Lynchs small speech at the beginning was wholesome & I completely agree. The funnest part of magic for me is all my friends coming together to play games, doesn't matter who wins but we always have fun and that's what matters
I do agree, however it's kind of an oxymoron, "we are just trying to have fun" the title of the show I hate your deck XD
I agree for me Magic has nothing to do with winning. Even if you have the best deck and never loose it means nothing if you arent having fun and making friends and memories along the way. Magic is about making friends and memory.
@@conataur There are lots of decks I hate, but for me it's one thing to hate a deck and another to be a salty d-bag. We can hate a deck but have a ton of fun playing against it!
thats the great thng about commander, even if one deck goes crazy, the other players will keep him under control and if they cant, well he deserves to win. When i play magic i just wanna see crazy interactions happen, im the happiest when theres like 10 cards in the stack, sure i wanna win but its never the main objective.
I agree to a point. Some decks are toxic like infinite mindslaver or any other complete lock downs. Honestly the I go off I don't win but u don't play magic anymore is bull****

Bearstorm is a funny cedh deck and I also enjoy a more casual bear deck like his.

@@kylestewartpt I did a land from dominaria cause it had a bear in the background. Funniest moment with the deck is when I kept fight one players feather and I said ayula demands chicken

Watching IHYD feels the most like sitting down for a game of commander with my friends out of all the channels I’ve watched, so I’m always stocked when I see a new upload
What I love about this show is that they're starting to codify the parts of the Rule 0 conversation: fast mana, free spells, infinite combos, tuning, and so on. This is much better than the RC's wishy-washy guidance because it means we can actually have real conversation about deck power.
Agreed, because subjective power level estimates can lead to pretty terrible expectations. Mana, free spells, combos, and tutors and average turn to win are much better indicators.
Its crazy cause i was salty cause i been losing lately, but the intro helped me realize that i need to learn to enjoy PLAYING and using my losses to learn how to better understand my deck. Appreciate the kind words and thank you.
This show isn't I hate your deck anymore. I like this show and it is a great show but no one hates these decks. It's just fun, humble magic for the past month or so. Let's see some crazy decks again

I disagree on your take. There are many channels that play crazy powerful decks. I thoroughly enjoy how how they run the show, it really feels like everyone on the show is having fun and playing what they want to play. It’s not purely casual and not purely powerful decks. It feels like going to my LGS and playing with people who enjoy high power and then shuffling up and going to a low power/jack table
I've been in dire need of some new IHYD content. Excited to watch - really enjoyed how everyone laid their commander choices on the playmats during the rule 0 conversation. Keep up the greatness ! :)

Mono whites deck only weakness is lack of ramp, and lynch gave her a chance to tutor for a basic land for 8 turns 😅😅
Loved this episode. Ayle, Skyler, and Rafael are all great to watch.
Kemba vet here and she is my pet deck. So happy to see her freak out today. I cut jazal goldmane due to mana restrictions but if you can activate the turn it comes out then it is the best card in the game.

Good mission statement. The most fun I've had in magic recently was the dumbest game. Sasaya, Orochi ascendant. 7 lands in opening hand. First 7 draws are all lands. Just sitting there with 49 mana, and the first spell i play gets all of my lands into hand.

One of my very 1st Commander decks I ever built was Kemba. So surprised and excited to see this pop up on the show.
This episode was awesome. Everyone had a great time, cool and fun decks that each got to do a lil sumn special. Great gameplay and people as always!

Lynch, really wanted to thank you for finally understand the rule 0 conversation in depth! In our playgroup we almost everytime went like „is everyone okay with playing this and that“ without checking how powerful those decks were.

The Jitae can only buff the creature it’s equipped to so Aulya could have fought the guy that was giving artifacts hexproof and killed him.

first part reads EQUIPED creature gets +2/+2, not target creature like the second part.

