After replying to a lot of comments about financial aid/scholarships, I think it is worth mentioning that tuition fundraising is also a great way to pay for the YYGS program tuition! You could create a GoFundMe account to raise money for your experience at YYGS, whether that be the full tuition or maybe just the plane tickets. It's always worth a try!!
Also if you can do a video about CTY that an amazing program and if it would not bother can you share with your ig I would really like to ask a few questions
Hiii love ur video I have a question concerning the financial aid , does it include the plane tickets, if not is there anyway to get a scholarship for that ??
Hello! I don't think the financial aid includes the plane ticket (I might be wrong, so you would want to check with YYGS). However, you can try to email YYGS asking them if it would be possible to apply for financial aid for your plane tickets.
I don't think awards are a prerequisite to any application. Demonstrating your passion through extracurricular activities through your essays can easily beat a few shiny awards that somebody without a keen passion won just because it "looks good on applications"!
I'm not sure about this, but I think it would be best if you could try to translate your documents for financial aid application (just to make it easier for YYGS Admissions people to read and verify).
@@mohamedlakhili3594 I totally understand where you're coming from, but I think everything is worth a shot. As long as you show that you have a passion for learning (general or in a specific area of interest) in your personal statements and highlight why YYGS is a compatible summer program for you (e.g., how it matches with yours interests or your values, etc...), I think you definitely have shot at it. Even if you get waitlisted or rejected, I'm sure you would learn something just from the process of applying. In the end, personal growth is the most important of all!
I think YYGS searches for students who demonstrate a solid foundation in academics AND a passion for learning/serving. A passion for learning/serving is definitely most easily demonstrated by extracurriculars, so adding those would definitely be a plus!
So what do you think like when the application page is updated with results and those who aren't got the spot, does the letter of rejection is same for all or its personlize based on their application
I'm not sure about this because I haven't been able to see one. However, I think rejection letters would be the same for all, but again, I don't know much about this.
hi! Im appliying this yer at YYGS but I asking for the financial aid, even though im asking for help do i have to pay the amount of money for applying? like the early action
I am not sure, but I think you do need to pay the application fee. However, there is a webinar particularly for Financial Aid & Scholarships. You can always ask this question in the webinar! The link is here: register.gotowebinar.com/register/6799813838137688 I hope that answers your question!
@@mattcomics5048 I think it is best if the school transcript is in English! You can try to ask your school administrators to translate it into English. Good luck!!

Update!! The scholarship YYGS offers includes the program and travel fee. However, it is all need-based.
@@JrDrFionaChou Thank u soooo much ❤
Thank you!
Is it ok even if I don’t have awards? How can I still make my application strong?

Hi can you please tell like is gpa enough or do we need to have some extracurriculars too ?

@JrDrFionaChou thank you 😁
Hello! Actually It is 4 hours left before the deadline, but Did you write activities you said in "why YYGS" essay in activity list?
I would definitely still list them in the activity list even if I mentioned them in the "why YYGS" essay!

hello! is there anyway i can get them to bear my plane fare if i am unable to bear it due to my financial condition?
I'm not sure if they would, but I think it is definitely worth applying for financial aid in this case. They are usually very generous!
