Border View Farms is a mid-sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. My name is Nathan. I make and edit all of the videos posted here. I farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. Our part-time employee, Brock, also helps with the filming. 1980 was our first year in Waldron where our main farm is now. Since then we have grown the operation from just a couple hundred acres to over 3,000. Watch my 500th video for a history of our farm I filmed with my dad.
I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. Agriculture is different from any other industry and I believe the more people that are showing their small piece of agriculture, helps to build our story. We face unique challenges and stressful situations but have some of the most rewarding payoffs in the end. I get to spend everyday doing what I love, raising my kids on the farm, and trying to push our farm to be better every year. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture.

Nathan I enjoy your videos and watch every day thanks. Mike Less from the Farmhand Mike channel did a video of the Rain 360. He shows drone footage of the field that shows the cornering damage from the Rain unit. As you said it very minimal, however it appears as though they planted perpendicular rows like headland for the unit to make it’s trunk runs. I don’t know if that would make much of a difference.

Nathan, down from my house there is a flag that has to be all of 40X150 I thought of it when you said it’s a big flag. I am going to try and take a picture of it and show you I have never seen a flag that big.
I don’t guess size that well but I am going to ask so we know the size it’s huge.

The 360 is just plain and simply a very cool unit.
I wonder if 360 will ever implement a hose change option whereas the operator can quickly change the drop hoses for hoses that can spray above the corn for fungicide, etc. application?
Either way it’s a darn cool unit.

Nathan, to help prevent your equipment from overheating. You could install 4" or 6" stainless steel louvered soffit vent along with a fan. Just a thought. Your flag pole looks amazing.
You will need a light on the flag if you fly it at night.

What if you were to build a panel around your power box like you did up were the 360 is and then you could put a sign on it for the seed warhorse
Flagpole looks great! Are you concerned about the well site, as far as someone messing with it? Especially that "loadout valve" would be not good if someone opened it while the RAIN was trying to operate. Just a thought. Thanks for the interesting videos.
Not really. If the valve was opened it would reduce the pressure at the Rain and trigger a shutdown.

Remove the Door and take it and A Automotive Repair Shop or Fabricator Shop might punch louvers in the Door to Help Dissipate the Heat also a Small Axiel Fan inside!
would it really hurt your yield if you just left the center unplanted so the 360 has a path to run in? or just plant the center row in the same direction 360 will run up the center of the field. I don't fell like its doing much damage vs your older system.
Works really well , but is it worth it at a 200,000.00 dollar investment
