Hey guys!!! This is a video that's been pending for a while I KNOW I KNOW. I missed all of you :)
WELCOME TO Summer Programs in US, a guide that will teach you how to apply and give you EVERYTHING you need to pick a quality program during your summer vacations.
In this video, we will discuss why you should go for summer programs, how they can enhance your college application, provide you academic depth, and help you explore your passions in high school. We also discuss the value of relationship building, and how summer programs can help you find friends, mentors, and even potentially receive letters of recommendation from your professors.
In the second segment of this video, I give you a framework to assess Summer Programs, breaking down the elements of Financial Aid & Cost, Duration & Destination, Academic Major, and the value you want to derive from the program.
In the third segment, we discuss what truly sets a summer program apart. Remember, most quality programs in the United States for high school students are FREE. We talk about acceptance rates, application process densities, and how you should refer to trusted sources like the MIT Admissions Blog.

I got into YYGS for 2021 (it’s going to be online 🙄) but I’m so excited for it!!! Even tho I haven’t experienced this program yet but I would definitely recommend anyone thinking for applying would go for it. Thanks for this video Shaurya ☺️
@Ghavri parvathy Yess!!! i got an almost full scholarship, and i paid only 100 dollars. Also note that it is a need based scholarship rather than a merit based, so if you truly have a need they will grant you a generous scholarship. GOOD LUCK!
@Ghavri parvathy No problem! You don’t have to submit any standard test scores such as SAT or TOEFL to get into YYGS, so if you’re thinking of taking the SAT for the sole purpose of YYGS, then no need. I think you’re still a little young for the SAT anyway so i would recommend thinking about taking SAT only after ur 10th grade
@Ghavri parvathy you just need to submit your school transcripts, that has to be done by a school official. you just have to ask your class teacher or counselor and they will be able to upload the transcripts for you
@Ghavri parvathy you can mention any academic awards that you may have received in or outside of your school. Remember that you must write about your academic awards and not any awards received in extracurriculars as their is a separate section for ur extracurriculars
@Ghavri parvathy Yes I too plan to apply for RSI and SSP next year. Just make sure you have a back up university as well as MIT is extremely hard to get into for international students. Not to discourage you, and just work hard and I’m sure you will get in :))

I am a student of class 9th (January 2022) and wholeheartedly I want myself to get into MIT. And I've heard that enrolling into one of these summer camps can increase one's chances to get into MIT and universities of Ivy league.

Hey Shaurya, I'm currently in grade 12th, could I still be eligible for any of the summer programs?
I really want to try and get into one. Up until my grade 11th, I had no idea things like these even existed in the first place (perks of living in a small town), neither did any of my teachers know a lot about these.
