I don't find any of this stuff creepy, but near the end when (SPOILERS) Skull kid faints, and he's just dangling there, held up by Majoras Mask - THATS creepy.
Creepiest Zelda villain ever? He wasn't even a villain, that was the mask itself and besides, Majora isn't really that creepy. I find Zant and Ghirahim to be far more creepy, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, the concept of Skull Kids isn't cute (they are children who get lost in the woods and become a skull kid that can never leave the woods) and he isn't innocent as he'll attack you in OoT if you're an adult and you get too close.

I remember this. It's been so long, but from what I recall, that moment was so sad and eerie. Definitely brought back some memories after reading this!
It's scary if you think about it. A hand that it's cold to the touch, grabbing either your butt or your balls, pullimg you deep inside to another world. Usually the underworld
Jack Gimbert we never see him after the quest, as we view the cutscenes through his point of view as a reward for completing his quest. We can't confirm that he stayed a child

The most creepy one for me is the moon's "surface" with the large tree and 4 kids running around it. Those kids eerily resembles the happy masked man and the animation in that area seems so different from most of the game.
Lyna Gucci so you would enjoy a man ripping off your flesh until the blood stains your skin, or strangles you until your face turns blue, or a hand coming from the toilet and dragging you down to hell?
Not exactly, I know and knew the reason, it is just kind of creepy, basically, when link puts the mask on, he see's all the painful memories of the dead persons mask, so it is painful, but in less of a physical way, and more of a mental way.
I was hoping Creeps would've touched upon the inside of the moon and the moon children. Was there a reason for the inside being bright sunny and with lands ape, and semi-magical kids in it? How and why did they live there? What was with their weird philosophical questions? Did they just DIE when the moon was destroyed? That entire part has always confused and interested me, and I wish someone could explain it for me.
the moon is the scariest thing for me. the first time i played it and looked up in the sky i saw that small, freakish moon glaring down at me from so high up. but on the 2nd day it got closer, and the 3rd day it got so close it would fill the entire screen. why does the moon look like that? why is its face human like? was a person turned into the moon? why does it shed tears? (probably because of torture), was majoras mask really the antagonist?
Majora's Mask (my favorite Zelda game) turned 20-years old today. I have soo many fascinating memories playing and watching my older brother play this game in the basement. It was only today that I discovered that our birthdays are very close to each other. Thank you for this video!
something that i never forget about this game is the cutscene when link puts on a mask containing a spirit, and lets out a terrible scream. that part always makes putting it on seem… painful, in a way.
As a kid, i was fucking terrified of the first boss. The way he just danced after his attacks, the way he summoned his minions, the voicelines he kept screaming during the fight, the entire "Oath of Order" learning sequence. As a child, all of that was terrifying to me for no particular reason.
i could only watch the first few. those things are not terrifying. I'll admit, the Happy Mask Salesman can be slightly unnerving with his mood swings, but not terrifying.
Well that's kind of the point. Fierce Deity is supposed to be stronger than Majora to such an absurd degree. It's not supposed to be a challenge, it's supposed to give you the power of the gods. It's harder to fight him as normal Link. And that's how it's "fun".
10. Am I the only one who found him to be funny? I found the "p...p...paper's please?" to be more of him being embarrassed, like he just fell into the toilet, and to make matters worse, there is no toilet paper. 9. I actually found that to be honorable. I mean, I personally don't find suicide honorable, but technically he is already dead, so more or less his spirit is just being split into tinier pieces. 8. Yeah, I kind of agree he was pretty creepy. 7. I found him to be more cool than anything, personally. 6. In the original, the statues themselves weren't creepy. In MM3D, however, the statues were pretty freaky, especially because of the wooden texture. I find it weird that some people use the Link statue as evidence of the Link's Dead Theory, but unlike the other statues with soulless eyes, the Link statue actually has pupils. 5. Skull Kid actually isn't the main antagonist, Majora's Mask itself is. Besides that, though, I don't find Skull Kid scary, in fact, he's more sad than anything. What you should have put here instead is that Link's Deku form is the body of a dead Deku Tree, since that's what you talked about most. 4. I didn't find this one scary. More disturbing than anything. 3. Besides the jump-scare, this wasn't that scary. It was actually kind of heartwarming. 2.Yeah, okay, I'll give you this one too. Honorable 1: This goes with the Romani sidequest, so why not just mention it? Also, how is it terrifying besides the fact that they are wearing the Garo Mask? Honorable 2: I found this to be more depressing, IMO. 1. Besides the scary visuals, there really isn't anything to be scared about. As long as you collected all the masks beforehand (like I did), and got the Fierce Diety's mask, then the difficulty aspect is gone too (it isn't that difficult in the first place). Now, before anyone tries to get mad at me for hating on Creeps, I actually like Creeps. I think he's a good narrator, and is my favorite creepypasta narrator. However, I wanted to add my input on these points, saying why I think they are aren't terrifying or just that I agree with him.
batman88891 Well for me the wooden texture made it more obvious that it was an statue, what made it creepy for me was it's look and grin. But what made it extremely creepy was the Ben Drowned videos. I thought it was the creepiest of the statues, but it was far from being the creepiest thing in this game.
batman88891 Even though some characters were a little creepy, they were rather funny/entertaining as well. The Hand must've been popular enough to make it into Skyward Sword
I am looking at these comments and JESUS CHRIST!!! You have a lot (not all) of oblivious people who don't seem to know that Ben Drowned is damn creepypasta, not in-game content. Like as if they're watching this video for watching because they never played the game.
Abimael Diaz I never played the game but I know that BEN Drowned is a creepypasta and Majora's Mask is an official game by Nintendo. Cause I read the pasta and know the difference.
