Fun fact: "life size velociraptor" was actually about the size of a golden retriever. A certain movie franchise has lied to us. It actually makes the perfect house pet for Stephen.
They actually did find another type of raptor that was significantly larger and would have been more like the ones in the movie. It was really interesting because the species fossils were discovered in Montana if I am remembering the article correctly and it was not that long after the movie franchise started.
For the Sevinne's reclamation, one counterspell was enough as the copy from the flashback is not a on cast trigger but on resolution. It's kinda tricky and i made the same mistake in a match before so i don't say this as a complaint but as a fun fact for those who didn't knew.
31:39 _breathy whisper_ _T I T A N ._ *Dnn Dnn Dnnnnnnnn* Also, if ever there was a topdeck to win the game... that would be it. Also also, I don't believe Jon deserves to argue that last combo is infinite when he denies Painter's Servant + Grindstone is an infinite combo.

I would like to request a commander game where you play Mage tower. Pretty much you all pick Stryhaven commander and each of you start the game with Strixhaven Stadium as a partner commander.
46:30 technically the copy Sevinne's Reclamation creates is part of the resolution of the spell if cast from graveyard- so for you to get a copy of it at all it has to resolve - thus only one negate is enough to fizzle it completely
@@rocketrae21 from gatherer: 8/23/2019 If the target card is an illegal target by the time Sevinne’s Reclamation tries to resolve, the spell doesn’t resolve. You won’t copy it if you cast it from a graveyard.

"No one has destroyed a Scrabbling claw since 2004" Not true Justin. Fun fact for the day, when zendikar 2 came out, there was a short period of time where the eldrazi decks played Scrabbling claw to enable blight herder. When the eldrazi that required a colorless came out, THAT was the last time someone destroyed a claw. This has been a PSA. :P

I love watching y'all play! It's always so much fun! Reminds me of a regular commander game with a few friends in a way that few others manage. How far are we from viewer submitted week?
Stephen is on a roll this season! The Golg..er Whiterbloom commanders in Strixhaven are doing well, and they haven't even played with their elder dragon as commander. And the "unprofessionalism" is what sets this series apart!
You guys should do the box cover strixhaven precon commanders with the 200 dollar budget to upgrade. Always loved watching the precon episodes than the upgrade ones to see how good they could really be.
I don't know who edits these videos but they should be able to take out the Windows Notification sound. Played a couple times and had me looking for emails or updates on my own machine.
Recently had two ideas for deck building restrictions that y'all may like. Only play cards printed in sets that have been standard legal and only cards printed in supplemental products. Not sure how well the only supplemental products would do, but it should be fine with all of the commander decks that have been printed.
I have a theory that game nights let’s them pick their starting hand or at least part of it. Considering how often they have perfect ramp- sol rings etc. perfect turn 1 and 2s. Perfect card draw engines turn 2-3. Like every time. If you think about how much they have to gain for having a good game as opposed to getting screwed by their decks bricking or drawing super high cmc early and no card draw or ramp. Think about it.
I think this season basically boils down to who wants Stephen to win the most? I could be wrong here, but every game I've seen thus far is mostly Stephen bargaining himself into 2nd place, or he's left alone enough to win.

#TeamGreen. last week I commented that Stephen was cooking up a season win with Gyome. He definitely is on his way to another title. Stephen learned to put infinite combos in his deck from Justin.
So as for one of the hardest deck building restrictions for this show, you should all build decks that have 0 cards (besides basics) that have been seen on the show before.
Why not run strionic resonator or lithoform engine to take full advantage of that commander? Running scrabbling claws without any way to untap it or copy the effect seemed underpowered.

Yeah having a commander with a two card combo win con really takes the fun out of the game. You basically need to take them out first regardless of the rest of the players.
