What NEEDS To Happen In The Second Miraculous Movie

- So, we don't really know how well the first Miraculous movie did. The stats are unclear due to it being bought by Netflix to distribute in most countries with a limited theatrical run. So, maybe it will get a sequel. And so today we talk about a potential Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir 2. And the way the story should be told.
One thing I want is for Adrien to meet Master Fu not make Adrien wait till it’s too late

@@Darius-n6m yeah it was kinda one of my main problems with the show. Marinette was always the main focus of the show even though Adrien is the one that show is centered around. Adrien was the catalyst for the main villain and for Marinette becoming a hero in the first place. It was Adrien’s existence as a sentimonster (even though I hate it) that caused Adrien’s mother to end up in the state she’s in and Gabriel to go after the miraculous but Marinette gets to know more about the miraculous than Adrien. Master Fu didn’t even consider training Adrien or even have Adrien meet Fu till Marinette convinced him otherwise. I just want it to not happen again.

It would be cooler if Adrian took the miracle of the turtle and gave it to Nino, his best friend, as Marinette did for Alya.
But then Master Fu lost his memory, and because of that, it was so late to train Adrian.

The one thing I want in a potential Miraculous movie 2 is Chloé going through a redemption arc. They can use the Season 2 as their blueprint to add in Alya, Nino, and Chloé into mix. But yeah I hope Jeremy gives Chloé a good redemption arc along with developing her rivalry with Marinette.
I would like to see that too.

He's already laid out the ground work as Chloe is just kind of a bully in the movie and even seems to soften up a bit in the end.

Ideas for 2nd movie:
- introducing Rena rouge and carapce in movie through newsposition (exposition through the news
-introducing new powers for ladybug and Cat Noir
-fleshing out time for Adrien to acknowledge that he no longer has his parents with him and his mental health worsens, which might affect his relationship with Marinette
-Have Natalie play an auntie role for Adrien
- Chloe with a hero/anti-hero arc and maybe give her a story to where she wants revenge on Mayura
-give Chloe a closer relationship with her butler (there were moments in season 1)
- introduce Felix at the end of the movie, as the potential new villain/ anti-hero
Hm, these sounds like some good and very interesting ideas, i like them.
Although, why would Chloe want revenge on Mayura?
With Natalie she can see that Adrian’s health is worsening because he has no parents so she wants to wish for Emilie back and take her own life for Adrian’s happiness! Instead of how Gabe isolated himself, she will be there for Adrian more(ex: have dinner with him and talk with him about the struggles he may have)

Honestly, I hope they go the anti hero route with Chloe in a potential second film. I'm part of the camp who preferred she got a redemption arc in the show instead of going full villain. I mean, I get what Thomas and the crew were trying to do with Chloe, but frankly, Chloe was much more interesting as a mean girl turned less mean. Plus, her transformation music was much better than Zoe's.

Only thing I want is for Chloe to NOT be done dirty. Hell her relationship with her Parents could even be a focal point of the movie with Audrey being worse than she is in canon and this causes Chloe to utterly snap and rampage across the city with Ladybug and Cat Noir trying to get through to her and help her.
Maybe there can be a scene in the sequel where she finally stands up to her parents?

I’d like a Chloe redemption arc, that’s something the fandom has been wanting for a while. Another id like would be to see how Adrinette interact now that they know each other’s identities and are dating. Like, I don’t want them to focus on the dating but maybe just a few scenes where they’re being cute? I’d love that. Also, a bigger focus on Alya and Nino would be nice too ‘cause I love ‘em a lot !

