That visual of Jey in Lyon is iconic, overseas crowds will always hit better then the domestic u.s. crowds because it’s a huge deal for a wwe show to come to them as it’s not a weekly occurrence like it is in the states and that gets taken for granted. Crowds abroad treat it like their wrestlemania and the crowds are insane as a result. I still remember wwe supershow at Melb or Elim chamber at Perth, crowds made that so enjoyable.
What got me into Wrestling as a kid was the Undertaker Vs Mankind Boiler Room Brawl Summerslam 96. My peepaw was watching it and I happen to walk by the TV & was glued. Been glued to Wrestling ever since. That’s why those 2 wrestlers hold a spot near to my heart cause they were the ones that introduced me to the wrestling world along with my peepaw.
Man this was awesome my favorite wrestler was Ultimate Warrior I'm from that era now I'm 46 and hadn't watched wrestling since my Aunt died back in like '05 but mannnnnnnn that Cody Rhodes storyline brought me back cause I grew up on Dusty and Dustin and watching now takes me back to those days and the excitement......if u don't or have never watched u will NEVER EVER UNDERSTAND!!!!
I like how this video is meant to showcase how wrestling is the greatest show on earth and half of it is about cm punk, say whatever you want about him but the man became a major cornerstone in the wrestling industry
I was introduced to pro wrestling in 2014 by my cousin and I’ve been a fan ever since. I went to two wrestling evens, WrestleCade 2016 and WWE Live 2018
Hey Ross I just wanted to say I’ve always enjoyed your content I use to watch wrestling when I was a kid but I lost interest in it when I got older but your channel actually got me back Into wrestling again during the pandemic era and seeing your reactions so thank for bringing wrestling back into my life Ross keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll always be a fan of you!
Was a fan since I was a kid. Stopped for like 20 years, but was pulled back in last December after going to NXT, and have not looked back since. Product has been top notch. The Royal Rumble though always makes me feel like i'm 5 again.
grew up with attitude era as kid, then kinda stop watching wrestling when it ended in like 2003 and only came back on big occasion like wrestlemania, but then covid happen and bloodline story got me hooked into wrestling once again, from then i think i havent missed an episode ever since..
I've been watching wrestling since before I can remember. Seriously. Some of my earliest memories are watching WCW with my dad, I would have been between 1 and 2 years old. Sting was my freaking HERO.
To quote Emplemon "Wrestling is the most popular and unpopular thing in the world." I couldn't agree more. I like wrestling, my dad introduced me to it when he watched back in 2003. I was only 4 so I didn't really pay attention to it but years later, I saw undertaker clips on TH-cam and was mezmorized. I started watching other clips from the attitude errand ruthless aggression era, and eventually watched Raw and Smackdown in 2011. Kinda sad that's the Era I started watching but I still enjoyed it nonetheless and I still do.
There is nothing like pro wrestling/sports entertainment. It is watched by nearly every country in this world and appeals to every kind of fan. If your six year old son is watching wrestling, your sixty year old father is also watching it.
I have been watching wrestling since I was a little girl in the WWF days…so when I see videos from back then with old matches lol I have to say I remember it. lol I remember times being legit scared when Jake The Snake use to put the snake on people’s chest yelling at the tv. I loved Big Boss Man, Bam Bam, Luna… that was the times I would sit glued to the tv…I use to have posters on my wall of my favorite wrestlers too… back then I thought it was real and enjoyed and believed what I was seeing. So i had a lot of years of crappy stories that looking back now are funny as hell..but I could truly appreciate the time and joy I had watching wrestlers from back then who some are sadly not around anymore… I may get mad and frustrated then stopped watching for a while but I’m always in tune with what’s going on. Now I’m all in and you can’t stop me from loving it!! I don’t care who keeps saying it’s fake, it’s gay it’s this or that…I love it, my son and my husband deals with me and that’s all that matters lol 😂 I stopped watching when Cena was doing its Thuganomics thing for a while but would pop in and and out. CM Punk was the one who brought me back when he was doing his Straight Edge Society run.. Funny enough I was wearing the t-shirt from that run yesterday. Love that man!
