- Testing out my new Fender American Vintage II 1954 Precision Bass through a UAFX Woodrow amp sim pedal and Origin Effects Cali76 Stacked compressor. Please excuse the sloppy playing - I haven't been playing much bass the past couple years and am out of practice!
Recorded direct into a UAD Apollo Twin. I added some light EQ, a tape sim, and a limiter to smooth things out. - เพลง
That’s a very nice sounding (and looking) bass!
Thanks for watching and for the compliment!
Sounding 🔥
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Hello, thank you for the informative video
I'm a bass guitar user and I'm interested in the UAFX pedal
I'm a gospel jazz bass user
I'm thinking about which one to put up, woodrow or dream pedal Can you recommend one?
It really depends on the sound that you are going for. The Woodrow is maybe not the best for those who want pristine clean tone. I have another video up with a Bass VI running through a Dream 65 - not a normal bass, of course, but it might give you some sort of frame of reference. I like a little "hair" on my bass tone, so if you are going for pristine cleans, you will want to keep the gain/volume knobs very low on both and don't use the boost knob. I was also driving both pedals with my compressor - if I had dialed back the input and output volume on the compressor, there would be at lot less gain at the level I had the Woodrow set.
Smooth!! Did I come with the bridge and PU cover?
Thanks! Yep, it came with both of those - I should put them on and do another video (I want to try this out through another UAFX amp sim pedal anyway).
@@ChristopherGwinn Nice to hear F give you the choice! I like it "naked", I was just curious if they added these for the people who like.
@@DjiDo Yep - comes with a nice vintage hard shell case, too.
Anyone tried bass through the Ruby?
I tried it but didn't record a clip before I sold the Ruby.
@@ChristopherGwinn But did it sound good?
@@redguitar6062 It sounded fine - depending on which cab you choose, of course. I can't remember which one I liked best.
