Enjoyed listening to your excellent recap on the retreat.Have fun with all your new goodies.I am a big Brenda Keyes fan and haven't got that house chart.
Wonderful video, Sarah. I appreciate you filming a day early for your alternative plans. Beautiful choices in all of your purchases. ❤❤
Wow I’m glad you had such a great time at your retreat. The box that you were gift is so beautiful. black house
I was absolutely thrilled to be the recipient of your smalls swap at the Stitch in London . It is absolutely gorgeous. It made my weekend!
Thank you for a wonderful video. It was fabulous living the retreat through your eyes so thank you for sharing.
What a great recap of your Stitch in London experience! Thank you for sharing all the fun. I hope next year will be as epic! 😉🤗❤
Stitch in London sounds like it was amazing. I'm one of the people who has joined across the pond since your previous video. I love that Scottish house sampler
That was such a wonderful flosstube - I enjoyed it immensely in particular the retreat review. I’ve not done a retreat yet - I’m so hoping to get to one next year with my Sis. We have got Jingle Ball tickets though! You gave such a good description of the retreat - it is hard to imagine what they are like when you haven’t been to one. And I must admit the shopping opportunities sound fantastic - to have three vendors selling fabric - wow! So often Sis and I have to buy from photographs. I am not surprised that you received such wonderful stitchy gifts. You remind me very much of Sarah from Sarah’s stitchy spot; you have the same kind and thoughtful nature. Thank you, Steph from Northern England
I stumbled upon your channel accidentally and don’t know how it’s taken me so long to find it! I’ll certainly be binge watching the rest of your episodes. Thank you for your wonderful content. Please enter me for the Scottish sampler House as I would love to stitch it.
We were at weekend 1 so missed you this year, but so glad you had a good time. You are so right about Marie and Gunter. Amazing job they do huge credit to them both. I love that house!
Enjoying seeing your 50 wips this year, so glad you had a great time at Stitching in London. There’s nothing better than being at home stitching in your own house.
Fantastic recap Sarah. Sounded like so much fun. I'm headed to Stitch North next weekend for a bit of retreat fun for myself. It's been ages so I'm very excited. The Scottish house sampler is divine. Hopefully no post retreat blues for either of us this year. 😊 🪡 ❤️ 🇨🇦
Was so good sharing the weekend with you Sarah..great flosstube x
Great video as usual, loved hearing about Stitch in London. House Black
I loved this, I grinned the whole way thru I've only been to one retreat, I really want to come to Stitch in London now! Beautiful gifts, beautiful haul x
I’m so glad you had such a wonderful time at your retreat! Aren’t they so much fun! House .
Thank you for sharing your Sitich In London experience; hopefully one day i will be able to go. Ordered the pattern that you used for your smalls exchange. Completed the Nessie Mitchell pattern, but I changed her name to my maternal Great-Grandmother's name.
I'm pleased you had another wonderfully exhausting weekend - but with less nerves this year! What beautiful stitchy gifts, swaps and purchases too. Black House.
Thanks Jean, no need for nerves this year. Loved it !
It is always a joy to see you and hear about your WIPS and stitches. I have never stitched a black sampler before, it sounds wonderful. Have a wonderful stitching week and tell Charlotte hi. Happy stitching and take care.
You have made me want to come even more next year! So pleased that you had a marvellous time!
There were so many folks there for their first time and they all said they’d come back. If you can make it, do!
Sarah, sounds like a fabulous time was had by all at the retreat! And lots of goodies bought and gifted! it's always wonderful to catch up with like minded friends and even get in a few stitches 😂 see you next time Teri
Yes a few stitches. I reckon I can do those at home, but I don’t always have the opportunity to see folks and do the shopping 😉
Hi Sarah, I thought of you last weekend and knew you would be having a fabulous time. Thank you for telling us all about it. Your enthusiasm and love of Stitch in London is wonderful. Unfortunately being unable to travel to such events I look forward to hearing from you of all the wonderful people, vendors and stitching that happens. Marie is an absolute wonder, and such a beautiful person, she really puts her heart and soul into the event.
I loved seeing your planned start for Black Sampler November and would love to stitch it myself. I hope Miss C is well and settled into her new school, hopefully we can catch a glimpse of her in your House next time. Until then take care, with best regards from across the water 🏴
She wasn’t I;the mood to join me yesterday. Mr Tumble was way more exciting! I’m sorry you can’t travel to the retreats, I’m sure you’d enjoy it once you were there.
Such a lovely recap of stitch in London Sarah. Thank you and Noreen for adopting me I definitely consider you Stitchy friends. I would love to join you for black sampler November 😊
Oh my Sarah, you really did have a wonderful time at Stitch In London. I'm sure Charlotte and Alan were delighted to get you home again too. I will probably be joining you to stitch Nessie Mitchel for the November black Sampler month. See you soon xx
I could feel your joy over your fun time at the Stitch in London. Good for you! House
Thank you! I do get a bit gushy!
