      thanks dude. hoping to start making a few more how to vids, keen for thoughts on what vids to make?

      A bit more effort, and time, you may not have it, so no worries if you don't, but a parts list would be good.

    I’d like to hear more of what the kid was saying. He seemed to be making some good really good points. All in all, fascinating video👍

    Hello,
    is this also possible for fpv race drones?

  • @theyeetus1428

    do you think this would work with an rc car?

  • @russellblack9476

    Thanks, but how do you actually put it together. Are the components just velcroed to the back of the panel. Its easy to buy all those parts, but how the hell is it attached to the tripod? Thanks.

    It’s hard to find that rmrc receiver. Do you know a place that sells it?

    Do you have to fly at a high altitude ? Will the 1.3 penetrate the trees and ground clutter?

    • @KING-ld6fq
      @KING-ld6fq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes it will but 5.8 won't

  • @mountaindewdude76
    @mountaindewdude76 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was real good! I'm planning on basically the same setup but instead of your patch antenna, I'll be using a 5 turn helical. I just wasn't real sure how to place the components but, after watching your video, the setup should be very similar. Thanks for sharing!!

    Is it okay to directly connect the reciever to the monitor? Or it must be connected to the eagle eyes?

  • @thelongranger55
    @thelongranger55 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I use 5.8 & I mount my rx on top of my 2 story home 50 feet off the ground and I fly from inside my house it’s awesome

      The LongRanger how do you put the transmitter that far away?

  • @kerrycorcoran4885

    Could you show a wiring drawing of how you made the video out (from the Eagle Eyes) to the 5.8Ghz vtx?

    • @rcdc5762
      @rcdc5762  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can do soon but all you need to do is plug a AV cable into the eagle eyes video out. Then cut the other end and solder it to the video in wire on your VTX

    How well does the Eagletree system switch antenna feeds? Do you see a definitive blip in your goggles or is it a pretty smooth transition?

    • @rcdc5762
      @rcdc5762  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its good. put it this way, its far better than having your video slowly crap out because your flying out of the beam :)

    so, the 5,8 link is to not disturbe the 1.3 link with your UHF RC transmitter?

    • @rcdc5762
      @rcdc5762  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hi ya. no its fine. no issue with the 5.8 and 1.3. there frequency is to far apart and the 5.8 is only 25mw if that helps. cheers

    • @rcdc5762

      nope, works with any flight controller, dont even need a FC. just needs a video signal to work :)

    Do you think it’s possible to place the two receivers (for me 2 times 5,8ghz receiver) like 20m apart? So, receiver one right next to the EagleEyes and receiver two 20 meter away from the EagleEyes.

    • @syberphish

      mine are 50ft apart using a/v cable.

    Did u say it can reach 20km if so please show me how to do it. I'm very interested and need some thing like this. What ever the cost. Let me know please

    • @rcdc5762
      @rcdc5762  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep i have done 21.8km with this so far. you will need basic soldering skills to build this but its not hard. let me know if your happy to solder. I could always build you one if the shipping does not make it cost to much for you. I am also keen to build planes for people if that want a full setup.

      not with 2.4 but if you add 433mhz radio like EZUHF or Dragonlink it will. check out this vid for instructions on a 2.4 to 433 ground station. let mw know if you need any more help. th-cam.com/video/iQrrSXUaw10/w-d-xo.html
