Funny I just saw the CardMarket video on Jund/Golgari Midrange and now seeing the modern version of the deck being showcased is coincidence that I’m happy to see.
I'm not sure if the opponent forgot the Enlist in game 1. You can't enlist a creature with summoning sickness, so the Adeline wasn't an option. Enlisting the Coppercoat would have left them open to a lethal crack back even without the removal.
Nice to see Golgari do well. I'm not too sure about the Vraska, though. Every time I see it, it doesn't seem to do much. In that last game here, admittedly, it did draw a lot of cards for once.
Vraska is great if you need card draw and/or have a lot of things to proliferate but I feel like another sheoldred or another trespasser or another good black planeswalker like professor onyx would be better for this deck
This is exactly my jam, I love fair midrange. It feels really bad when you get control, ramp or monoblue (poor Mike did really get the wrong quarter of his deck), but when you win through a fair game, you know navigating combat, gradually finding your way ahead through card quality and good use of the resources, that's really playing the game.
What does green get? Big creatures! What does black get? Hard removal! Combine them to get... Big creatures and hard removal! Which doesn't sound very synergistic but is surprisingly effective. ... except black has all the big creatures these days. So... the green doesn't add all that much.
The merfolk is sneaky good, you can also play a couple of sacrifice lands to repeatedly get them back. Not sure if it's better than mono-black. But I have more fun with Golgari
Wayfinder it's great... see the next card, leave it on top or put it in the graveyard, and put a land from the graveyard into the battlefield IF IT HITS. That shit makes it VERY HARD for me to play it without something like fight rigging. Tear asunder... very underrated. 5:52 - bet the shit was a top deck.
My friends loved the rock and had many average PTQ finishes. I preferred psychatog and would routinely top 8. My one regret was not running psychatog at PT Osaka. My decklist is online if you google PT Osaka 2002. It is a 3 colored masterpiece that only worked in play testing but not in the actual tournament.
@@Jay-kf3od Yeah it sucks, the match maker must attempt to match strategies against each other. So if you build a deck around beating aggro and enchantments, you will no longer face them. Why WOTC does this is beyond me, all I know is I'm losing my patience with Arena and will probably be deleting my account soon. I have been playing table top again at my local game store. Hope WOTC figures their shit out with Arena.
Mike? Mike! Mike. 😂😂😂
What the 🦆 did they keep?
Did you have any cards in your hand? Lol.
Snake? Snake. Snaaaaake!

The repeated removal has won me a few games but yeah it's a weird one.

@@VOIDWALKER_333well onyx isn't in standard anymore but sorin is a good replacement for card draw
@@sniff494 ah I see... I don't play much standard. But yeah sorin can also create lifelink creatures so that's another plus
Nice video CGB.
Also, Wizards… let’s get those glass lands in the store.
Tear asundering a battle is such a cool sneaky thing. I’ve won a couple sneaky games by tearing a battle they went all in on

yeah, golgari is only good right now as mono black with glissa and enchantment removal

The Rock!
What format are you playing recently
Press F for Mike.
Mono black got really hurt by the bans, but multi-colored black decks kept their oomph.
Rock smash.
This is one of the best cbg videos I've seen in a long time. Not to say it hasn't been good. Just not this good.

CGB is the best!
Mike...poor Mike...
Deli-oooooge.
Well. 50% of my matches are against GW enchantments. Guess it's time to fire up Glissa
Yeah then you'll only play against AZ control. Funny how that works isn't it?
@@kyledetoro5350 You are 100% right. I brewed up a Glissa deck... 75% of my match ups were against Atraxa/Domain.

Code?
Briarbridge showed out
mono black aggro with painlands and weaker cards
5:29 - ?
shelly hmmm 😑😑😑
Missed lethal 27:59. It was easy. Make treasure, blitz the underdog, play shelly and gg
man it requires 8 mana not 7
@@x13xln4k9 Wouldn't he get treasure from plansewalker?
@@Gbelefer the opponent gets the treasure.
4 cut down is too many. There are other 1 mana black spells, i dont go over 2 in my deck unless I have a way to draw / discard
