually, My skoda Laura keys were inside and i forgot,Locked. Then after toiling for unlocking alot i tired up. Then i watch this video and it literally saved me overall it took around 10-15 minutes of patience but results were very favourable. Thank my man! I can confirm that this does work. Locked my keys inside the car(2014 Polo Vivo Maxx) today and managed to get the door open exactly like you said. It seems these cars have a feature that allows someone to open the door from the inside using the handle. You will notice, if you get inside your car and lock it using the remote, you will be able to open the door with the handle by pulling it twice. Pulling it the first time unlocks the door, the second time it will open. For those wanting to try this, make sure you pull the handle with the wire all the way, then let it go, then try open the door from the outside.

I had the most insane day today, gave my vento a beautiful wash and did some detailing. Wanted to go out and my practice is to start the car, close the door, open the gates, the idling gives my engine enough time to warm up. Lo and behold, did the same routine, I come back to my car after opening the gates, the doors locked from inside with windows up and engine running. I was freaking out, could not find my second key, and ended up on TH-cam for answers. I end up here and did a different variation of your routine and I was able to unlock the car. Thanks brother.!!!
I do exactly the same thing. Start the car, open the gates and then get into the car. Today while I was opening gate, I heard a sudden increase in rpm automatically. No idea why. This probably made the speed above 15 km/h and locked the car. I was pretty sure there was no way other than to break the glass but then this video saved my day. Got some scratches but that’s totally fine. I still wonder how the acceleration went up automatically.