I used to wrestle back in the 90's. Had a lot of great times! Not sure how old you are or when you started watchin it but, The Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valient was my tag team partner. He's a super cool guy.
I love professional wrestling because jt requires real life strength but also a great script. You can’t fake John Cena giving 500lbs Big Show a FU but you can fake Undertaker returning from the dead, best of both worlds
My dad had a VHS tape; one about The Undertaker and one about Stone Cold Steve Austin. I watched the Undertaker tape and had been fascinated by him and wrestling since then. This was around 1998 and I was 8. Fell off wrestling around college, fell back in love with wrestling during COVID. Watching wrestling is part of my weekly diet. ❤
July 11th 2004 my 3rd birthday my late grandfather bought the Vengeance PPV let me watch it with him & i fell in love with it instantly sure i had no idea what i was watching since i 3 years old but i still loved it plus that was the same PPV where i watched my 2 favorite wrestlers of all time wrestle for the first time ever Triple H where he challenged Chris Benoit for the OG World Heavyweight Championship & Edge where he challenged Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Championship both PHENOMENAL matches Triple H failing to win back the title he was obsessed with at the time & Edge winning his 5th & final Intercontinental Championship
Yo, so I got into wrestling around '96, man. I was a WCW fan, didn't watch WWF until like '97. I remember watching Sting vs. Vampiro at the American Bash. I was only 10 years old, didn't know it was scripted. I was so hyped, yelling my lungs out until someone next to me goes, "Hey, you know it's fake, right?" I was like, "What?" She's like, "Yeah, it's all acting and drama." That's when I realized my love for wrestling. I was like, "Uh, okay, okay," and kept watching. Still watching to this day, bro.
I’ve been a fan of pro wrestling since birth. Wrestling has been on many of times because of my parents and older brother who put me on to it when I was young
CM Punk was the person that I can credit the most for keeping me into wrestling for the past decade. I was always waiting for him to return and ngl I cried when he returned to wrestling
When was i elementary school i thought it was stupid. My brother had gotten a poster from old wwf and i was y would u get that. But then i met my best friend her family and her were huge fans of it and i watched the hardy boyz ladder match with edge and christian and became hooked on. Only attended 1 live show tribute to the troops when they did it in norfolk absolutely loved it
I was probably 4-5 in the late 80s watching Macho Man and them ‘larger than life, comic book style wrestlers…’ like ‘yo… what is this?’ and probably about 10-11 when I started to actually understand the concept of professional wrestling, and became huge fans of Bret and Shawn… and I was in like just before high school when I found out about ECW the attitude era happened… so it all kinda lined up for me lol. Wrestling gonna be one of them things I’ll probably watch forever lol. We all have them times when we need a break from it, but we go right back to it eventually lol. Wrestling’s that thing, for me.
My wife would always watch DIVAS tv show and I’m like if you like these ppl , watch wrestling with me and now we go to live shows together and she knows everyone’s names and all the story lines , I’m so happy 🎉😂
I agree with that I've been watching WWE since I was 5 years old my dad got me into it when it was WWF my first match you took me to was Madison square garden undertaker versus mankind and I've been hooked on it ever since I still watch because it is a childhood watch it with my baby girls cute because her favorite wrestler is Bianca Bel-Air❤😊
I started to watch wrestling during the early days of the PG era, I think around 2009 or 2010. Then, I stopped watching at the start of the 2010's up until I started watching again in late 2014. I always look back on old wrestling clips from the 80's and 90's. Now I am 26 years old, it feels good to watch wrestling again. Sure, the years before Vince stepped down from his position were always not good and full of cringey and unfunny stuff, but at least we are living in a new era now.
