It's good to see you back on Flosstube. Congratulations on your new little baby boy! I had carpal tunnel at one point and was told to wear a brace while sleeping. That really helped. I've seen people also wear it while they stitched. Good luck. Hope to see you again soon.

I'm now in my 70s and had no idea carpal tunnel can happen during a pregnancy - never heard of that. See we all continue to learn new things all the time!

I have carpal tunnel as well, although it comes and goes. It can be brutal, especially when stitching. (and sleeping, washing my hair in the shower, doing dishes, driving...gahhh). I hope yours heals up soon! Your work is beautiful, as always.

Congratulations 🎉 I found both of my pregnancies just a constant lesson in all the pregnancy symptoms that no one ever talks about. And 99% of them did go away after - including some slight carpal tunnel (though I didn’t have it to the extent that you’re describing) ❤ also both had different sets of these secret annoying symptoms, so there seemed to be no rhyme or reason. Your stitching is gorgeous. -Stephanie

I am sorry about the carpal tunnel, hopefully, the dry warm weather in AZ will help bring down the inflammation. You are going to love the Attic. It is so amazing that it is initially overwhelming. I went in August when it was over 110 degrees for Summer School. I heard that there is also a really nice yarn shop in that area but didn’t have time to go. It’s a bit counterintuitive to buy yarn there but the shop got rave reviews from friends. You were missed on Flosstube but now we know you were managing an exciting life event and you’ll be even busier soon. Please take care and enjoy this special time. ❤

I totally understand about the carpal tunnel, pain in your wrist and hands because I had the same thing while pregnant. I hope the Cortizone shots help. I also used to soak my hands and wrist and ice cold water and it seemed to help a little bit. Your cross stitch projects will be waiting for you when you can get back to them in the meantime I would love to see pictures from your trip to the Attic and see what you purchased. Enjoy your trip!
VERY excited for you! Loved the Summer Quaker finish and WIP Parade. I also got carpel tunnel from playing the piano, during a pregnancy, but didn't stop so it got worse and made lifting the baby painful. Hopefully, you can give your hands a good rest so they can get better soon.

VERY excited for you! Loved the Summer Quaker finish and WIP Parade. I also got carpel tunnel from playing the piano, during a pregnancy, but didn't stop so it got worse and made lifting the baby painful. Hopefully, you can give your hands a good rest so they can get better soon.
Hey Lauren -- so glad to hear your wonderful news!! I hope the pain & numbness in your hands will subside soon; I know you miss your stitching & knitting!! Enjoy your birthday trip to AZ, especially your trip to The Attic (you'll think you've died & gone to sampler heaven 🤣)!! It's a beautiful shop & the ladies who work there, plus the lovely owner, Jean, are the nicest ladies!! You'll have a wonderful time, I know!! Take care of yourself & that little one!! Your handwork will always be there; your little one won't stay little long!! It goes by way too fast!! My first born is 44 & for my birthday, which is this coming Thursday, he & my DIL are meeting my hubby, daughter & me in St. Charles, MO for the wknd--haven't seen him since last year at this time so I'm super excited!! Again, glad you're back & doing so well!! ❤

Welcome back! I was just going to look for you when you popped up! I loved seeing your finishes and wips. Congratulations on the new little boy! Babies do take a lot of time, but you also need to take bits of time for yourself. Progress may be much slower in this new season of life although stitching will unkink the knots . Hopefully the hands will be better soon.