God this is one of the greatest, most psychologically disturbing games of all time. I remember playing this when I was like 8... didn't really understand the beauty/subliminal messages back then, but even so the bizarre creativity and sheer terror you feel as if the world is truly doomed made this so enjoyable. Still can't decide if Link either died on his adventure looking for Navi (becoming a Stafalos hence the old warrior in Twilight Princess that passes down the sword techniques) or if he's alive and is experiencing the stages of depression.
This game gives me the creeps every time I play it!! I honestly have no idea how they managed to make it as terrifying as it is... Most everything in the game is so unsettling. But that's why we love it! And honestly I am very much hoping for more of this creepiness in the next Zelda installment, Breath of the Wild!!
The inside world of the moon was pretty scary. It's nothing but a bunch of creepy children in their underwear wearing the masks of the foes you defeated and a tree. Even their dialogue is unsettling.
you know one you missed day three music clocktown you listen closly to that song(headphones recommended) you hear a almost satanic tone in the background representing that everyone knows their death is soon to be here creepy indeed
The scariest thing is that the whole game is a giant metaphor for the lead designer going insane under the pressure of making an entire Zelda game within a single year.
Wow by far the creepiest shit in this game are the transformation masks... this... animation gave me the creeps when I was little! It was not the moon, nor the Majoras Mask Boss fight, hell I even think the hand in the toilet is funny... it was the masks! This painful scream is so creepy and disturbing than most of the contant in this list! Also the Boss "Gyorg" gave me nightmares when I was a kid! Most stuff in this list wasn't creepy at all for me!
for real, the painful scream of link fusing with the chosen soul of the mask. you'd think why is it this painful? the souls are put to rest already they should obey link fully, the transformation should be smooth and harmless...but it isnt.
Somebody at Nintendo’s Package Designer sect. decided the image they should use to represent Majora’s Mask on the GameCube collection is the one for Link using the Zora mask, as a kid, seeing that made me *very* uncomfortable.
TheMdub27 Gameinformer said a Nintendo rep said that the ravine seperating the areas can actually be explored... Would LOVE a boss fight there or creepy references to THIS game, in particular.
The more terrifying thing about the mask fight is that in the second stage it has a childlike nature about it. It makes you almost feel guilty when attacking it.
I feel like the more recent Zelda’s are too bright and colourful. I miss when they had a creepiness about them. Even a cartoony game like Wind Waker had its creepy aspects to it. But Majora’s Mask did it best out of them all
I don't know about you, but when ever I do the "protecting Romani from the "Aliens" I have always shook in fear because I didn't really want to screw up. Also, when it's the final day and I'm far from clock town whilst not having the "travel song" I get very scared.
Our generation Sucks well that's pretty negative for a youtube name thanks for making us younger people in this generation look like bad people I feel so good about self now ;_;
Can we just have ONE TH-cam video about majora's mask that DOESN'T mention that STUPID game theory crap? Link isn't dead! There's nothing to speculate, HE'S NOT DEAD. Hyrule Historia even confirms it, Link isn't dead in majora's mask.
Nuggetmaster1000 And Hyrule Historia never existed until fans demanded it. Which came years after Majora's Mask. So explain why the characters of Termina are the exact same people from Hyrule just with different names? (Most of them) There are so many "coincidences" that it's hard to deny it.
And? That just means that Termina is in an existence of it's own. Essentially it could mean that Link is currently in the realm of the dead, purgatory, whatever because that is a parallel existence. It just furthers the theory.
Nuggetmaster1000 Woah what's with the hostility? Did I insult you? No I didn't. And it says they share a bloodline, not that Link is his son, which means he could be a relative like a nephew. Each Link is either a descendant or a reincarnation like the Link from Wind Waker. This means that Link doesn't have to be a direct descendant to be Link, just an embodiment of the one who came before him. Keep your insults to yourself.
After Anju and Kafei are reunited, they say, "We shall greet the morning... together." Basically they are OK with dying so long as they are with each other. On one hand, that's sweet. On the other hand, geez that's kind of heavy for what's arguably a kids' game. Also, let's not forget that the entire premise of the game is Link meeting three dead people and essentially impersonating them for significant stretches, without really even telling anyone that they knew that these three are dead.
Here's a little Idea that makes you wonder, doesn't the Link Statue look familiar to you? (No. Not Ben or Miyamoto.) What other character in Majora's Mask has weird eyes, and a big grin? The Happy Mask Salesman. You got to wonder, is it possible that Link has some connection to the Happy Mask Salesman? Both are Hylians that traveled to Termina in search of something. Both collect masks, both had a run in with the Skull Kid where they had something stolen from them and both have a taste in beautiful music on the most unexpected instruments to play music on in the area. (I know there's Mikau's band, but their instruments are just sea creature versions of your average instruments. Guitar, Bass, Piano, and Drums.)
I did not like what happenned to Romani had she been kidnapped by those aliens. There were too many suggestions as to what happenned to her, and then Cremia gets her drunk so she won't have in mind what happens after the final night. Getting locked in Sakon's hideout was terrifying and upsetting because not only did you fail, Kafei gets locked in there too. Can also be even more guilty if you gave anju the pendant too...
this game was so scary especially the beginning. the new physics and abilities(being able to do front flips when jumping) made the part where you chase the imp at the beginning so intense
So the elegy of emptiness is creepy for a lot of reasons the main one being that so many people found out ways to glitch the game and so the link statue has its head in weird crazy positions and its body is distorted... the same with all the rest of them.
There isn’t any game quite like Majoras Mask. I love Occarina of Time, as it was my very first Zelda game, and arguably my favorite, but Majoras Mask is special. No other game gives the same feeling as Majoras Mask.