Damn, I didn't realize so many people believed that professional wrestling was "gay". So is cinema gay? Are Broadway plays gay? A lot of movies are predetermined as well as plays. Connor McGregor...walk up to Ken Shamrock and say professional wrestling is gay. Ken Shamrock, an mma fighter who successfully crossed over into the world of professional wrestling. Imagine walking up to an Undertaker and saying "All that work you put in for 30+ years was gay." See if you aren't picking your teeth up off the floor. Imagine people telling guys like Bruiser Brody, Abdullah the Butcher, Iron Sheik that wrestling was gay. They'd drop you on the spot
I mean I think the biggest thing to prove it wrong is Brock. Shamrock went from legit to fake. Brock went from fake to legit to fake😂 and I am not saying fake as an insult like these idiots usually do
@@alarrim29574 I understand where you coming from. I just put Shamrock's name in it because he competed in mma. Whether real or fake he still possesses the skills to do real damage to somebody. As for real to fake, that man ate a unprotected chair shot from The Rock. This was back in '98 when Rock was just destroying people with steel chairs 🤣
It's not fake it's fixed..it's a wild combination of things normal people couldn't handle mentally physically or emotionally...it's an art ..I know I was in the ring on my way till covid happened then the school shut down...I'm still gonna end up in the business one way or another
I've been watching wrestling since I was a kid in the '80s. I still enjoy it. If you don't like wrestling, fine. Don't talk about it. You're wasting your time. I dislike things that other people like. I don't go on about it. I watched WWF which turned to WWE, WCW, ECW, TNA, now AEW(which gives me some NJPW, AAA and CMLL) and some WWE.
It's funny that today @Smallafro just posted a video talking about why he sometimes hates Pro Wrestling with some legit if outdated reasons and then hours later Ross reacts to why we all love wrestling. it's not perfect but today, it just might be, definitely is to me, the best form of entertainment in the world.
I first saw wrestling in 2008, it was a segment between edge and rey mysterio where vicky guerero was in a wheel chair😂. then i got into the video games svr 2009 then i started watching smackdown in 2009 during the jeff hardy cm punk feud i look back on the 2008-2012 era so fondly
When I was a baby in the early 2000's I would watch my older brother play WM2000 on N64 and he would pick Undertaker to intentionally scare the living shit out of me (legit). After that though he would show me people like Stone Cold, HHH, And The Rock but I for some reason fell in love with The Blue Meanie and DLo Brown cause of their funny entrances. Been a fan ever since. Won't ever look back
Him talking about Mania 40 man I was there I get emotional just being like that was my first Mania that’s a wrestlemania moment that will last a lifetime to be like yea I was there live during that moment when WWE when Avengers Endgame in that crowd absolutely losing my shit when people talk about it still gives me chills because legit one of the nah fuck that the best thing I ever saw live and all culminating with Cody winning was the chefs kiss my favourite thing I’ve ever seen live
I started in 2010 the first ppv to come at that point was the royal rumble I remember my first live show was a Smackdown the main event was Swagger vs Jericho vs Edge and I’ve still be a fan to this day through the good and the bad I never wavered
I remember becoming a fan during the ruthless aggression era, where edge was the one I hated most around 06-07 ever since then wrestling has always been apart of my life
once again another good video Ross i don't care what people say I love pro wrestling because sometimes it gets serious especially what comes the Stars bring up family of the other star Feud
Started watching wrestling back in somewhere in late ‘06 but was more in tune in 2007 and Smackdown was the first show I started watching first feud Batista vs Undertaker leading to Wrestlemania 23. I loved every moment of the ruthless aggression era even with ECW around I just fell in love as a fan. From SD to ECW and lastly Raw with Cena and HBK everything just made you feel like it was great be a pro wrestling fan. But I do miss ECW so much I wish Vince didn’t fuck it up and let Paul Heyman have all creative control of the show itself after the revival of the brand.