I'd absolutely luv if Zag gives even a hitch of the development Chloe had which Astruc diminished it would def in my opinion enhance the story
Well, the movie is Jeremy Zag's reimagining of what Miraculous tale is, so while it does have some of the basics of the tale, it has taken a 180° divergence from the rest of the tale leaving it as a your-guess-is-as-good-as-mone possiblities.
So let's rule out what we know so far and merge with what could be:
*1.* *Gabriel is defeated* - The first movie was the rise and fall of Hawkmoth. So the whole 'Hawkmoth to Shadowmoth to Momarch' transition is cut out so diverging the story away by like maybe 75% I guess as majority of the time the story involved Hawkmoth and akumas, so no Hawkmoth, no akumas which leaves a blank canvas to the story plot now.
*2.* *The Butterfly Miraculous retrieved* - At the end of the first movie, the butterfly miraculous was returned to Master Fu leaving only the butterfly miraculous, so there won't be another butterfly villain rising, but will there be a butterfly hero rising as Master Fu has the butterfly miraculous now.
*3.* *No Love Square situation nor dragged out reveal* - The first movie ended with not only Marinette and Adrien becoming a couple but also an identity reveal so that won't be dragged out any time soon (Thank Kwami for that). So there won't be bringing the two together won't be part of the plot but testing the strength of the bond might.
*4.* *Probably no sentibeing theory maybe* - In the movie, Gabriel found the Miraculous after Emilie's passing but we don't know if how Emilie found the peacock but in the cameo of her wearing it while in her resting place, it didn't appear cracked or broken and Gabriel didn't try to force Adrien's will during the final battle so that's out.
*5.* *No Secrets* - Ladybug and Chat Noir met Master Fu at the same time as heroes, so there won't be much of a rift of one knowing more than the other.
So this is what we know is cut out, so let's list the possibilities:
*1.* *Mayura, the villainess of emotions: the rise and fall?* - At the end of the first movie, we heard a monologue that Gabriel had revealed the secret of Emilie's location to Nathalie meaning that up until that point she wasn't in the know about Gabriel being Hawkmoth but with that and the cameo of Emilie wearing what appears to be the peacock miraculous, this is setting the stage for the Rise of Mayura.
Now, Gabriel getting the butterfly miraculous in the movie was different from the show, so whether or not Nathalie knows about the peacock will be revealed in the sequel with her rise as Mayura.
Whatever will come with her being Mayura is a mystery.
*2.* *Miraculous 2: The battle of Emotions* - The first movie tested if Marinette and Adrien had what it takes to work together as Ladybug and Chat Noir, now the sequel could test if their bond can withstand Mayura's mind games of emotions as well as the facing the reality that the two of them alone won't be enough with the introduction of new heroes to help.
This will test their interactions with the heroes and their emotions of doubt or jealousy which may be used against them.
*3.* *Enter Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee* - Season 2 introduced us to Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee who joined the miraculous team. While the show had Marinette pick them, the movie is an entirely different story all together which questions whether Master Fu will choose them this time or trust Marinette and Adrien to choose them together as they know each other's identities.
Alya and Nino may be a unanimous agreement as hero candidates as they are the ones Adrien and Marinette trust most so Rena Rouge and Carapace arriving first is probably a no brainer. Although it'll be interesting if Adrien and Marinette give the miraculous separately or together.
Alya and Nino don't seem so lovely dovey in the movie as they are in the show so the whole 'we don't keep secrets from each other' situation probably won't be a problem.
Chloe may be a different case for different reasons.
In the movie, Chloe is a more high maintenance popular girl than a malicious bully and it seems that by the end of the movie, she and Marinette have established a kind of frenemy dynamic where they have a civil respect for each other but Chloe will try to get on Marinette's nerves now and then.
It doesn't appear that Chloe has that Ladybug hero worship going on nor an infatuation with Adrien, so it looks like getting her to cooperate as Queen Bee may be like telling her to get her hands dirty for the first time which will be hilariously difficult.
She may also be a bit of a diva for the spotlight which you can guess how much of a challenge it will be.
Whether they'll bring in the issue with Chloe's mother we will have to wait and see.
*4.* *New level of Teamwork* - The sequel may introduce the challenge of transition of working as a team of two to a team of five. Ladybug and Chat are now working with Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee and that will come with its own challenges.
I wonder if Master Fu will introduce himself to Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee to reason with the five heroes to work together.
*5.* *The Sentibeing theory* - I know that I ruled out the sentibeing theory in regards to Adrien, but the theory could work in regards to creating an enemy like for example.....Lila
We don't know if Lila will be in the movie as it almost completely diverts away from the show's original plot but this could work as part of Mayura's attack.
Say that Gabriel told Nathalie everything including the part about Adrien being Chat Noir, this could work with Nathalie trying to sabotage the heroes from the inside.
So Nathalie creates Lila and whether they'll make Lila an actually bad person or a good person forced to be bad, well that's up to ZAG but she will do what she does best and that's lie.
How the story goes from there is left to the imagination.
It might not work to introduce someone like Felix as a sentibeing as we don't know if movie Emilie has a twin sister like the show as so far we know that movie Gabriel and movie Emilie knew each other from childhood and there wasn't some kind of starcrossed love situation.
So that's all I've got so far concerning the sequel.
I'm however curious with how they'll make it to 4 or 5 movies of the franchise since Gabriel villain arc ended in one movie, and if Nathalie's arc ends in the sequel then that will require an entirely new villain in order to bring in the other heroes of the Miraculous team.
It could be someone we never expected to be portrayed as a villain or it could be related to the lost miraculouses around the world.
Again, the Miraculous movie is a reimagined telling of the Miraculous tale so it's so far a blank canvas.
There is one thing I'm still curious about movie Emilie.....HOW LONG WAS SHE IN A COMA | DEAD!?!?!?!?
In Gabriel's flashback, Adrien appeared to be aged between 5 to maybe 7 or 9 and now he's 15 years old. So how did Gabriel preserve her body for so long as it doesn't look like he kept her in a kind of Snow White style cryogenic coffin.
I love these ideas especially the one with Lila
Also have Plagg start to have a bond with Adrien. Similar to the show in this case.

