Cargo holds are looking phantastic. Adds a lot of interest to every airport scenery. Well done Guillem!

Thank you very much! I hope I can make a diorama someday soon, I can't wait to see these doors opened as well as those for the galleys with the livery on and all the vehicles around, I hope to start my KLM diorama soon :)

Fantastic work! I thought I'm the only crazy one :D I put sound, all the animated lights, rotating motors (need to do a video). But this is insane! Amazing works. thanks for sharing!!!

Thanks so much for your very kind words! Your project sounds awesome! Looking forward to that video! Please share it with us when time permits :) These days I am thinking of making like a small round "circuit" with those type of magnet rails (train models) just to see the aircraft models go round and round, haha

Thank you very much Frank! It was quite tedious to make those small details to keep things in scale, but after all this long time, I am glad to see them assembled, hopefully soon with the KLM colors :)

Thank you very much! I most certainly like to do it, I think the cargo holds for the B777 will be made at the same time I make a B777F deck set as I would also like to do that :) so I may take the chance to work on both

will you make the cargo holds for other aircarfts like the 747-8 Freighter and other freighters aircrafts ?

Hello! Thanks for your comment! Yes, Actually the 747-8F cargo details is on the making now, hopefully in the next update at my blog (www.rocastmodels.com) I will be able to share the first steps (I actually started this a couple times). It will be much more than the cargo holds though, the 747-8F will also feature a detailed main deck with the nose door and side door opened and it will be made having in mind places for LED lights. Also, a 747-400F version will be made, for this purpose winglets and engines used in the -400 variant will be produced in order to be used with 747-8i/-8F kits as a transformation set.

Hello Pascal, thank you very much for your comment!
This video is actually from the older version of the cargo holds, I have done a new version which is not available yet. The cargo holds will be released at the same time for the realease of the new B787 galleys.
You can see the new cargo holds (and some B747F stuff) in this blog post: www.rocastmodels.com/2023/05/07/new-update-part-1-of-2-b787-b747-8f-projects/
As I am building the galleys (and uploading the process videos) I will also share the installation of the combination galley/cargo hold.
At first, I am not sure if I will include the LED's in the kit, it is very possible that yes, I will, because LED's are usually sold in quantities and only one per cargo hold is needed.
There is also a full page dedicated to the LED connection with schemes and explanations.
Hope to upload more videos soon, I am currently working on a new video with more progress on the B787 galleys.

Beautiful, Guillem. How did you get such clean cuts on the doors?

    • @rocastmodels
      @rocastmodels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thanks Al!! I did use thin sewing nylon thread, I started off by drilling a small hole at the corner of the door and then slided the thread through it, then I moved it up and down as it if was a regular saw, I did record that so I will be uploading a video once I complete the instructions :)
