The summoning ultimate does go for 3 turns and does scale with intelligence. So 3 turns of healing and 3 turns of damage for your party it's pretty good
Bones of the Necromancer is just the small little weak brother of Blood Storm of the Necro Family. The purpose of Hail Storm is more to freeze the ground than to damage the enemy. Enemies without ranged skills and a blink/Fly ability will either do nothing or try to move and get knocked prone. Getting knocked prone can happen to anyone regardless of their Magic Armor. That is the point of that skill. Remember, Hydrosophist is mainly a support tree. And if you curse that ice, they will be stuck frozen on that big ice area.
Summoning applies to every summon in the game. You really need to check out totems with 10+ summon score lol. Also I wish you also did ultimate spells like blood storm
Lot of inaccuracies and oversights here. Mortal Blow can Backstab, all Storm-type ultimates last several turns, and anything that summons scales to the caster's Summoning tree
@@LixxLixx he pointed out 3 oversights, but really, if you count an oversight for each Storm type ult, then it's 6. So, he only got 4 ults right, out of 10. I'd say that's definitely "a lot" of inaccuracies.
Yeah these are things we should know. I think its just annoying that necromancer nor intelligence scale with the totems. Of course summoning does, yes mortal blow backstabs but dude this was a showcase of what these skills are like. None of these numbers are relevant because this is taken from a random point in the game with who knows what builds he's using. He's just showing what the abilities do, like how the execute on Mortal Blow works. Not all storm spells prock more than once. Hail storm. Our man's mentioned the 3 turns from thunderstorm as well. That is the point of this video you fucking moron. Are YOU why there are ranger guides on youtube??
My first playthrough taught me that Ethereal Storm is a fantastic spell. It has a very large AOE and most importantly persists for 3 turns. So it all but guarantees that your characters will not die for 3 turns while also blasting the enemy. I've found it incredibly useful, raining death on clusters of enemies while focusing down a single target elsewhere.
A few important things to note: Most of the elemental ultimate spells are AOE, so if you can for example teleport enemies close to each other you can deal a lot more damage to them in total. The Thunderstorm hits with basically "Dazing bolt" on every target, it has decent AOE so if enemies are in range of eachother's AOE they get effectively hit multiple times every turn. Same goes for Meteor Shower, it is absolutely devastating on large bosses or even a group of human targets(fuck magisters) since it is multiple fireballs in the small area. Just make sure to not cast meteor shower on a roof that's hanging on top of the target(s). *The big downside to fire and ice damage is that if you burn a body or kill it while its frozen, you cant use source vampirism on it!* You pointed out the Ice Breaker after Hail Storm, which is right as long as the hail storm isn't cast on top of fire surfaces because that would result in less ice. In general it is not beneficial to have a hydro and pyromancer casting their spells in the same target because they cancel eachother's effects out. I currently have a tanky battlemage with pyromancer and necromancy skills and a supportive mage with hydro and aero set, mostly focusing on aero for the potentially incredible damage output(and the fact that less enemies are resistant to air according to my experiences) You can also combo Overpower very nicely with Fortify and Reactive Armor(AOE Phys dmg based on current Phys Armor of caster). And if your weapon has cleave, it is applied to all of warfare's weapon skills, so keep that in mind with Onslaught as well. A few misc. things to add: Pressure spike is great for clearing (regular) fire from under your teammates, as it does damage only to enemies and costs 1 AP. There is a unique staff in Arx that grants the Tornado skill, has 3 rune slots and +3 int to boot, GET IT! Tornado clears even necrofire which makes it invaluable in bossfights and you can add Giant Water Runes of Power(water dmg and +3 int) so it totals at +12 Intelligence!
@@chipskylark5500 Yes there is. It's called "Overpower", and can potentially strip a target of physical armor and deal a massive amount of damage, but it's only a single target ability. You can read more about all of the skills by going to one of the wikis, you can find them by searching for "DOS2 Warfare skills".
Are you sure Mortal Blow works that way with the 20 %? The way i understand it from the description it instantly kills an opponent if his health is below 20 % before you carry out the Mortal Blow? I think the dude died because he had 1489 hit-points left (with physical armor) and you simply did a 1547 critical attack? I have stuck with daggers drawn instead of Mortal Blow for this reason and because Daggers Drawn does not require you to "waste" Chameleon Cloak in order to get the most out of Mortal Blow.
One question As i play necromanzer who loves to summon that bonespider thing. As it does not require a summon point... does it grow on dmg if i take points in summoning as well.. as for now i just put points un necro
Pretty sure Ethereal Storm and Thunderstorm is just multiple casts of Dimensional Bolt and Electrical Discharge, thus scales the same as those two spells.