In the context of you @KickinitwithRoss, cm punks pipebomb promo brought you back to watching wwe again, I started watching it whenever Roman reigns turned heel
It took one match that got lil 2 year old me into pro wrestling. Umaga vs John Cena at the 2007 Royal Rumble. When I saw how much punishment John took and he still won, the man instantly became my all time favorite. Can't forget about Jeff Hardy, mans is the reason I tried to hit Swantons all the time lol
I've been a WWF fan since I was 5 years old, 36 years ago. Each era made since for my age. The early 90s and mid 90s were a roster of colorful characters. The late 90s was the attitude era with wild extreme violence and sexuality included. The 2000s brought us athletic stars from OVW, ECW, and WCW. The show wasn't hitting the same in 2005 for me, but I still watched. 2009 I HAD TO TUNE. It was terrible. Whenever CM Punk went solo again and cutting promos on Kevin Nash and Triple H, I only wanted to see what Punk would do, then I'd turn the show and do something else. Other segments grabbed my attention, slowly I got back into it. This is when I LEARNED about podcast audio downloads. I have to start with Damien Nelson and "Meathead" show Pro Wrestling Report. After them, I first either found out about Jason Solomon's Sound off Show or The Don Tony and Kevin Castle Show. The DT&KC podcast got me into my FAVORITE podcast... ... Wrestling Soup with Joey Numbas and Anthony "Missionary" Thomas. The podcasts REALLY wrestling to watch just hear what the podcasters had to say about the results and outcomes. Later, Jim Ross and Stone Cold had their podcasts that I really valued their opinions and stories from being in the business during the hottest wrestling periods. We all became spoiled fans with WWE Network which was perfect on it's own platform, except the subscription count. They're on Peacock. I didn't care it. Only watched the PLE and didn't care about anything else on the app. BUT NOW...WWE tv will be moving to Netflix - the only reason I will FINALLY subscribe to that app next year. No restrictions. WWE will be nuts. Plus the current mix with NXT and TNA?😮 😮😮
If any of those people (gay/fake) took a bump from top of a ladder or top top for that matter, they would be crying and complaining. Is it scripted yes….does it hurt yes!
If Drew v CM Punk's feud can be this awesome without a single match happening, then imagine how epic CM Punk v the Young Bucks would have been during the time that backstage beef was happening in AEW. That would've been insane
When did yall become fans of wrestling 🤔
Easy John Cena my Monday Night Raw debut
2017 Royal Rumble, atleast WWE. I started in 2015 HCW or Hungarian Championship Wrestling
2007. Thank you John Cena for getting me into pro wrestling 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Since The Attitude Era
2005 was when my family got introduced. Man I miss Ruthless Aggression.😌

MMA fighters calling it gay when they also grapple other dudes in underwear is hilarious
They say it's gay cuz of its scripted nature. .. but it's not gay.
@@khesipresents1885 Things are only gay if it's scripted I suppose? Someone better tell actual gay people, not sure if they're aware.

I'm a fan of pro wrestling, may not be a WWE fan anymore but I'll always be a (proud) pro wrestling fan.
5:25 Caught me off guard eith Baby Austin doing the signature pose and flipping the bird, lmfao.
It's the only thing apart from family that's given me happiness all my life
What got me into Wrestling as a kid was the Undertaker Vs Mankind Boiler Room Brawl Summerslam 96.
Look at ross man so inspirational 💫
Watching Wrestling for 26 years and he summed it up Real Well
I've been watching wrestling since before I can remember. Seriously. Some of my earliest memories are watching WCW with my dad, I would have been between 1 and 2 years old. Sting was my freaking HERO.
I've been a fan since birth😮💨
To quote Emplemon "Wrestling is the most popular and unpopular thing in the world." I couldn't agree more. I like wrestling, my dad introduced me to it when he watched back in 2003. I was only 4 so I didn't really pay attention to it but years later, I saw undertaker clips on TH-cam and was mezmorized. I started watching other clips from the attitude errand ruthless aggression era, and eventually watched Raw and Smackdown in 2011. Kinda sad that's the Era I started watching but I still enjoyed it nonetheless and I still do.