Nathalie becoming Mayura would be cool. Maybe she is in love with him and will replace Gabriel since he's in jail? Would be fun to see! A fight between her and Chat noir too. He deserved more screen time, Ladybug had enough in the first movie 😟It was more about her than him. Not cool to ignore a likable character plus it's not respectful to his fans (I'm one of them. I find his situation more sand that Marinette; Adrien is kind and cute. I love him as Chat, he's funny and always there for Ladybug. I even buy the Chibi plush for Christmas, he's chasing nightmares!) More focus on her and Adrien would be great.
did you notice chloe was wearing something like bee miraculous item on her hair in the ball and ladybug saved chloe and in the end she sund softer than beginning maybe we are getting the story we wanted

Feel like another movie could examine Chloe's relationship with Pollen, having someone with her that's both honest and willing to listen to her about her problems. That's something Chloe needs and could really help her development as a character.

One of the things a sequel would also have to deal with is the fact that the Identity Reveal happened. So if they do go ahead and introduce the other heroes, will the whole "must keep your identity a secret" thing still be a big deal?

@@chloeeng6811 Probably in general, but maybe not to each other? A small delay would be wise than revealing right away after a few sentences to any possible recruits. In general though, a secret identity keeps them from being targeted on a daily basis outside of their superhero persona(by either villians or media, paparazzi, fans, obsessive fans, people trying to get popular, etc). It also keeps groups from going after the people they care about
This movie was absolutely perfect. It was phenomenally better than the series as a whole.

The main issue here is that if you limit new characters to the third movie, doing a new villain then may be harder. The way to go may to be to only introduce a very limited set of new characters (max 3 or 4, I'm thinking probably chloe's parents and either lila or felix to fill the villain role in the next movie) and use them as a way of developing the current ones and looking forward without distracting.

