What's happening is that the generation of women that were in their early to mid 20s when "Hot Girl Summer" and other thot songs came out are now rapidly approaching 30 and realizing they don't have anything. My ex got into contact with me a few days ago and was telling me how I was right about her before we broke up in late 2019. She wanted to live that city girl life and I told her it isn't going to lead no where except loneliness and debt. Fast forward now, she is 28 about to turn 29 still young but she is in crippling debt from all the trips she taken and maxing out all her credit cards, still living with her mom (who has a boyfriend now and want my ex gone soon). No Man wants to date her because she got a $50k job and so broke she can barely pay her car note let alone a bill or rent.
It's probably more of a character flaw thrn income or debt that she or any woman can't get a date. Otherwise just bring decent looking with no kids would be enough for most guys.

I remember Salt n Pepa, Lil Kim and Foxxy Brown starting this path because before them female rappers were really cool and had songs about important things happening in modern culture. They wore full clothing and danced like regular people (at the time) used to dance. It was just better in my opinion. I used to listen to Queen Latifah, Mc Lyte and others who actually had something to say and seemed really cool. I was a kid at the time, so I didn't fully understand all of their lyrics, but they definitely seemed more "wholesome" than what came after them. I think now there are too many women who think they have to be like Nicki Minaj or Cardi B in order to be successful, so they do reckless things that just end up ruining their lives. There are still really great indie rappers out there that keep their clothes on, but they probably won't get the stardom these provocateurs get. Stardom seems to be a curse anyway though.

I remember Salt n Pepa, Lil Kim and Foxxy Brown starting this path because before them female rappers were really cool and had songs about important things happening in modern culture. They wore full clothing and danced like regular people (at the time) used to dance. It was just better in my opinion. I used to listen to Queen Latifah, Mc Lyte and others who actually had something to say and seemed really cool. I was a kid at the time, so I didn't fully understand all of their lyrics, but they definitely seemed more "wholesome" than what came after them. I think now there are too many women who think they have to be like Nicki Minaj or Cardi B in order to be successful, so they do reckless things that just end up ruining their lives. There are still really great indie rappers out there that keep their clothes on, but they probably won't get the stardom these provocateurs get. Stardom seems to be a curse anyway though.

Rap, hip-hop and even R&b became trash after the 90's and early 00's era. These new artist are coming out with nursery rhymes with explicit lyrics. Str8 trash from no talented zombified morons.
I wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music growing up but as an adult going back and listening to their music it’s timeless. I listened to Eric B & Rakim’s first 2 albums the same message that touched people when it came out is still relevant decades later. That’s what artist should want not these garbage songs that no one will listen to in a few years.
I have a 14 year old daughter and I keep talking to her about this toxic climate and how this is NOT what a man who is looking for a wife wants and for her not to follow this behavior. I also send her the links to these videos so she can hear it from a BLACK, articulate woman. Keep up the good work!