Im all about positivity but that irked me too. Felt like she was crushing noobs with an overpowered deck powered by cheating - the decks were already imbalanced enough that she would have easily won without that "misplay". fast forwarded through the rest of the game after that. By the way she also missed a jitte trigger early on =\

Yep yep I watch ed pre luanch. I mentioned that I fucked that up. But after watching i noticed it didn't matter. But thank you. I'm dyslexic as fuck so I will read the cards a 5th time.
The Emeria land Skyler played turn 1 should have probably given him at least two creatures back from the grave. It's such a good land I have it in both of my mono whites so those forgotten triggers are sad

Emeria shouldn't trigger as Skylar at no point controls 7 plains, if I didn't miscount
He never had 7 plains. I was watching. How ever the day night cycle might have missed. It never really came into effect

well... ayle was very honest about that deck. pretty slow start but if you let it snowball it's goes hard. wish we coulda seen jetmir do more!!! good game though
if he did swing in with the bear commander, lyra would have first strike and life link meaning it would get +2/+2 and survive the attack. Im pretty sure the bear would have too since first strike does damage on the first strike phase and does non on the regular combat phase
Yeah, I am going to echo other comments here. The rule 0 conversation was on point! I wish every match started like that. Makes the game so much more enjoyable. Also at least for me being the viewer, it was cool to just see the process. Thanks everyone, good stuff!
Ayle is a crazy good deckbuilder. Never seen her play a deck where I felt like there were cards in the deck that were off. Super impressive!
We always have a point where the player who said "my deck is just a precon, not that good" makes a really good play or combo, we all yell
"But you said is wasn't THAT good!"
In my experience it's someone that put top cards from edhrec that didn't realize they are there because they are a combo and have to be told how to combo.
when you see some banger ass equips like Jitte, you know it's gonna be a long game.

Should send this to my friend just for the starting talk. He gets so angry and salty when he loses. The best part is he proxies the power nines and everything else. I'm pretty sure his main deck is 80% to 90% proxies. Side note it's fun to see bear force 1 being used

@@justinorman8608 there are so many cards for flavor that are also just really good, coastal piracy, treasure map, dockside, ragavan, treasure cruise, and just a ton of others. It's my favorite of any decks ive played or played against because i just love pirates
At 18:10 you were supposed to night bound your creature since she didnt cast any spells her turn, she only quipped her creature after she had casted it the turn before

Ayula fighting an Angel, Toski attacking one. Indestructible might stop the squirrel from dying, but it never prevented the damage dealt!
Regarding Legion Angel, there is actually a ruling for that: "903.11. If a player is allowed to bring a card from outside the game into a Commander game, that player can’t bring a card into the game this way if it has the same name as a card that player had in their starting deck, if it has the same name as a card that the player has already brought into the game, or if any color in its color identity isn’t in the color identity of the player’s commander." So you're legit 'not allowed' to run the extra copies of Legion Angel in any official setting. Thankfully, this is just a friendly game of EDH with a pod of friends, so official rulings don't matter.

I did not hate any of those decks. They all seemed quite powerfull but none of the went ballistic on turn one or two. Everyone got to play and show what their deck does. That's Magic to me.

Love it, I do wish the decks were more "evil" though. Would be fun if at least every game someone says "I hate your deck". Most other channels also feature pretty tame decks.

The cowboy holsters with hot sauce were definitely the spiciest moment of that game , although bear jokes were on point. Kinda funny how nobody realised the threat of mono-white deck until it was too late, also that Eldrazi Monument living for so long makes me question the removal assessment.
No one could target the Eldrazi monument. There was a cat on the field that gave all of Ayle's artifacts hexproof.
That Ayula deck...someone has watched LoadingReadyRun on Game Knights. 😉

Pretty sure when Lynch played his Akroma's Will, they didn't count the lifelinked doublestrike damage he only gained 19. Unless I missed something. Overall It didn't end up mattering, but it was a missed chance at more life.

jitte can only boost equipped creature so the creature that gives artifact hexproof would have died, and anytime equipped creature would do damage gains counters which wasn't put on I think at least one time
Yep thats my fault. Jitte is a new card to me. To use. So I didn't read it the minimum 5 times. I dyslexic as hell so I read cards so many times and still mess it up. Thank you though.