The second movie should have Mayura be the main villain. It should also have Marinette and Adrian become a couple. Maybe Ladybug will even use the Butterfly Miraculous for good.
I feel like a mayor focus on Chloe would be nice. Even if she ends up teaming up with Hawkmoth, if the writing is well, I believe it could work.
Maybe a little bit of focus could be given to Fu as well. His backstory with the guardians can be explained in the second movie as well
I'm curious to see what Kagami looks like in this style and if they'll do what they did with Sabine and make her eyes bigger, which I wouldn't like because this is one of the main characteristics of their ethnicities and the others characters already have very big eyes.
Id kinda want a heavy chloe focus, her as both the main villain and give her the redemption arc. Give her the bee miraculus by accident after some scuffle with laila/felix. Then start her as an obsessed fan doing evil stuff to get ladybugs attention. And end with her acknowledging her wrongs and becoming a good antihero for paris. This is mainly bc i want the felix adrien senti monsters theme with mayura as the villain. This way they can pad out natalie and felix in the background.

I would like to see her Mom appear either in the Second Movie or the Third if it gets that far.
If it's more Chloe focused on want more interaction between Chloe and Pollen with Pollen actually becoming close to Chloe, like a confidant that Chloe similarly becomes attached to and it helps her start to become a better person, but then her mom shows up and causes Chloe to relapse.
For the next movie focus on the main five kids, Natalie as the villain, Marinette and Adrian's relationship, and do not add Lila, Felix, or anyone else really. Also do make any of the characters senti-monsters.

Chloe getting a redemption arc would be cool, though I could see that for the 3rd movie. Though I do want to see her become a Ladybug fan girl like she was early in the show.

Have her be a Anti-Hero in the Second and then focus on Redeeming her in the Third, while also getting more into her Family Drama, that might lead into the Introduction to Audrey and maybe Zoe.

Another argument why a Chloe redemption arc is likely is that Astruc wasn't involved with the movie and probably won't be for the second one either. So Zag can pretty much do whatever he wants with her, and as far as I know he's rather fond of her.
Honestly, I was thinking about this, too. And I cane up with the same conclusion. We vibin here.
the movie was honestly really fun to watch and the animation is pretty smooth, if we can get more of this id honestly be very happy.

I can't wait for the sequel! I still can't get over how Marinette and Adrien know each other's secret identities in the first movie, and the fact that it ended on a cliffhanger is making me feel so darn hyped for the next movie. More importantly, the 2nd movie BETTER be released in theaters across the US. I'm still not over the fact that it was only released on Netflix, as an amazing movie such as the awakening movie deserved to be shown on the big screen.
If you haven't already reviewed "Kung Food" I can't wait to see you review it and take Asstruc apart for trying to have an anti-racist moral while having a Chinese villain inspired by several Japanese stereotypes.
There’s a pretty good chance I think that Queen Bee and Rena Rogue will be new heroes and that Mayura will be the main villain, as in the movie’s opening exposition there was the bee, the fox, and peacock miraculous in addition to the cat, ladybug, and butterfly. That and the ending scene showing Emily’s corpse behind Gabe’s office. So the most important would be to establish Nathalie and Chloe as characters. Also I’d like to see Adrien and Marinette dating now that they officially become a couple at the end in the movie.

I would say the movie was way better than the show (which is not saying much lol), but we need better character development and character relationships. Plus, it will be nice to have rememberable Villains then great value brand joker.
I would love it if Natalie is on her Revenge arc in the second movie. Where she wants revenge on Gabe for what he put Adrien through, and for failing to save Emilie. Maybe some (she chose you over me angst). She’s not even trying to get the Miracle but she just wants to destroy Gabe. Like maybe she’s searching for an alternative way to heal Emilie but it’s not working and so the climax is her 1) trying to murder Gabe and 2) feeling resigned to getting the miraculouses to finish the wish. Personally I’d rather Have Lila as a Villain for a Chloe Marinette centered Arc since Lila and Chloe are similar but just different enough. I can definitely see the second movie maybe being centered around Alya and Marinette’s friendship as a parallel to Natalie and Emile. Trusting your friend with your secrets and standing your ground when you know what they’re doing is hurting them. Like maybe Marinette keeps fusing miraculouses or putting herself in unnecessary danger because “it’s for the greater good” and she doesn’t want the people she loves to be in danger. Just my thought soup
i feel like chloe have a better change of getting a redemption in the movie wich i love to see some of the other heros would be find sure i also love to see zoey more moment with marinette and adrien also wont mind to see a time skip or something since i love to see them a bit older

