I don’t know if you saw the portrait again after the memory flashback but the women on the portrait is NOT Moxies mom, they both have different dresses but similar shoes. I kind of hope that his mom is secretly alive but managed to escape with her families help and took a different identity because if Chaz can convince Crimson he’s rich his mom might be able to convince that she died from him but secretly had help from a shark. Saying this because there are so many sharks working for their family so I wonder if maybe one could’ve stayed underwater and helped her escape since then not showing her face seems like they’ll show her up again later, and with Crimson now upset at Moxie I wonder if they’ll show up again.

I’m pretty sure the dad would be able to just get the mom and not mistake her for someone else or have it be some switcharoo. As for how he was able to deceive Chrim, I think it’s cuz he name dropped Mammon in some way. But either way, I don’t think Moxie’s mom would leave Moxie behind with her dad intentionally. I was confused because I remember in the pilot Moxie said he was dreaming about his parents being murdered, so it clearly set up he didn’t get along with his dad but I thought it meant he didn’t like either of his parents. Must’ve been a retcon or a throwaway joke
its insane how much this backstory for moxxie was foreshadowed. its been getting foreshadowed since literally the very first episode of season one. theres so many things that make so much more sense now even down to small things about moxxie's mannerisms like his habit of calling blitzø "sir" despite blitzø never having asked him to do so. its very interesting how millie, the arguably most bloodthirsty of the bunch, had a wonderful and loving family, but moxxie, who was literally trained as a hitman and forced to kill as a child, is the *least* murder inclined of the bunch.

I understand Moxxie being hesitant and not the one bashing heads. But this was HIS episode, and all he got for him was his bite back to his dad. He wasn’t given a chance to fight for himself, its always Millie saving him. I loved the episode, I just want Moxxie to show off a bit.
Honestly, I think Moxxie will fight/kill his dad, just in a future episode. This one shows the first time he saw the embodiment of all his fears and traumas after 5 years or so of thinking he was totally free. The fact he was able to talk back to Crimson is already pretty impressive

The only issue I had with this episode is that, once again, Mox is a "damsel in distress" and Millie had to come to his rescue. It's like the team are scared to give him any character development
I said this before, but if I was Moxxie, I would've used the gun I had earlier in the scene were the helicopter showed up without my knowledge, and used it against my dad when we were in the dinner room together. But I'm pretty sure he didn't do that because one, he is forgetful in terms of him packing weapons as seen in season 1 episode 5. And even if he did know he had a gun, knowing Moxxie, he probably does still respect his dad as well, his dad despite what he did to him. And I'm predicting in a future episode if Moxxie does end up killing his dad, it wouldn't be because of what he did to him. But what he did to his loved ones.

Loved the episode...but the part I loved the most was getting to see 4 Hybrid Demons and possibly finally learning the name of the Envy natives
also don't know why, but I find it pretty ironic that Blitzo tried fighting Stu...a Half-Succubus
A very interesting Episode, very good quality, makes me really curious about what else is in store,
