Love watching you set up! I am the same, I have to clean and wipe down everything in my classroom before I can start anything else. I love Goo gone, but if you want a more natural product that smells great, just use lemon essential oil! The lemon essential oil works just like Goo gone and it’s nontoxic! A little goes a long way too. 😊

@_lovelykristen You should!! There's so much to see and do! The city isn't overwhelming or hard to navigate and EVERYBODY and everything comes here! So many different kinds of artists and art; so much culture is made here; so many cultures are represented here (there's actually a really big Middle Eastern population in Nashville, which I had no idea about until I moved here!); lots of outdoor adventures, parks, and things on the water (Percy Priest Lake); lots of rooftop pools, bars, and hangout spaces with views of the city (and live music!); great coffee shops and SO MUCH delicious food. Come visit! And pack your Thanksgiving pants, for sure 😂😂 (Just bring your patience because the traffic WILL make you lose your mind. My parents are in Gwinnett and I swear that driving in/through/around Atlanta makes me "soft." I have to put my game face on to come back to Nash 😆😆)
But Nashville is definitely an accessible getaway, especially if you're coming up from GA (which, I'm assuming you are!) It's a good solo trip or group trip!
@@Bekah1852 I can tell just from a lot of the pictures that I see that there’s a lot to do there. The traffic must be crazy if Atlanta makes you soft because Atlanta’s traffic can drive you crazy too 🤣🤦🏽♀️ Yes, I’ll be coming from GA. I’ll definitely have to plan a trip there soon. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet in person 😁🫶🏽
Goo Gone is an amazing product for getting rid of tape marks and other adhesive products. You could also use Goo Gone and a toothbrush for the more difficult adhesive or sticky marks. When it comes to those soft geometric shapes, kids will have a tendency to chew on them or mark them up with pencils or markers. Kids can also use their fingers to tear into them as well. I prefer the hard plastic manipulatives because they are easier to clean. Best of luck to you in your first year of teaching. I begin my 31st year of teaching in August, but I never forget what it was like back in 1992. Take care.
I’ll definitely take a toothbrush with me next time. I feel like I need to put some on there one more time and let it sit and then hopefully it’ll all be gone. And you have a good point about the foam pattern blocks. I would definitely prefer the plastic ones. And wow, 31 years. That’s amazing. I hope you have the best year 🫶🏽

Teachers go back on Aug. 1st- students on Aug. 7th. It’s coming so fast.
