Just discovered your work only a couple days ago, and I love it. Reminds me so much of mid-century illustration greats, like Al Parker and Bob Peak. Thank you for sharing your process; you've already been a huge inspiration for me and my own work 👍
hi Jon! Do you have any videos showing how you pick your references? if not, could you make one about it and turn it digital to send to your clients?? Absolutely gorgeous work
I notice that in your reels on instagram you often really experiment with colours. But with most of your paid/serious work you just stick to those 4 or so primary colours. Are you making a conscious choice to keep to that style of colouring? Is it so that you can focus one the work itself (composition, story telling, etc)? Are you attempting to have all your work be harmonious? I'm just curious! your work is great and I emulate your approach quite abit :)
I pretty much always start with primary colors or a limited palette in general. The experimental stuff is just that, and bits and pieces of those exercises make themselves into all of the work in more subtle ways usually.
Love love love watching the process.
Many thanks!
Wonderful!
love to see it!

Wunderbar
Do you use the gray underpainting to set a midtone or to have it shine through the second layer of color?
Thank you
Beautiful work
Thanks, and both!
As always beautiful work, but is it something happening with the audio? I can't listen to anything
@@jorgelh1925 thanks yeah I don’t know what happened, I’m gonna work on it, mega annoying.

I spent a long time developing oil painting skills because I thought acrylics were just for students. Clearly not.
