It’s wonderful Michelle! I even found a round plate frame already to go for when it’s finished. Lovely suggestion as I had no idea about those frames. I still can’t wait for your two deer samplers though. They will be perfect for my deer wall. No pressure …. But I do love them. 😃
How fun to see your chart from the Graue Mill! I grew up in the vicinity and went there for class field trips or to enjoy a spot of nature in the Chicago suburbs. Wasn’t interested in fine Stitchery at the time but will avidly follow your stitching progress. Thanks!😊
Hi Michelle! I was in an antique shop here in the US a couple of years ago and I was looking at some washboards. They had glass boards instead of metal ones. The owner of the shop said the ones with the glass boards were probably from the 1940s during the time of WW2. Metal would have been difficult to get during the war so glass was used instead. I haven’t done any research into this, but it seemed to make a lot of sense.
Southern American here- never heard of”slightly on my back foot” before. Love it! I had a glass scrub board at one time. Purchased here in the USA. I’m guessing that the glass ones were heavier and got broken.
I''m so excited the bird pattern is in the shop now! Thank you! I will be stitching the back, brighter side, as you did! I'm listening to the morning birds now, in fact! We, the neighborhood, keep a birdfeeder out, so it attracts all types of different birds, and of course, squirrels! The birds are going to be a delight to stitch! Your patterns are quickly becoming my WIPS! Yes! Lol! I love them ALL! Thank you for making this video, I missed you last week, but I'm happy you had fun at the retreat and shared it with us! Happy stitching!!!
Loved your video this morning! Stitch in London is one of my bucket list items...some day...I'll have to start checking over here in the US for the Marks and Spencer tins for the year! So clever and beautiful and you get treats too!
Great flosstube , lovely to have the Sunday (evening today) briefing. Had a great time at stitch in London I agree we had a fabulous table and really enjoyed the retreat, it was so lovely to see the duck jugglers in person, it’s such a fun and unusual sampler with a great finish well done. Next job is to kit up birds of a feather circle together ❤❤. Glad you’re enjoying those biscuits and if you have the Parkin biscuits they have a real kick to them 🤣xx
Michelle is it possible that Maria emigrated which may explain why you can’t find a death certificate. Are there any records in the Uk that list those leaving the UK?
