It would be really to cool to see a Tavor accuracy test using a bench hold to see what is the rifle accuracy performance independently of the operator!
The Tavor SAR's barrel has a 1:7 twist rate so it's able to stabilize heavier bullets such as 77 gr., but it's stilll able to shoot lighter bullets like 55 gr. M193s without causing overspin.
the problem is noslers are stupid expensive. Is there a reasonably priced good SD ammo like the 62gr fed fusion msr? One of the best SD rounds for the AR. I liked the sar much more than the newer variant. Biggest concern for me is malfunction clarances such as bolt over bore with non AR pattern rifles.
Tavor is very light in the front. I think it makes easier to anything disturb the accuracy because of that. You could also try to attach some weights in the from of the rifle to make these accuracy tests. It may be the case to completely change the shoot technique to get good shots with this rifle. Maybe you could try to keep a grip in the front of the rifle and pull hard to your chest to make theses tests too. The ergonomics of a bullpup may require a different technique. I think there's more explore in the Tavor.
Thanks for the suggestions but a grip isn't conducive to firing prone, even though it's a bullpup there's a few fundamentals for accuracy that stay the same. Especially if I'm pulling on a foregrip that would further disturb the accuracy since the barrel isn't free-floated unless I was able to guarantee I'm pulling exactly the same between every shot, it would result in vertical stringing of the group. It's a similar reason why I prefer not to do accuracy tests off a bench since they change the harmonics.
I didn't make a measurement of those 5 and I don't have the target anymore to check, but just based off the footage those shots would've been around 1 MOA.
My father has a TH-cam channel at www.youtube.com/@sdkweber where he mostly does reloading content. In the past he's tested this rifle quite a bit as well.

Shooting more than five shots per group? Heresy!
I've heard that because of the rifling heavier grain ammo tends to be more accurate in the Tavor SAR?

@@Feldmutze Ok. It would be cool to check what effect weights would cause to the groups anyway. Nice video.
First 5 shots with 70gr Nosler was sub MOA isn't?

Great video!
What were you wearing for various camos in this video?
Thank you! I was wearing a Splittertarn hat and Multitarn smock in this.
Interesting, you say that your father was getting sub MOA groups?
With the Nosler AccuBond yes, only caveat is those are 5 shot groups instead.
@ still, 5 shot groups are good.
Does your father have a TH-cam channel?
Is your father famous?
Is NutnFatncy your dad?
