    I see a significant difference in my energy and happiness level when I take Internal Harmony, also made from yams, vitamins and herbs. It has saved me, twice in the last three years, from depression and exhaustion. I went off it over the summer and found myself a mess. As soon as I started taking it again I felt balanced and energized. Maybe it's the placebo effect, but I'm a believer.

      Me too! I love the stuff. Definitely works for me. I was surprised to hear that Nicki thinks otherwise. I've been using "Organic Excellence, Feminine Balance Therapy, Bio-Identical USP Progesterone Cream" for 3 months, and it has removed 90% of my anxiety, I feel happy and calm, and acne and greasy hair are gone :)

    If progesterone is good for so many things why is it not prescribed for women that have had hysterectomies? I realise there isn’t a womb to protect but outside of that there seems to be other benefits

    what a fantastic summary! Thank you :) I've been wondering about 'natural progesterone' creams and had a bit of an alarm bell going off in the back of my mind/ body/ intuition about those... so REALLY interesting to hear what you have to say about them! It's the first time I've heard someone talk about the fact that the body cannot absorb progesterone from the Wild Yam creams. So what do they do? Are they dangerous?

    Hi thanks! I have 2 bottles of progesterone cream, one is from imagine dermatology and it has : progesterone micronised usp from wild yams. Other one is from john lee: it says “ progesterone”. Are they any good?
    Also, I have dhea cream from biolabs pro and this has: bio identical dhea , is this any good?
    I started on these after having hormone levels tested. They are all “ within normal range”. But all on the low side and cortisol on the high side. I have had them reviewed by dr. Karen legget. I wanted her products, but they don’t send to my country.
    I would be gratefull if you would be willing to answer! Thank you!!

    I started a progesterone cream at ovulation and it helped with mitterlscmhertz pain. My fibrocystic breasts did not happen with this cycle. And the bleeding was way less than usual. I'm so happy. However, every day I took.the progesterone, I had brain fog and headaches. Will that subside? How long should I use it for?

      Medroxyprogeston is also used to thin a thickened cervical lining. Heavy and long bleeding will occur as the lining sheds. A pelvic ultrasound can measure the thickness of one's lining.

    Hi Nicki, this vid is quite old, but i'll ask in the hope you might reply, because what you said about the non bio-identical progesterone ingredients has me perplexed. The progesterone cream I get says "Progesterone USP" in the ingredient list, and has "natural micronised progesterone" emblazoned on the front label, it's made by, what seems to me, a reputable company, am I still slathering on useless gunk? By the way, not that this is particularly relevant or important, I'm a male who is using this, and will be using other bio-gynotrophic substances, in a DIY attempt to, as much as I am able, fully feminize myself.Thank you.

    • @NickiWilliamsHappyHormones

      Hi Ella, don't worry this cream is OK. It's micronised progesterone which is the Bio Identical form. I'm only talking about creams that don't contain this.

    Chasteberry aka vitex is the natural form of progesterone. Wild yam is NOT progesterone it’s actually estrogen.

    I bought a progesterone cream made with red clover extract and I see that it says wild yam extract too, so you are saying this won't work? I am 69 I get night sweats, I have osteoporosis , all the systems that come with menopause.

    • @NickiWilliamsHappyHormones
      @NickiWilliamsHappyHormones  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Suzie, if there is no actual progesterone in the cream, it won't work as it can't be converted in the body. Red clover is useful as a phytoestrogen to regluate oestrogen levels but it won't have any effect on your progesterone. There is one cream I know of that has a low dose of body identical progesterone, it's called Serenity.

    • @susanb6629
      @susanb6629 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NickiWilliamsHappyHormones The first ingredient says miconized progesterone, It doesn't say how much of the all the ingredients are in it. I will also look into Serenity. How safe is progesterone cream? Thanks for your help. I just don't know at this point what to do?

      @nickiwilliams7349 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@susanb6629 micronised progesterone is body identical progesterone, so that's good. It will be a fairly low dose, so it's very safe to use, and definitely worth a try. If it doesn't work, it may be that you don't need progesterone or that it's too low a dose. Definitely worth getting your hormones properly tested to know for sure. where are you based?
