    The ‘Sorted’ bit was genius.
Back in the 90s we had all night TV for the first time, a few times a night they would put on a brief cooking show called ‘Get Stuffed’, usually in place of adverts. It was rubbish but very much in the style of ‘Sorted’.

Watching you two laugh should be prescribed on the NHS as a little pick me up for people, 30 mins of Brad and Lucy every day would make everyone happier! I was thinking of you both earlier, I was watching Tim Vine being interviewed on Richard Herrings superb show called RHLSTP, it's on TH-cam and a lot of fun, Richard Herring was actually part of a double act for many years with Stewart Lee who you've also reacted to, they were called 'Lee and Herring' and made some great TV shows.

The total 'randomness' you note in this is exactly the way that Monty Python first hit us as young schoolkids in the early 70s. It has since become almost 'normalized' because everyone has seen it, but there is no escaping how radical it was at the time.
This is now some 30 years old, but I note that a lot of news & other broadcasts have not really developed above the satire of themselves.

Hi Brad & Lucy. A few years ago I had access to free-to-view CNN 24hr news station. Among the names of anchors and reporters were ‘Wolf Blitzer’ and ‘Coy Wire’.
These names tend to strike as very strange and may have led to some of the wonderful names featured in The Day Today: Eugene Fraxby, Alabaster Cody, Romela Belx, Beverley Smax, Chuck Fadanoid 😂

Chris Morris based his main presenter character on political journalist Jeremy Paxman, who used to properly grill politicians with a no-nonsense, aggressive, almost Gestapo-interrogation technique.
The voice, style and personality are eerily accurate!

One of the funny yet very profound sketches, ridiculing very strange circumstances . The censoring had it's desired effect. I remember watching TV interviews in the 80's as a kid thinking they MUST be the bad guys because they're not allowed to speak on TV like everyone else. Very dehumanising and surely something we're better off without whatever your position on the whole topic might be.