NOt to mention you need more memory and limited use per battle. Btw does tactical difficulty lower your attack? I''m playing in classic and get around 1k damage using normal skill
try putting thunderstorm on all 4 of ur characters and late game when u get the skill to refresh ur cooldowns u can cast that spell twice in 1 turn x4 thats 8 fucking thunderstorms in 1 rotation multiply it by 3 turns each 24 thunderstorms > your enemies r permanently stunned, meanwhile u can heal and fortify your people or re position them
You can combine a elemental book with a non elemental skillbook to get hybrid skills. If you do that with one of them being a source book the result will be a Source skill. Blood Storm would be one of them, and also costs 3 Source points.
I don't know if there is a recipe book for the skillbooks, but you can look them up in the internet. It's 1 elemental skillbook + 1 non-elemental skillbook. And if you use a source magic skillbook (1 is enough) you can get the corresponding source magic hybrid book.
+Zachey McZachFace Necromancy is really cool, you can summon huge boney spider to fight for you, decay enemies so they cannot heal, heal through blood, raise a corpse and lots more. Summoning is for summoning totems and your incarnate. Then that incarnate can be buffed with other skills. At max summoning lvl, small incarnate becomes a champion. Big, devil-like creature. Looks great.
Thanks so much for the replies, makes me excited to check this out, I was already intrigued by the idea of getting to play an undead, add in minion classes which I love and this might just be my favorite game of the year XD
This might be the best RPG of all time mate. Its not a term i throw lightly. If not best then top 3. Ive played almost every isometric crpg from 90's onwards with Fallout 2 being my favourite. This is truly special.
+Zacchey McZachFace Just so you know, you can have one active summon at a time per party member, but you have have more than 1 totem. So for example, one summoner might have an Incarnate Champion OR a Bone Widow out, as well as multiple elemental totems. Totems attack automatically and summons are controlled. They get to go right after your summoner so you'll always have at least one turn with them. I think Summoning is one of the strongest trees in the game. If you enjoy that style, I think you'll like this game. Just remember you'll only be able to have one controllable summon on the field at one time.

you go Mortal Blow sneak behind enemy and then use it.. instant kill ^^ .. you did it before the fight began.. then the npc have more defens stats and you have less dmg on them. and your sebile walking with no pants
bone totems alone are pretty pathetic, but if you combo it with some one other it can be game breaking, i myself have high fines ranger and when having tough fight, i just arrow storm kill 4-6 guys first turn, next turn summoner creates bone totems + encourage. all totems hitting +400's and pretty much half hits boss if there is one around, if not the totems kills usually 1-2 more enemies.
btw at that level u should have 70% crit on warrior, hot head talent 10% crit, x2 giant mastercraft on your neck +24% crit on neck, +3 wits on weapon with framed runes. then with savage sortilege all your skills will crit

how high your 2 handed skill is on your warrior ? a friend of mine uses onslaught (lonewolf) 60% crit rate 40 strenght 10+ 2 handed and deals like three time the damage you dealt there :o
I think a lot of these are a little underwhelming to use a finite resource like source, I'm okay with then taking up more memory but the fact that a lot of these are situational and not even that great doesn't warrant source
Or throw a pyramid at the source fountain then 1 fight and go refill.. The game is really making ppl prepare b4 u even fight instead of making ppl fight with what u had alrdy..buffs can be pre apply to save AP..although i think its really a bit OP
