Ok, the records on the river story. It was 1969. I was 9 and I was walking home with my 3 younger sisters from the fair in downtown Guelph. Ontario, Canada. On the way we crossed the mighty Speed River and I looked over and what did I see but a pile of 45s in the river. I couldn't believe it. Our house was only 5 minutes away, so I sent my sisters home and went down for some free records. Unfortunately I don't have them anymore. I think there were 5 or 6, 45s. The only one I remember is The Moody Blues, "Ride My See Saw". This has since been one of my favorite songs. And I have a confession...my 1st album was K-Tels 22 Fantastic Hits. I stole it from Woolworths in 1973. The next year I met an older kid that said he had 22 albums! I thought that if I had 22 records, I would never get tired of music. A year or so later, I hit 100. I was so proud. It's a very bad habit and I love it.
Always cool to check out these music holes in people’s homes. When my wife feels like I’m getting out of control, I can refer her to this video for reference.
Thanks Frank and many thanks to the VC for sharing their vinyl getaways(and CDs). Lots of memorabilia spread out in those rooms. Especially liked the shelves laid flat to flip through like in a record store. Cheers

Hi Frank, Great video as per usual. Grundig were a german audio manufacturer, now owned by a Turkish white goods company. In the 1980./90;s they developed the best active (amplified) speakers ever made but dropped them when Philips took control of the company and trned it into a Philips clone. take care.

I wasn't surprised to see a wealth of Zappa material in PipCos music room: PipCo is associated with Zappa as Zappa is wearing a PipCo t-shirt on the sleeve of Lumpy Gravy.
Hi Frank. I'm Pipco. real name Dominic Giovinazzo and I live in Toronto. Pipco is a Frank Zappa name he used that I have adopted. Some may notice the Zappa stuff around he room. @@Channel33RPM you don't have this cd. I did it as an independent and it was never properly released. Very non typical and Zappesque. Lots of real voices from family, friends, evangelists, ham radio ops having a verbal war on shortwave. I recorded their voices on a Friday the 13th with a full moon, back in 97. It will be an experience, if you dare. I can send it if I get an address. Cheers and happy spinning, Dom

@@Channel33RPM Absolutely! It's got a David Cronenberg feel to it. Anyway, rock on. Maybe someday I will participate in vinyl dens. My set up is part in my bedroom, part in our one year old's room, and another in the basement. You gotta do what you gotta do!
12:34 "General shit not welcome in the house." Hilarious!! My shit not welcome in the house fills a 10 x 20 storage unit.
I have 3 times as many CDs and I have records. According to Discogs, I have 671 CDs, one SACD, and 187 records.
Awesome
So you prefer still shots or a video? And can you recommend anyone in the San Francisco area that specializes in cleaning Bachelor audio caves?
Still shots please. They are easier to work with. Thanks!
The pronunciation of rega in the uk is "ree-gah" i use the updated version of the rp1 (planar 1) with the bias 2 cartridge also from rega, for a beginner setup, can't get amy better.
Inspiring
I wasn't surprised to see a wealth of Zappa material in PipCos music room: PipCo is associated with Zappa as Zappa is wearing a PipCo t-shirt on the sleeve of Lumpy Gravy.
Hi Frank.
I'm Pipco. real name Dominic Giovinazzo and I live in Toronto. Pipco is a Frank Zappa name he used that I have adopted. Some may notice the Zappa stuff around he room. I also have an album on CD from 2004, that I would love for you to hear. I can send you a copy if you are interested.
Love your channel
Thanks Dominic! That is very nice of you. What album is it? I am asking just to make sure I don't have the CD already.
Frank
@@Channel33RPM you don't have this cd.
I did it as an independent and it was never properly released. Very non typical and Zappesque. Lots of real voices from family, friends, evangelists, ham radio ops having a verbal war on shortwave. I recorded their voices on a Friday the 13th with a full moon, back in 97. It will be an experience, if you dare.
I can send it if I get an address.
Cheers and happy spinning, Dom

The first one, the shelves looked like Target. I actually got the same color. The look nice but very cheap feeling.
Great video Frank I would also love to hangout with you and buy you a beer if you are ever in the phx or San Diego area. Did you get a better copy of Ozzy?
Thanks Christopher! No, I have not got a new copy of the Ozzy yet... looks like Amazon canceled by 3rd order...
Frank