I would rather future movies in this series never do the sentimonster storyline since it destroys so much canon and makes many things not make sense at all, even basic establishing information about the show’s already fragile storyline. Just do Mayura justice in the second movie like it was with Hawkmoth, and I’m happy that being the extent of sentimonsters.
I wish we could see Luka in a movie. I know it doesn't make sense storywise, but I just miss my boy! If they keep the romance out of it Viperion's power would be so cool to see! but thats more me fangirling than being practical

What I didn’t like about this film is how the first song starts. The show fans obviously know a lot about Marinette, but the people that just watched the film & have never watched the show were probably confused on why she’s singing just as she left her house.
IMO I think we should’ve seen Mari go to school first and we should’ve seen how much of a reck she is in school, we don’t even have to get introduced to Alya straight away, we could’ve just learnt a bit about Mari then they could’ve made her sing after we see her mess up in school.
I also wish Cat Noir and Adrien had more songs, I hope he gets more in the second film if they make more songs. I didn’t like how Mari got more songs than him.

This would be me if I wrote part 2 Nathalie Somehow find Master Fu's house, maybe thanks to tsurugi corporation Villain team up or senti monster tracking, She transformed into mayura and stole the miraculous butterfly and miraculous bee But because Peacock was damaged, she was injured by miraculous and lost consciousness for a while and when she woke up bee miraculous was lost, Master Fu realized the danger of a villain with 3 miracles being extremely dangerous, so he wanted to ask ladybug and chat noir to find more heroes to let them use miraculous fox vs turtle., alya and nino are selected, Part 2 will focus on building the characters of team miraculous and introducing new villains mayura/Nathalie and the tsurugi corporation that supports the agrease family new character like kagami and tomoe as supporting characters Will be important in new parts. We have a few small battles to showcase they strengths power as well as team building, In the end, they defeated Mayura and her senti monster by teaming up but still let her escape, Adrien still doesn't know it's Nathalie, at the end of the movie we introduce Felix and Emilie as Adrien's new legal guardians, ladybug vs chat noir and new hero Rena rouge vs nino(?) Meet again and think why mayura didn't use miraculous bee if she have it, and plot twist or shock scenes we are know, Throughout the the whole movie Chloe always have it, she wears it on her head like jewelry Those of us who have watched the show will notice it but it's shocking and interesting enough for people who only watch the movie, part 2 It will be more of a build-up and introduction than the main story as the disaster build up to part 3 would be queen bé story as well as defeat mayura

Actually Adrien did meet Master Fu once. In s2 episode Syren after akumatized Ondine was defeated. Adrien did not get to know his real identity yet, but Fu gave him cheeses, that were in different colors, and if i remember correctly Fu also greeted Adrien by saying: Hello Cat Noir, or something similar. And Fu pretended to be substitute for Adrien's chinese teacher to get inside the mansion, so not only did he meet up with Adrien, but Fu was also able to trick Gabriel once. One thing I want to see is bunnix because of the reveal like cat Blanc the reveal happens Gabriel and Natalie finds out cat noir turns evil then everybody dies it would make sense so that’s my thoughts

