The quotes to avoid, "As good as new" it's either new or it's used. "Box never opened" that means they bought it at full price and want to make money by reselling it overpriced.
Thanks Brian, lots of great advice. I see so many bad options out there on the online markets, and there are definitely bad actors trying to sell junk for cash and then ghost you once you have gone home. A lot of time the people selling just don't know the fair price for what they are selling, so don't feel bad about offering what you think something is worth, regardless of what the person is asking.
a rule of thumb I've always used when wanting a pc for gaming, is cpu +mobo price should be the same price as the gpu.... not always the caee but should avoid bottlenecks.
I buy a lot of laptops for my shop, been looking around while in lockdown & I see 100's of these so-called gaming rigs on the likes of Facebook, eBay & gumtree, and selling for really silly money, makes my blood boil when I see the spec and not giving a damn about ripping people off. Unfortunately, most people see gaming machine and think great that will be ideal for my kids, After the kid has pestered for the last six months to play the latest PC games with his friends, Then gets disappointed when it lags out ore will not play correctly, As you say do your homework, check the specs against games minimum playable spec's, most will struggle to play, thanks again, very worthwhile video as always.
Currently looking for a gaming PC and that‘s what I‘m afraid of lol. I know nothing about PC components, been getting into it and asked some friends but it‘s exhausting having to ask every single detail, asking people if it‘s overpriced or not
Thanks for the tips. I'd being getting spammed by Spartanoutlet to buy one of their i7 refurbished PCs which looked quite good value. However on checking the actual i7 processor installed (as suggested in this video), it's 10 years old which puts things in a new light.
I bought a HP6000 small factor business PC on eBay for £30 including post and packing. It was loaded with Windows 7 but I upgraded it to Windows 10 for free. It had 4 Gb of ram but I found that one 2 Gb card was faulty. Upgraded to 8 Gb now and it runs like a dream although I'm not into gaming.
$recycle.bin and some other files entered my android mobile through an external hd OTG. Now my external hd is shown empty or inaccessible at times. Another day I inserted in a OTG pd in my android mobile and same thing happened to it. Also free version of Malwarebytes was not able to detect any thing and formatting the android mobile was not helpful. Can u suggest some thing that will work.
Brian. I'm about ready to build a new computer from scratch. The one I have now is really old and getting a little slow. Budget will be around $2000 USD (1644.53 euro) I can go $250 over budget. Main uses: For VIdeo editing, video streaming and simple gaming i.e. chess and online gaming. Nothing hardware intensive. I prefer an AMD cpu build and a decent motherboard with a beefy video card that will handle my needs. At your leisure, could you possibly do a build that will fit those needs or perhaps suggest all new hardware that will get me there? Thank you.
Thax for the upload. Is it safe to buy a used Dell Optiplex with a SATA HDD that has been used for about 10 years in an office environment? I have read that these HDDs especially in workstations are more durable than those on regular/home PCs but no one says how to judge these in advance when a return of the purchase is not possible. A SSD from workstation can easily go above 20 years of lifespan but HDDs? There is no description in these Dell models` broshures online who is the manufacturer of the HDDs, how they are graded so one can calculate roughly expected lifespan.
Read the description and Cross reference with google for cpu ram graphics card for example. Do waste time and money if your going game, high resources applications. To each their own.
Thank you very much! I am going to buy following PC from 2020 for 390€. (gonna try to reduce). And I make all testes when buying. What do you think? What if you're not sure about the proper framerate for games? Like if I were buying a computer as long as it's playing the games I want where I can play them without the game being sluggish, crashing the machine, or other issues? I wouldn't know what the proper framerates to look for.
Hi britec by mistake I merged my C drive and system reserved partition and now the system reserved partition shows unallocated space. But I want to seperate C drive and System reserved partition without data loss. i have legacy windows 10 20H2. Please make a video regarding this problem
This video will one day come in useful. When I'm not completely broke haha.
lol
