You know something? I never saw this film, but this advert would always play when I was watching The Land Before Time on VHS, this trailer always had part of my heart as a child and "I'm coming, papa!" was imprinted on my memory. I cry whenever I watch the trailer but feel like that part of my childhood would be crushed if I was to see the film as an adult. Don Bluth really knew how to break hearts and make us remember things that we didn't even know meant a lot to us.
they need to go back to making films like this for little kids again. i showed this to my younger cousins who are 3&5 and they LOVED it. they prefer it,to most kid shows that were made for today.
I love this movie. I recently brought it on Blu-Ray. I still have the DVD version which I still gonna keep. I had it for 10 years. As it turned out, it's my 10th Anniversary of me owning the DVD version.

I love An American Tail :) Even to this very day, this film highly holds up and is a really great film overall. To me, An American Tail is a huge timeless classic.
I've loved this movie all my life (even now at 22 years old), it's still my favorite non-Disney animated film, and definitely Don Bluth's best. I remember watching our VHS a lot as a kid, and I just recently bought the film on DVD so I and my future family can continue enjoyin' it for years to come.
When I was in retail a lady came looking for a movie as her grandchildren were visiting. I recommended a box of An American Tail and Fievel goes west. I really hope she bought it!

Most of what Cartoon Network shows is from the Turner library. This would be in the NBCUniversal library and that may be why it doesn't get shown too much...which is a shame because it's a reference to real-life pogroms in Russia at the time and antisemitism (Fievel and his family are mouse representations of Russian Jews).

I bought this movie on dvd from target since I had a gift card. to my dismay, it's a full screen version and not widescreen. I heard they remixed the soundtrack for 5.1. I grew up watching it on vhs as I was too young to see it in theatres. the success of that movie made me want to see land before time which was a sad movie.
Wow! This non Disney animation movie was so incredibly beautiful and wonderful back in the old days. I use to have it on dvd from 2003 and HBO one of those old summers. The music score by James Horner was remarkable that is sucked when he passed away in 2015. I hope I share this film with my child in the future.
An American Tail is a really great film, even to this day. I have it on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray. I show the film to my niece when I have a chance, this film deserves to be shown to a lot of people since it's a wonderful film people shouldn't miss out on :)
May be a kids' movie, but I think that it would also make a great teaching tool too for the little ones. The basic storyline for this refers to anti-Jewish pogrom at the time the movie is set, in the early 1880s, which is why the Mouskewitzes fled to the USA. I hate that they added/changed audio, as if that would make it "better." I really didn't see the point. But then, maybe if enough people complain, like with "The Lion King," they'll listen and release the original on DVD.

They should also use the Teen Titans 2003 animation. They'll meet Japanese teenage superhero animals to help guide them into the modern world. @Jordannadroj20 I think you may be thinking of 'The Rescuers' or possibly it's sequel 'The Rescuers Down Under'. There is also 'Geronimo Stilton' which was a book series and cartoon series about a mouse reporter and his photographer sister. Let me know if it's what you're thinking :)
To be fairly honest, I like this type of animation far better than the 3D stuff we have been seeing all these years..

@Jordannadroj20 I think you may be thinking of 'The Rescuers' or possibly it's sequel 'The Rescuers Down Under'. There is also 'Geronimo Stilton' which was a book series and cartoon series about a mouse reporter and his photographer sister. Let me know if it's what you're thinking :)