@@sewmesarah Not at all. It was pure happiness. I was happy for you.
Thanks for the great recap about SIL! I was at weekend one and it was so fab. Keep up the great videos. House x
What a wonderful wrap up of the retreat…makes me more determined to participate one day…Black Sampler November is going to be fabulous…especially if there is a house to stitch! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing your haul, particularly the fabrics!
Thank you. Being brave enough to go to my first retreat last year was the best move. I found my people there! I hope you can do it one day.
I have a digital copy of the PNPS Winter 2021 issue and would love to start the heart with you. I've been wanting to stitch one of those for quite some time now. It's wonderful to see the joy you felt at your retreat and I fully understand how it is. I'd love to stitch a black Scottish house.
I had such a lovely time stitching with you this evening watching yours and Sally's updates!!
Thanks Amy. It was a long one this time😝
Sounds like you had a great time at Stitch in London! Love the house. Take care.
It was great Mary Ann!😊
House black. Thanks for sharing about the retreat.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Sarah for a lovely flosstube. I enjoyed your company and stores as I made good progress on Moon Deer from Owl forest embroidery. ❤
Thank you so much for watching. Hope you enjoyed your stitching.
I’m so pleased that you had such a good time, I adore the exchange gift you made. Stitchy friends are the best , What a beautiful House 🏠
Thank you so much Frederika!
Oh Sarah, I do so enjoy your fun floss tube. Looks like you certainly had a great time at stitch in London. Your stitching is so beautiful. Hugs. I loved the harp
Thank you Josie. It was such a lovely weekend with wonderful people.
Stitch in London sounded fabulous ❤. Noir November HOUSE. ❤
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching.
How lovely that the retreat was such a warm, heartfelt experience for you. So glad you were able to attend. The box from Yaz is stunning. Seems to me I saw a house painted black once. lol.
😉thank you Dianne.
What a treat to watch you tonight Sarah. I feel like I was at the retreat with you. It was lovely to hear all about it, I can only hope that I'll be there next year in person🤞🤞🤞
I hadn't realised that 1929 was the date on Nessie Mitchell. That's my late mother's birth year so I will join you in stitching that in her honour. Mind you, she'd be very unimpressed with me making her birthday year known. As she was older than my late Dad, she always tried to fudge her age 😂😂😂
The colours on that hummingbird are beautiful. That's going to be a real beauty when it's finished. Fair dues on getting the 262 stitches in, especially at a retreat 👏👏👏
Loved seeing the gifts & haul. Nothing beats seeing things in person. With no LNS anywhere here, it's one of the things I missed about not being able to get there this year. Yes, I know I can buy online but I'm of an age that like to see & feel things. I still buy physical books even though I have a Kindle as there is nothing beats the smell of a new book when you settle down to read.
If I've learnt anything this year it is to live in the moment, it's all we have. So don't worry about the lack of photos. Your enthusiasm & joy for the retreat clearly came across the screen.
Thank you. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Thank you lovely. I totally agree about SIL being like a once a year trip to an LNS! (And I have a kindle but mainly buy real books too😊.) Very much hoping you’ll get to be there yourself next Oct. 😘
How nice to be at your house again. It seems you enjoyed Stitch in London 🤣🤣🤣. I had totally forgotten about Black Sampler November. Keep on stitching…you are almost at 50. Did you think you could really do it? We all had faith in you. Stay well.
What a very beautiful stitchy gift!
Thank you Wilma.
I love that gray house.
Absolutely love the smalls exchange piece. The harp looks amazing. I use the bead smith mats, if it loses stitch run it under tap (which you are saying as I am typing 🤣), it might have been me recommending. I love the idea of a cross stitch dress. Retreat sounding amazing 🤩. Never heard of the Forinell silk before. I love the inside of the needle book, but I’m not a big reader so Jane Austin doesn’t appeal but it loves lovely. Love the CGT threads. Yas’ box looks amazing. The house looks amazing, apparently I have a thing for stitching them 😂.
Yes, it might have been you who introduced me to the mat. It’s a great little helper, and good to know it really does just take a rinse under the tap to refresh it. Florimel is a silk from Gloriana. It’s very nice to stitch with. Developing tastes I can’t afford 😉 Actually it’s not terribly expensive if you calculate it out. It’s a twelve strand silk, so goes quite a bit further.
Hi Sarah you did have a great time last weekend. Nessie has a lovely Black house.
I really, really did 😉
Black
I really enjoyed hearing all about stitch in london. It sounds like you had a great time and had all sorts of fun at the airport. I think there is going to be another little black house being stitched in November as I've never stitched any blackwork before. The items made to give away by everyone were beautiful. I love hearing all the little stories. 🙂
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed the stories, that where my memories are made 😉
FOMO commence!!! 😂
