Virtually any acid will remove rust; oxalic, phosphoric, muriatic, sulfamic, citric, even vinegar. Depending on strength (PH), rust may dissolve in a few minutes or several days.. And the raw metal will then flash to surface rust, which can be prevented by washing the just-cleaned tank out with a few spoons of baking soda in a couple of quarts of water. Great videos buddy brings back a lot of memories
Today on a Triumph Street Triple and remember back in the days when i owned the first bike, a used Honda CB125 K5 from 1973. It never ever worked properly and i think todays bikes are just great. My dad and his dad was growing up with a BSA and a Norton and for them that was big bikes to the day i showed my own old dad my Suzuki Hayabusa. He thought it was a spaceship. 😄👍
These bikes are very fairly priced when you consider how much they're worth after a little work. Take a look at our other videos and youll see we bought one of Jems bikes for ourselves. 😁
I think that yellow DT isn’t a 250 coz the exhaust goes the wrong way, and it’s physically smaller, maybe 175,but it does look like a 250 tank on it. I’ve got a couple of 250’s
Great video. I was hoping to see the Green DT3 Enduro running, it's the same as mine! Mine was running until it seized on the way back from the Falkirk Easter Run. It was running perfectly for a few years until then. I will need to do a post mortem on it. Their was oil in the tank and the gearbox, maybe the oil pump stopped working.
Patina my Arse. These Bikes are Classed alongside Brough Superiors and need to be Restored back to Showroom. Get it back to pure Factory because Patina only applies to 1930's Bucket Fords.
Noticed the gsx400 if I'm right? But the engine looks identical to my 1982 gsx 250ez. Tax and m.o.t exempt and a really nice bike. Also have a 2000 reg ex show bike gsxr600 show bike as the things full of the bits that where the money is and condition, only done 30,000 odd which is really low mileage for one of them. Lovely bike collection
Man has to think back in the days of those bike man didnt have dirtbike shops on every corner plus people were poor abd they made what they had laying around work to their advantage like the sock on the air filte lmao
I guys, great videos, I restore a lot of bikes myself, at mo I’m restoring a gl1000 goldwing and a gt380 Suzuki, keep the good work up.
Thanks Gordon. 😁👍
Great to see real bikes of this era. It really does bring back some good memories.
Late 70 early 80s Suzuki products make me feel young again. That isn't an easy task.

We don't know how lucky we are to live in the age of reliable (ish) bikes eh?
