Hi. I realize this is an older video, could you answer me a ? How do you progress? Keep adding weight and do another cycle? Or go for a new one rep max and base percentages off new max????
This one was Hepburn "A" progression if you google. Basically start with 8 doubles at about 80% of a lift. Each session you change one of the doubles to a triple. When you do eight triples you add 5-10 pounds and start over with doubles. If you do a lift twice a week this works out to adding 10 pounds every month or so. I would usually run this routine for several months before I would switch to a peaking program like smolov or a different Hepburn program.
@@FaithVsFate I really liked it for squats. Hit a wall sooner than later on bench and deadlift. Very good for gradually building up if you're patient. I started adding amrap sets at the end as I got stronger (as many reps as possible on set 8 rather than 2 or 3.)
