If you are currently on a dungeon and get the Initiative, you go to the next room in that dungeon. You can't enter The Undercity while in another dungeon.
The distinction on enter the battlefield effects is one I see Elesh Norn players misunderstand all the time. Key words you need to look for are "when" or "whenever" X thing enters the battlefield, those count. As opposed to "as this enters" or "enters with" those do not count as triggers.
If I'm not mistaken at 33:16 when Lynch plays Sarevok's Tome and as a result takes the Initiative, he should have continued at the Tomb of Annihilation due to the fact that He was already in there. Cool Episode and great Decks

for mono black from specifically this set, i would had done Karumonix, the Rat King as my commander as it's the only one that does something relevant and you might be interested to keep around as a deck where the other options are either best in the 99 or there's literally just something else that exists that's better.
I know it could be different per play group, but I feel like saying or implying you won't block and then immediately blocking could maybe affect your invitation for a future game 🤔🤷♂
Just FYI "Venture into the dungeon" and "take the initiative" both just progress you forward in whatever dungeon you're in, so when you're already in the tomb of annihilation and get saervek's tome out you just go further in the tomb, you don't enter the undercity. It's tripped me up a bunch before because I agree it's not super intuitive, especially since if you lose the initiative the opponent who takes it from you goes into the undercity even if you're not in the undercity. Great game!
It's 3 am and magic is hard. You can't actually be in more than one dungeon at a time, even if you take the initiative after venturing into a dungeon. So if you're already in a dungeon and you gain the initiative, you actually go just to the next room of that dungeon. Reading the card only sometimes explains the card. At 43:23, Roper shouldn't have lost life for Reanimating the Platinum Emperion. Since the enter and life loss are separated by a "full stop" or "period". Which is why if you Reanimate Vilis, Broker of Blood, he enters and then sees the life loss, causing you to draw 8. Platinum is on the field, so no life loss can occur.

Sky's deck shows how once it gets going, that deck can't be stop unless someone plays Vandalblast or Cyclonic Rift. Putting affinity on a commander that powerful which in turn allows you to you to play more artifacts is just broken.
Just a heads up, when Sarevok's tomb ETB take the initiative, Mike was already in a dungeon, so you would have just moved forward in that dungeon instead of going into the undercity.
I'm pretty sure you cannot both be in the undercity and a dungeon. If you've started either then both iniative and venture continue the one you've started.
Reanimating platinum emperion does not cause life loss. The actions of reanimate are performed in the order they are printed so once the life loss from reanimate would happen emperion is already in play.
Reanimate says put a creature into play. Then lose life. But due to the platinum emperium in play roper should not have lost life since that is not possible anymore.
