- This Ford Crown Victoria was built by Naperville Automotive Solutions and includes an ADTR supercharger kit, Stainless Works headers and exhaust, and a Ford Racing 3.73 limited slip differential. Car is also equipped with a 3K RPM stall converter and is a great sleeper as it looks totally stock. On a Dynojet dyno the car made 380HP and 360 torque. Not shabby with only 8 lbs boost. @@eriv4735 From what I see online, they are known for being the first thing to go on these cars. Obviously depends on how you drive though as well and if you jmod them. I'm debating whether or not to put a higher stall and jmod mine right now. But stalls are expensive af to get installed.
Bennet Fruesen Usually the Torque converter,and flywheel have problems but since he replaced them it may not be a problem...
@@derek8147 Depends on the year. The 4R75's had upgraded internals and had bigger fluid transfer holes in the valve body separator plate so the clutches engage faster and don't slip as much, making them last much longer.
@@cheeko_914 never knew that! That's good to know. But since my comment, I've started to gather parts now for a manual swap. My transmission still runs fine, but I really want to bang gears in a crown vic bad lol.
Between the 2500.00-4000.00 dollar blower setup, the 1200.00 dollar headers, the 800.00 dollar , incomplete I may add, exhaust , 200.00 - 400.00 dollar tune , 200.00 dollar ring and pinion set you have almost doubled what you paid on the car and its still not enough ......I know right ? I love my panther too. Lol

The 4.6 is definitely one of the worst engines to mod though
400hp isn’t enough? I’m sure it isn’t for some people but sure is a good daily for me.. the ADTR supercharger is a dream of mine.

Good thing I live 10min away from naperville IL bout to go there to get a supercharger installed in the vic. Man it absolutely amazes me how u can litterly supercharge this car on stock internals and the vic is just like " eh 🤷♂️" it's insane

Bennett Mathias its a 4r75e which is a updated 4r70w which is a updated aode ....the worst trans ever. I am scrounging parts to do a swap but ADTR has a complete kit and its like 1500.00 more than a you can put together your self, but the third best mod is a t56 swap with 4.10 ring and pinion . the auto that comes in this car is just wrong if your looking for performance and driver control. You think a miata is easy to drift, the panther is very confident while going deep sideways.
@@robsorgdrager8477 sounds like you need a driver mod. 4r75w with a J-mod is a capable transmission.
@@snufferoo for those who like the computer to pick which one of the 4 gears to be in. I like to chose what gear I'm in and for how long. Plus the gear ratios in a 3160...3061...the 05 ish five speed, are alot better than the 4r75e. I am currently driving with a j-moded trans and yeah the shifts are better but it's still a auto

These actually kind of suck. You really can't get more than 350-400hp from them. Nothing better than welding in a turbo to the exhaust. Big 70mm turbo should have no problem producing 14lbs of boost. 4.6 2v will be alright on 12 to 14 lbs of boost. I wouldn't throw anymore at it without forged internals.

I almost bought the adtr kit. Ended up with a Kenne bell that ran 11s on the stock motor with 400 hp. New built motor is now in and needs tuning. Has this car seen the track?

@@treykashflow6183 for heads n cams i'm being charged $2k in labor, heads cost $2,799.oo n cams $800.oo, but also got valve springs too n titanium retainers, head changing kit, n i forgot what else i might need, as well as a dyno tune is not included $600-800.oo n now you know how much it costs to get more power.. You know, i hate when ppl are ashamed to explain what they paid.. A Kenne Bell s/c costs around $4k, the ADTR kit is about $6k, labor can be around $1-3k unless you put them yourself..

So the exhaust pipes are under the rear passengers and also in front of the rear axel or what they call differential? Imagine how much heat it will make considering the newly added HP to the engine..
looks like the stock driveshaft. am I missing something? I was under the impression 3.73 and stock driveshaft wouldn't be happy at higher speeds or is it a sustained speed issue
ford has a rating for the driveshaft with different gear ratio and two different types of drive shaft they use on a Crown Vic if you do a little research you'll be shocked how much you can find out

I am working on this upgrade myself right now. I have some questions for you. Did you relocate the coolant reservoir or is it stock in that location? Also did you remove the oem fan to the current one if so which one did you use. I have an 01 crown vic and I'm having trouble getting everything to fit in, just trying to see what others did to get that system to fit in
We built this car 7 years ago so I really don't remember. The company that made the kit was ADTR and the guys name was Chris. He knows these cars inside and out so if you have specific questions I would contact him.
It's cheaper and easier to throw a turbo on these. If you can weld and turn wrenches.

I want this exact thing done on my 2011 except with nice and quiet stock mufflers (I can’t really tell how loud the video is though). How much do you think that would cost total? (Parts and labor for ADTR kit)
However, I have a police interceptor so I already have a transmission cooler from the factory, as well as a short differential.

@@blakehajny5884 my car’s still stock powertrain wise but I swapped out the seats and a few other interior things. Supposedly these engines can take up to 6 lbs boost stock. But ideally you’d want to do pistons, bottom end, heads, etc- so basically everything except the block. Stock cooling should be okay unless you drive like a race driver. So actually I’ve decided if I do want to do performance stuff I’ll do those other upgrades and stick with an NA setup, if I want a supercharger later everything else will already be built up and all it would need would be a tune.

Those are the chambered mufflers.

chris sport The stock hp rating is 250hp, so it's about 130hp gain.
It would be more than that. The 250hp rating is at the flywheel. The dynojet is a chassis dyno measuring power at the wheels. If you assume a 15% drivetrain loss the stock car should only put around 210-220 down at the wheels, making the blower have a net gain of around 165hp.
I have a simple question about this, everyone calls it a supercharger but to me it seems to be a turbo charger is there a reason for that? Or am I just stupid
There are 2 different types of superchargers, roots and centrifugal. The one in the video is a centrifugal which resembles a turbocharger but the similarities stop there. Turbochargers are powered by the engines exhaust and superchargers are driven by the engines crankshaft, normally through a belt drive system.

Our stock V6 2008 Mustang has a procharger running 7 lbs and gets 493HP on the dyno - so 380 for a 4.6 V8 is pretty shabby. But thanks for the footage of the rear bumper.

It's not hard at all, a Saturday in the driveway and you're good. I wouldn't go with those sw mufflers though. If you know how to weld you can throw some straight pipes on it and it really screams.

Bumper tuck that sumbitch! That alone adds an extra 25hp. Once you toss an American flag decal on each rear quarter window, you'll have about 75hp total gain including the bumper tuck.

The kit is about $6700 and the headers and exhaust are from Stainless Works and run about $2500.

sinephase well the kit on adtr is 5 thousand. Im guessing the install was around 2 to 3 thousand. Most custom installs are expensive and time consuming