The most creepy one for me is the moon's "surface" with the large tree and 4 kids running around it. Those kids eerily resembles the happy masked man and the animation in that area seems so different from most of the game.

The story behind it is
Monachus Bibe I Never Found the story creepy actaully helarious
Lyna Gucci So you find aka monto hilarious?
Monachus Bibe Yes XD
Lyna Gucci so you would enjoy a man ripping off your flesh until the blood stains your skin, or strangles you until your face turns blue, or a hand coming from the toilet and dragging you down to hell?
The reason link screams every time he puts on the mask.
Because it's painful
Not exactly, I know and knew the reason, it is just kind of creepy, basically, when link puts the mask on, he see's all the painful memories of the dead persons mask, so it is painful, but in less of a physical way, and more of a mental way.
@@44Dozer44 Seeing the original comment you posted made me assume that was the reason, thanks for clarifying.
The moon was a playground for those children. It was created to help Majora feel like it had friends, but those other four children ignored it.
the moon is the scariest thing for me. the first time i played it and looked up in the sky i saw that small, freakish moon glaring down at me from so high up. but on the 2nd day it got closer, and the 3rd day it got so close it would fill the entire screen. why does the moon look like that? why is its face human like? was a person turned into the moon? why does it shed tears? (probably because of torture), was majoras mask really the antagonist?
@@blazinglions9554It pretty much was being tortured from Majoras Mask which is why it shed a tear.
It's also depressing how the Deku Princess and the Butler's Son were a couple... Poor kid :(
uuhhmmm?, the manga for Ocarina and Majora aren't canon, so they were never a couple or any of that.
+Abimael “HandsomeDoggo” Diaz some elements from the manga are used in Hyrule Historia so technically they are
yeah SOME elements not ALL elements
When you talked about The Dawn of The Last Day, I got chills.

As a kid, i was fucking terrified of the first boss. The way he just danced after his attacks, the way he summoned his minions, the voicelines he kept screaming during the fight, the entire "Oath of Order" learning sequence. As a child, all of that was terrifying to me for no particular reason.
the "Final Hours" song, Haunting, Beautiful, and Saddening
and simply Perfect for what it is describing

I'll admit, the Happy Mask Salesman can be slightly unnerving with his mood swings, but not terrifying.

