he sang lead in several songs on each album since they signed with RCA in 1980 but it was RCA who suggested that Randy Owen lead vocal songs would make it to radio . . . Teddy Gentry also sang lead a few songs per album also
I love that song Jeff Cook thank you thank you for singing you sound so good that's mine and my wife favorite song in the world thank you Jeff Cook I'm praying for you buddy prayers going up
This is my all time favorite song & video in the world!! 🏆❤️🏆❤️🏆❤️🏆❤️🏆❤️🏆. R.I.P Mr Jeff Cook! Keep playing your guitar and singing up there in heaven ❤
Jeff you are missed so much Alabama has a hole in i's heart without you. I have you in my prayers daily. May God help you along your journey with Parkinson's disease.
Alabama is a wonderful band each one of them has a sweet loving heart & a voice. I’ve been enjoying their music every since I was old enough to listen to them.
The best Country band ever.3 talented musicians who brought the best to the people.Stay strong , Jeff, your guitar playing talent was so appreciated by so many musicians.
He can sing and he will always be with Alabama his bar in Gainesville Gainesville Alabama is a great bar to go to I have been there and I would go back again get well jeff
I wish Jeff did more vocals. I remember VIVIDLY him singing in the 1980s " What in the name of love have I done wrong?" Brings back many many memories.
Alabama came along as the Eagles were breaking up and after Tom Johnston left the Doobie Brothers fully in 77. This band and their music sustained me as I entered adulthood. I saw them five times in 1982 and all were remarkable shows. Like others, I never knew Jeff Cook was as talented a vocalist as he was a musician. As I have watched many of my favorite musicians pass away, the passing of Jeff Cook was more difficult on me than the death of Glenn Frey. Jeff can never be replaced.
I met you in Montgomery, Al in the eighties. We got to stand in line and get everyone’s autograph. I have loved Alabama ever since and have so many memories thanks to the music. Rest In Peace. ❤️
I have had a love for Jeff Cook since the first time I heard Alabama, back in the early 80's. I absolutely love his voice and the feeling he puts into each song. God bless you, Jeff!
Jeff could sing. He had a "trafitional" country sound in his voice. You could hear the passion of "the common man" in his words. We have lost a treasure and a true legend.
There will NEVER be another Alabama… they left a mark on this world, so great, that they will never be forgotten… It’s crazy to think, that 3 cousins who were once named wild country, would pair up with a rock n roll drummer “at the recommendation of his mother” and change their name to their home state of Alabama, thus paving a road of success, that led them to the country music hall of fame!
Oh my goodness I love Jeff's songs 🎵 he has some of the best songs I've ever heard he was so talented soo talented miss you my friend had the pleasure of working with them in myrtle beach sc way back in the day. I worked at Duffy's and you guys sing next door. I would have 2 shows a night with Toni us girls remember me Ann with long brown hair my son was special needs I knw you have to remember Randy . R.I.P JEFF 🕊 ❤
A country guitarist icon of the ages, Blessed Are Those Who Mourn, For They Shall Be Comforted, prayers to entire family and friends and colleagues, Rest in eternal peace , 🙏🎸🕊.
every album every cassette Jeff and Teddy always had a song they wrote . cant tell you how many hours of just drawing these guys in my drawing books: or leaving a baskets of cups i painted OZ characters or the red white and blue latchhook in 1986: ( Jeff Cook is no longer in pain: He's a "Angel among us " now watching over his family:
I' .Live near Cleveland Tennessee,,and sometime I pray to meet you , and just pray for your humble soul and your health. We all love you and your wife here.
I saw Alabama back here in B.C. Canada. IN THE MID 90'S . THE NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND opened for them. But buy the end of the night and 3 encores. They still didn't play one of my favorites . "I'M IN A HURRY TO GET THINGS " SORRY for the loss of (how do I say it) A brother, a cousin, and most of all a friend
@@amandabutler4934 if he is related to Jeff then very likely but I'm not entirely sure, I'd have to go digging through my family tree. Either way he is still family just for being in the band!
I don't know if there was a guitar player as clean and Jeff Cook during live performances. Just listen to the live recording of Tennessee River on their 25th Anniversary Double album. Wow!!

Just recently found out by tracing my family lineage that Jeff Cook is my 5th cousin. Kinda cool being related to a famous musician.
So does that mean that you are related to Randy Owen to
@@amandabutler4934 if he is related to Jeff then very likely but I'm not entirely sure, I'd have to go digging through my family tree. Either way he is still family just for being in the band!
So u r kin to Randy Owen because him n Jeff Cook n Teddy Gently r Second r third cousins