Does it have to have canon stuff from the show? It could be more original (outside of canon). Though, if Lila were to be in the movie, she could be the villain instead of Mayura. We never exactly got a fleshed out backstory on her, in canon it's all just a jumbled mess. Perhaps, she and the the guardians (from season 4) could come together and be part of her lore. While in the canon show, Master Fu was all about his mistake and what he had done at the temple. Maybe scrap that idea, but make it where Lila was part of the guardians and training to be one, but stole a miraculous for her own selfish reasons? I don't know I'm just making it up as I go. Perhaps we won't have Lila and that would be fine or we do but she'd actually be a fleshed out character then what the show did. It doesn't need to be like the canon show, it could all be an original story and honestly I'd like that more then whatever they come up with for Season 6.

my idea for the ladybug and cat noir movie 2 is to have Lila show up and it throws ladybug and cat noir's relationship in the mud as marinette fells unworthy of adrien's love. Lila would than steal the fox miraculous and become the villain of the film. so ladybug and cat noir would have to fix there relationship and stop Lila. then in movie 3 we would have mayura send her senti monsters after ladybug and cat noir so they have to bring new heroes in to help them.

This one film decently saved the franchise for me. More so was the Claw Noir and Shadybug special. (Seriously wished they weren't turned "good" I mean they were broken NOT "evil" in the first place)
Anyway back on topic. . . Honestly I believe a sequel would hurt this masterpiece. The point of Miraculous was Adrien and Marinette's (toxic love) relationship. It wrapped up nicely and NOT FORCED.
Marinette wasn't a stalker. Ladybrat immediately knew without Cattastic Kitty Cat Noir she she wouldn't be a hero. Trusting within and heck even falling in love beautifully but denying it.
Same wirh Adrien, the fury towards Gabriel (whom was actually very likable here, his emotion) things like that.
Of course Nino and Adrien's friendship given a spotlight tho small. LOVE that.

Honestly I preferred the movie version over the show as this is more well written and not all over the place. I thought of watching the show but I don't like the many, many issues it has and that grand finale stinks.
*Because of how better the animation looks in the movie it is honestly hard to go back to the inferior looking tv series. I still think that the movie should have come out first then the show.*

After this sequel the movie versions of Ladybug and Cat Noir should definitely meet the show versions and the versions that were formerly villains in the Paris special before as adults in the series finale when Felix and Cerise are the new main anti-heroic/villainous antagonists of the show and Adrien goes through a mental dissociative identity disorder after that Cat Blanc nightmare that was unleashed on him before like his "Green Goblin" split personality who makes him think he's his pal who thinks he knows what's best but is really manipulating him from inside his head and is a psychic sociopath and it'll have to be up to a reformed Chloe after her defeat as Quenn Mayor to snap him back to reality and find his own strength and take the internal fight to his other side of him
I really didn’t like Plagg’s change in character in this version right off the bat, that really rubbed me the wrong way!!(kinda didn’t like Adrian’s character change’s and Fu too!), and the songs were cute; (except hawk moth, those were pretty cringy), but nothing really great except maybe the rooftop song was pretty good I guess.
I want bridgette and felix to be adrien and marinette's cousins and felix and bridgette would have come from london and they hate each other so muchhhh😁😂 they will come to paris and every one will think they have twins!!! And alya nino bridgette and felix will one day accidentally find out lb and cn identity while sneaking! .......in end LB and CN combine (not miraculous only powers) and save paris from null!!! I have a huge story on it...

Let’s be honest this was a musical!, and it that means 50/50 wether good or not-
IMO 2nd miraculous movie can be Accessed as a universe so the show miraculous and movie miraculous have a chance of combining.
The first movie was absolutely rushed and half baked... Ridiculous. The characters fell for each other over bare minimum interactions, and the ending (My dear God) was insanely bad. Super lazy writing, so much potential.
Honestly, rather than making a 2nd movie, I'd rather they just added the deleted scenes to the first one, removed a couple songs, and it would give some more time for the characters to develop. IDK
Ok but what if Chloe doesn’t become a hero and becomes a villain and fights alongside mayura. What if Chloe discovers Marinette is ladybug before she gets the bee miraculous. That would be a big motivation for her to become a full fledged villain when she becomes Queen Bee.
