Hi Darren, May I ask how it went and if your players knew pathfinder or D&D5e ? I am curious to assess how big of a jump it is (and how fun it was ^^). Thank you!
Now that I got my Pathfinder 2E collection all caught up, I can focus on buying Starfinder products. This really helps me out a great deal and I always appreciate that you do these buyer's guide videos! Thanks for all the work you do!
Love these looks at what's available. Will certainly be watching the others in the series when they come out. Don't have all the Starfinder books that I want, but I still don't have anyone to play with either. (I keep thinking of looking into getting into a Roll20 game, but I'm already in two other groups.) Be well and stay safe!
I played roleplay games for the past 20 years and my group is always looking for new system/setting (we went through a lot) - just picked the starter set with the hope to convince them that yet another d20 game is not too bad. Havent tried it yet but I consider myself a collector and wanted to explore the options so I found your video as great answer to my question :)
Could you do another updated video? I’ve just picked up the core rule book and am delving into everything Starfinder! Would love to know what to pick up next. Also maybe your current feelings of Starfinder? Love your videos, keep it up!
Man, love the Canadian content. Would love a personal opinion, and you're talking to a guy who is just getting into pathfinder 2e. Do you find starfinder to be more guardian of the galaxy or mass effect? (Spoiler, I'm looking for the latter). Also would like to know if you've messed around with numenera for comparison
I haven't tried Numenera as of yet. I also get more of a Mass Effect vibe from Starfinder, although with the right group you could easily get a Guardians of the Galaxy style game going.
Thank you again ! second video I see from you and it is perfect. You helped a GM here! Now I need to decide between the French hard cover or the english Pocket edition :)
Looking to get into SF but I'm unsure whether to wait for a 2nd edition. Would you consider doing a ranking/rating of the APs released so far, like you did with the 5e adventures?
That does sound like a great idea. I don't have all the adventure paths, but I can absolutely do a ranking on the Paths I have in full. As far as I know there are no immediate plans for a Starfinder 2nd Edition, but if you are unsure my recommendation is to check out either the Beginner Box or the Pocket Edition Core Rulebook since they are a more budget friendly way to dip your toes into the pool.
Hey, I know this is an older video so I don't know if you will check this. I run a 3.5/Pathfinder (I love it but it is a mess) game and a 5e game. I have ran other systems and am looking for something new. I love 3.5, but around level 8 or 9 Skills get so inflated that either you come up with contrived reasons to make the checks hard or they auto pass. How do the skills feel in Starfinder?
*I was wondering if there was a Starfinder game master guide .* *But it appears that there is no such book .* *I have played fantasy Games & modern style world games .* *But never Sci-fi games .* *The two i'm looking into are Starfinder & Traveller by Mongoose publishing .*
I don't think so. There were some concepts in Starfinder that helped shape Pathfinder 2E but Starfinder is only a few years old. I suspect Starfinder will go a few more years (3-5) before a 2nd Edition is announced. That is purely speculation though on my part so take that for what you will.
Played my first game of Starfinder last night. If they release everything in pocket edition, then I can see me picking all of the books up.

Thanks for this video man, this was awesome and very helpful!
Thank you! I'm glad it helped!
How about a 2023 edition? Maybe which adventures or one shots to start with
I second that proposal 👍
That can be arranged!

If they bring out the first Alien Archive book in a pocket edition I would be keen to pick it up along with the Corebook!
I was just watching the Starfinder buyer guide 😊, Guess i have to watch the New one

Will you be reviewing the upcoming Alien Archive 4?
I do plan on it, though I am not sure exactly when I will be able to pick up a copy after it comes out.

With Pathfinder 2e out. Is a starfinder 2e coming sometimes soon?

How do you know SF doesn't take place in the past? lol! Anyway, it's a great game!! I've had a lot of fun with it as a GM & PC.