@@reneeharbek7863 Row-monee
The battle against Majora isn't scary anymore when you have the fierce deity mask, actually, it become quite anticlimatic...
Melanie L I was hoping they'd fix it for the 3Ds
Nah..
Well that's kind of the point.
Fierce Deity is supposed to be stronger than Majora to such an absurd degree. It's not supposed to be a challenge, it's supposed to give you the power of the gods.
It's harder to fight him as normal Link. And that's how it's "fun".
+Melanie L I didn't have the mask and I had only ten hearts. Also ran out of also when Majora reached his final form and I beat him
It's kind of a payoff for not only collecting all the masks, but Also for letting go of them.
If only the super fucking annoying Ben Drowned fans hadn't ruined this game for me.
Palutena i think half of my brain cells just comitted suicide
the whole creepypasta is based around a haunted version of the game

Shrimpy Um, O doesn't make the uh sound, but A will. He said Romani.
TheTerrarianDoge Ohh
My issue is that he kept pronouncing it "rOmani" when it should be "romAni", emphasis on that "ah"
Romani vs Ramoni...
I vote Romani lmao
Honorable 1:
This goes with the Romani sidequest, so why not just mention it? Also, how is it terrifying besides the fact that they are wearing the Garo Mask?
Honorable 2:
I found this to be more depressing, IMO.
However, I wanted to add my input on these points, saying why I think they are aren't terrifying or just that I agree with him.
batman88891 Actually I think the link statue was creepier in the original 64 game.
farrex0 Really? I mean, the wooden-ness of the statue pushed it more into the uncanny valley for me. The original statue just... wasn't creepy for me.
batman88891 Well for me the wooden texture made it more obvious that it was an statue, what made it creepy for me was it's look and grin.
Rc Brown What do you mean "some characters"? I don't see how this has anything to do with my comment...
What do you mean by "The Hand"?
When the last day, i trololol and play "Song Of Time" i don't dare to let the moon crash down. XD

Abimael Diaz Btw they actually made games off of BEN Drowned but it has absolutely nothing to do with Majora's Mask

God this is one of the greatest, most psychologically disturbing games of all time. I remember playing this when I was like 8... didn't really understand the beauty/subliminal messages back then, but even so the bizarre creativity and sheer terror you feel as if the world is truly doomed made this so enjoyable. Still can't decide if Link either died on his adventure looking for Navi (becoming a Stafalos hence the old warrior in Twilight Princess that passes down the sword techniques) or if he's alive and is experiencing the stages of depression.
who else fell for the jump scare with the moon

This game gives me the creeps every time I play it!! I honestly have no idea how they managed to make it as terrifying as it is... Most everything in the game is so unsettling. But that's why we love it! And honestly I am very much hoping for more of this creepiness in the next Zelda installment, Breath of the Wild!!

I remember being a kid and I was SO SCARED to face Majora. Just as a kid something about her freaked me out.
And looking back on it.. I get it..
Also the Boss "Gyorg" gave me nightmares
when I was a kid!
Gyorg is the Woodfall temple boss right? Of yes, then i totally relate. The screams he makes are terrifying.

TheMdub27 Gameinformer said a Nintendo rep said that the ravine seperating the areas can actually be explored... Would LOVE a boss fight there or creepy references to THIS game, in particular.

Not anymore lol
It's still the best
I think oot is slightly better. But it's still my 2nd favorite
But Majora’s Mask did it best out of them all
Why does he sound like he's reading a creepypasta lol?
The funniest part of the music house, when it's music plays, it reminds you a mario level in super mario 64.
I just recently finished Majora's Mask 3D. Definitely my favorite in the series
When skull kid is freed from the mask, I actually think he’s quite adorable
Final hour is number 1 for me. The music and atmosphere of terror that the world is about to end just sends chills down your spine
I was lucky that I was over ten when I first placed Majora's Mask. That game would have given my younger self nightmares.

I know this is 4 years old but the all-nights mask should’ve been on here! That mask is scary as shi..!
Edward Spiderfingers TERMINA IS A PARALLEL WORLD. For God's sake, the creators of majoras mask have been saying that for years!
And? That just means that Termina is in an existence of it's own. Essentially it could mean that Link is currently in the realm of the dead, purgatory, whatever because that is a parallel existence. It just furthers the theory.
Edward Spiderfingers No, dumbass. The link in twilight princess is majoras mask link's son. How would he have a son if he died when he was a kid?

I never found anything in this game terrifying xD. I thought it was all so cool as a kid and I still do.

There isn’t any game quite like Majoras Mask. I love Occarina of Time, as it was my very first Zelda game, and arguably my favorite, but Majoras Mask is special. No other game gives the same feeling as Majoras Mask.