When Jeff hardy had an underrated rivalry with umaga so 2007 I still remember when Jeff won the wwe title in 2008 Armageddon ill never forget
So i had a lot of years of crappy stories that looking back now are funny as hell..but I could truly appreciate the time and joy I had watching wrestlers from back then who some are sadly not around anymore…
I may get mad and frustrated then stopped watching for a while but I’m always in tune with what’s going on. Now I’m all in and you can’t stop me from loving it!! I don’t care who keeps saying it’s fake, it’s gay it’s this or that…I love it, my son and my husband deals with me and that’s all that matters lol 😂
I stopped watching when Cena was doing its Thuganomics thing for a while but would pop in and and out. CM Punk was the one who brought me back when he was doing his Straight Edge Society run.. Funny enough I was wearing the t-shirt from that run yesterday. Love that man!
I don't remember having a certified no. 1 WM moment but WM40 main event takes the spot. Incredible Wrestling moment for me.
Seeing Wrestlemania 40 live was magical, especially seeing The Undertaker whose my favorite wrestler.
Pro wrestling is ART/LIFE ❤
PG era then took a break den started watching during Covid era again favorite moment was Apollo winning US champ
Been a fan since 2007.
Pro wrestling is just the best man. There will never be another spectacle like it.
The fact that you guys videos are always being used as clips on other videos lets you know that ya doing something right continue to be great ❤️🔥🤘🏽
It doesn't really matter what era pro wrestling or wrestling company you grew up watching we're all pro wrestling fans
What I find funny is that 98% of those taking a shit on wrestling wouldn't last 3 minutes in a wrestling ring.
“He beat Andre the giant with that move!!!!!!!!” - JR
It's not fake it's fixed..it's a wild combination of things normal people couldn't handle mentally physically or emotionally...it's an art ..I know I was in the ring on my way till covid happened then the school shut down...I'm still gonna end up in the business one way or another
I was born in 2003 and been watching wrestling and wwe for my entire life
I've been watching wrestling since I was a kid in the '80s.
It's still real to me, damn it ☝🏾
It's funny that today @Smallafro just posted a video talking about why he sometimes hates Pro Wrestling with some legit if outdated reasons and then hours later Ross reacts to why we all love wrestling. it's not perfect but today, it just might be, definitely is to me, the best form of entertainment in the world.
It was 1976 when I started watching WWF, NWA and AWA.
All those fighters in the beginning that had an issue with wrestling just for their company to want a partnership 😬😁
My dad showed me one Undertaker match and i was HOOKED
I first saw wrestling in 2008, it was a segment between edge and rey mysterio where vicky guerero was in a wheel chair😂. then i got into the video games svr 2009 then i started watching smackdown in 2009 during the jeff hardy cm punk feud i look back on the 2008-2012 era so fondly
Also old vhs tapes of ecw and new years revolution 2007?
Btw i was 8 so maybe i was a bit too young for all the blood i saw🤷♂️
Keep the grind going with these videos 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was a fan and I came back to wrestling after the cm punk promo
In the context of you @KickinitwithRoss, cm punks pipebomb promo brought you back to watching wwe again, I started watching it whenever Roman reigns turned heel
It took one match that got lil 2 year old me into pro wrestling. Umaga vs John Cena at the 2007 Royal Rumble. When I saw how much punishment John took and he still won, the man instantly became my all time favorite. Can't forget about Jeff Hardy, mans is the reason I tried to hit Swantons all the time lol
2:35 W pause 💯
I became a wrestling fan during the Attitude Era after King of the Ring 1998.
This sounds like a cm punk documentary lol
I know Right, he talked about WWE & CM PUNK than other wrestling companies
Ross with a appearance on wrestling flashback 🤟🏿
Right before the Attitude era 5 years old in 95
The irony of all those UFC guys saying that stuff about wrestling g years ago… and now they have merged with WWE into TKO 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣
Cm Punk coming back to wwe is one of the greatest moments of Pro Wrestling that has happen in the modern era
If Drew v CM Punk's feud can be this awesome without a single match happening, then imagine how epic CM Punk v the Young Bucks would have been during the time that backstage beef was happening in AEW. That would've been insane
Did anyone else start crying a little while watching or it was just me🥲?
