Sonar Shock is on SALE until July 11 - which is absolutely insane considering how cheap the game already is. store.steampowered.com/app/2673660/Sonar_Shock If you like what we're doing here, don't forget to like/share/sub and maybe consider joining us at the Heroes' Table over on Patreon, or check out our links in the description. If I had a nickel for every time I saw a game where you play as a member of a communist military and your facility has completely fallen to some sort of haunting/virus...I'd still have two Nickels, but it's weird that it happened twice and the other time was Signalis.
Not a review suggestion, but Earth Defense Force 6 is getting the western release around July 24th. Considering the game allows for split-screen coop, that might make for a good time if you two share the same neighborhood. Break out beverages of choice, relax while raining hellfire on a hundred jumping spiders.
@@BluntEversmoke Doesn't seem anything alike. If you want a SHMUP with good music, you can try Tyrian 2000, or Jets & Guns. EDF is a 3rd-person game where you can summon airstrikes on Godzilla, ants, and flying saucers all at once, and literally has hundreds of 3D enemies on the screen at the expense of frame rates. If you are into sci-fi B movies, the series is the finest cheese, and has legit strategy for loadout and approach.
Tho I would've preffered a more dark and serious tone and presentation for the game, I do enjoy me some System Shock 1 art style and and gameplay system, 2 out of 3 boxes checked it's good enough for me and i'll give the game a shot, great review heroes, much love.
Almost feel like it's better in the indie sphere, can't really think of what a big studio would improve other than graphic fidelity. There's a lot to be said for a small studio with a tight vision. Maybe a AA studio along the size of Spiders or Cyanide would be a better choice?
Well, there's militsioner currently in the making. And then there's system shock 2 remake, I'm sure nightdive will remake this game as well but yeah, it'll take some time till this happens. As for right now, it seems like fallen aces is a good option.
super fun game. i bought it at launch and dont regret my purchase one bit! if youre like immersive sims, especially system shock 1, this is a great title. it also has a great sense of humor + lovecraftian horror monsters/themes, if youre into that too
I had my eye on this, definitely gotta get it. Only problem is, it's so cheap normally that I'd feel bad buying it on sale, especially since it's a solo dev.

Thanks for the heads up guys!
Hell yeah brotherrrr

Hah! 😂 😁 Been meaning to get around to playing that one at some point, though- heard really good things
@@2HeadedHero will you promise to play it though?
Actually 3 nickels! Due to You Are Empty.
@@leosierras9643 Ahhh I remember that Slavjank. Maaaaaybe Atomic Hearts qualifies as well, although by that was more of an AI uprising?
@@Neukend I see what you did there

Definitely love co-op and the EDF series!
Hell yeah, EDF rules!
Is that series in any way related to the end-80s side-scrolling shooter arcade title with the rad music?

Awesome recommendation! Glad to see more imsims. Thanks for recommending Control Alt Ego that game was incredible! Can’t wait to try this one
CAE still gets the imsim crown but this is a great game, especially for the price!

I think the silliness and the horror balances out completely but I understand that vibe
As fantastic as always, guys!
Appreciate it! Thanks for hanging
God I hope we get some high budget immersive sims again someday...

@@2HeadedHero I mean, there are the Arkane Studios Immersive Sims, but we've seen what happens to studios who make immersive sims.
Well Perfect Dark looks alot like Deus Ex so maybe we'll get one if we lucky.

It's definitely good! Plenty of fixes to the performance issues that it had at launch, plus the upcoming DLC looks cool
@@2HeadedHero didn’t know there was a dlc on the way….would love to see that!
@@treeokk It's more of a Director's Cut.
Another banger review
Thanks very much!!
Most of my favorite games are immersive sims and fps horror rpg games. So I’m eager to try this.
Lot of good indie imsims coming out lately! But this one is really worth the price

Get it on sale and leave a positive review?
Immersive sim with daggerfall Controls damn thats good.
It is pretty good!
Great review! While I do not know if this one is among them, God bless all the Russian game devs standing up for peace!
The dev is Austrian 😁😁 but yes, much love for passionate indie devs!
ah darn it i always miss premiers
It's cool 😎😎
Debating whether it's worth it to keep doing them for short videos like this one
You can hop in the discord server to get reminders, if you like! :D
This game is an excellent time. I also really appreciated the cheeki breeki reference
Glad you enjoyed it! 😁😁
Fine, I’ll buy the game and make my own video, DAD(s)
😂😂
Thanks 😁😁
in soviet russia you dont make the puns THE PUNS MAKE YOU. oh god im infected too! D:
You see comrade...
Two heads are better than one
Sometimes!
Seems like a decent game , tank controls are athmata to me never liked it.
It's great once you know what you're getting into but that could be a deal breaker for some
Tank controls in 1st person feels very different than in 3rd person.
❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰
Ew.
I just can't deal with those graphics. Should have gone with System Shock remake graphical level.
Definitely would not have been the same, game's going for a 90s look and feel
@@2HeadedHero Also it's like, 1 dev (vs. a whole team for SS remake)
